(Minghui.org) I started Falun Dafa cultivation practice in the autumn of 2015 to cure my illness. The experience sharing articles that I read on the Minghui website each day have helped boost my faith in Master Li Hongzhi, the founder of Falun Dafa, and Dafa. So when a fellow practitioner asked me to accompany him on a trip to collect experience sharing articles from a rural village, I jumped at the opportunity.
During this journey, I heard a number of amazing, moving stories, which served to reinforce my belief in Master and the Fa.
1. The Practitioner Whose Intestines Fell Out after Surgery
I met an 84-year-old practitioner, who described the operation he had undergone in 2003 for colorectal cancer. Doctors were unable to close the surgical incision properly after surgery and as a result, his intestines fell out through the reopened surgical wound shortly after his surgery.
This practitioner spent three hours lying quietly on his hospital bed, cradling his intestines with his arms to prevent them from falling to the ground. His condition horrified the attending doctors and nurses who ran out of the ward. His wife, a fellow practitioner, and his family members were so traumatized that they waited outside his room in tears, unable to bear the sight.
After further examination, the doctors finally admitted that they were unable to close the surgical wound. A surgeon placed the practitioner’s intestines back inside his body and stitched a single suture to superficially close the hole, before wrapping the site with plenty of bandages. The hospital waived all operation fees and urged his family to take him home.
At this point, I interrupted the story and asked, “Throughout this whole ordeal, were you afraid?” This practitioner replied, “I felt no fear, as I kept the thought that I am a Falun Dafa practitioner firmly in mind.”
Once home, his wife washed his wound with saline solution. The following day, the couple noticed that the wound was healing on one side. The practitioner’s wife removed the single suture stitch and the wound rapidly began to close. However due to the difficult nature of his wound, a 3cm to 4cm hole remained (approximately 1 ½ inches). At this point , n amazing thing occurred. A piece of flesh began growing from inside his body and blocked this gaping hole!
Within 15 days his surgical wound had healed and he was able to walk around on his own.
His miraculous recovery caused a stir in the local community, convincing many people of the amazing powers of Falun Dafa. News of his recovery also reached the hospital. In an attempt to reclaim the waived surgical fees, the hospital dispatched lawyers to claim credit for his recovery.
This practitioner, accompanied by his wife, visited the hospital to clarify the truth about the persecution of Falun Dafa to the staff. The practitioner told them, “Your medical treatment was not successful in healing my wound; rather, it was Falun Dafa and Master Li Hongzhi who saved my life.”
After thoroughly clarifying the truth, the old couple handed over the 2,000-yuan surgical fee to the hospital.
2. The Great Compassion of Dafa Practitioners
Another practitioner told me of his experience with his daughter and her ex-boyfriend. His daughter had broken off the relationship and the bitter young man followed her home one day. He stabbed her with a knife more than 50 times and viciously gouged her eyes with his hands before pushing her from the fourth floor.
This practitioner’s daughter, who is a Falun Dafa practitioner herself, miraculously survived. She told her parents that she had asked Master for help during her ordeal. As a result, she experienced little pain during the stabbing. When she fell from the fourth floor, she felt a warm, big hand cushion her fall.
After the incident, her appalled ex-boyfriend’s family visited twice. The young man’s family offered compensation of 20,000 yuan and then 50,000 yuan. This practitioner gently rejected their offers and instead clarified the truth about the persecution of Falun Dafa to them. During their daughter’s hospitalization, the practitioner and his wife had the opportunity to clarify the truth to visitors and persuaded more than 20 people to quit the Chinese Communist Party (CCP).
After his daughter was discharged from the hospital, this practitioner, along with his wife and daughter, visited the local prosecutor’s office and withdrew all charges against the young man.
Although their daughter had been severely injured by her ex-boyfriend, this practitioner and his family refused to blame her attacker or his family. Their generous actions impressed the young man's family so much that they quit the CCP and borrowed two copies of Zhuan Falun. The practitioner and his family also attempted to visit the attacker at the detention center to clarify the truth to him. Unfortunately, local regulations prohibited criminals from receiving visitors, and they were not allowed to meet with him.
This excursion to this rural village reinforced my belief in Master and the Fa. In the process of gathering these stories, I uncovered many of my own deficiencies, elevated my understanding and gained a deeper appreciation of the sacrifices Master has made on behalf of practitioners.
