Additional Persecution News from China – October 9, 2017 (20 Reports)

(Minghui.org) Today's news from China includes incidents of persecution that took place in 19 cities or counties in 8 provinces. According to this report, 9 Falun Gong practitioners were subjected to mistreatment during their detention, and at least 17 were illegally arrested.

1. [Beijing] Ms. Pang Xiuqing Detained

Ms. Pang Xiuqing of Shuyi District was arrested on the afternoon of October 6, 2017 and taken to the Zhangxizhuang Police Station. Police ransacked her home and confiscated about four printers as well as Falun Gong informational materials.

2. [Jilin City, Jilin Province] Ms. Liu Shuzhen Arrested, Whereabouts Unknown

Ms. Liu Shuzhen, who resides on Qipan Street, and her husband were arrested at home by four officers from the Wulajie Police Station on the morning of October 7, 2017. They were taken to the Wulajie Police Station. Their home was ransacked and a computer and printer were confiscated. Ms. Liu's husband was released. Ms. Liu's whereabouts are unknown.

3. [Shulan City, Jilin Province] Ms. Wu Xiangli and Mr. Xu Wenguo Detained

Ms. Wu Xiangli was arrested at her relative's home by Ren Hongquan and a half dozen officers from the Tiedong Police Station on the morning of October 7, 2017. She was taken to the Jilin City Detention Center.

Mr. Xu Wenguo was arrested on the morning of October 7, 2017.

4. [Siping City, Jilin Province] Mr. Lu Binwen and Ms. Wang Libo Arrested

Mr. Lu Binwen, professor at Siping City Normal University, was arrested on the university campus by officers from the Siping City Police Department on October 4, 2017. His home was ransacked.

Ms. Wang Libo was arrested on October 4, 2017. Her home was ransacked.

Ms. Feng Yuqing was arrested at home.

6. [Changchun City, Jilin Province] Ms. Gu Lina Detained

Ms. Gu Lina was arrested at home by officers from the Changchun City Police Department and Yingchunlu Police Station on the morning of October 7, 2017. Her home was ransacked, and her Falun Gong books, picture of the teacher of Falun Gong, computer, printer, and other items were confiscated. She was taken to the Changchun City No. 4 Detention Center.

7. [Pengzhou City, Sichuan Province] Mr. Deng Chuanjiu Family Abused

Three officers from the Gexianshan Police Station went to see Mr. Deng Chuanjiu on October 7, 2017, but he was not at home. The next morning, a dozen people from the Gexianshan Town government, 610 Office, and police station broke into his home. Mr. Deng was out, but his son, daughter-in-law, and his father, who is in his 80s, were at home. The officers ransacked the place, confiscated all Falun Gong books, 2 notebook computers, and a printer. They handcuffed Mr. Deng's wife and son and beat them after closing the windows and shutting the curtains. The beating lasted an hour. Mr. Deng's wife and son were taken to the Gexianshan Town Police Station. They were released after they were forced to sign documents.

8. [Luzhou City, Sichuan Province] Ms. Wu Derong Detained

Ms. Wu Derong, 70, lives in Xinle Township, Naxi District. On the evening of September 18, 2017, the power suddenly went out when she and her husband were watching TV at home. She went out to check the meter. Once she opened the door, police officers swarmed in and arrested her. They ransacked her home and took her to the Anfuqiao Detention Center.

9. [Fuyang City, Anhui Province] Ms. Xin Yufang Detained

Ms. Xin Yufang of Yingzhou District was arrested by three officers from the Wenfeng Police Station on September 12, 2017. Her home was ransacked. She was held for 15 days in the Xiguan Detention Center, and then transferred to the Fuyang City Women's Detention Center.

10. [Jinan City, Shandong Province] Ms. Zheng Mei Arrested

Ms. Zheng Mei was arrested at home on September 28, 2017.

11. [Qixia City, Shandong Province] Ms. Ruan Riling Arrested

Ms. Ruan Riling of Madi Village was arrested at home by officers from the Tangjiabo Town Police Station on October 3, 2017. Her home was ransacked and Falun Gong books and personal items were confiscated. She was taken to the police station and released the same day.

12. [Guan County, Shandong Province] Mr. Chen Tingxiang Released

Mr. Chen Tingxiang of Xiaoguozai Village, Qingshui Town, husband of Ms. Sun Xiuying, was arrested in April 2016, for talking to people about the persecution of Falun Gong. He was taken to the Guan County Detention Center and released in the summer 2017.

13. [Anlu City, Hubei Province] Mr. Qiao Guangqing Detained

Mr. Qiao Guangqing from Huadu District, Guangzhou City, Guangdong Province, was arrested in Anlu City on September 26, 2017. He is being held at the Anlu City Detention Center.

14. [Shenzhen City, Guangdong Province] Ms. Zhu Yi Arrested

Ms. Zhu Yi was arrested at home on October 7, 2017.

15. [Jiangmen City, Guangdong Province] Ms. Xie Qing Detained

Ms. Xie Qing, in her mid 40s, was arrested around September 21, 2017. She is being held at the Jiangmen Detention Center. The situation of Axin, her husband, is unknown.

16. [Shenzhen City, Guangdong Province] Ms. Zhu Zhu Arrested

Ms. Zhu Zhu of Shanlinyuan, Bagualing, was arrested on the afternoon of October 7, 2017, by officers who were monitoring a practitioner surnamed Zhang. Her home was ransacked.

17. [Shanghai] Mr. Cheng Yongxin Arrested

Mr. Cheng Yongxin was arrested in his shop by officers from Haimen City, Jiangsu Province.

18. [Chengdu City, Sichuan Province] Ms. Wu Yulin's Home Ransacked

Ms. Wu Yulin is a practitioner in Wenjiang District. Her home was ransacked by officers on the afternoon of September 30, 2017. The officers confiscated her Falun Gong books and a picture of Falun Gong's teacher. They also tore two Minghui calendars that contained Falun Gong information.

Her home was last ransacked by officers on April 20, 2016.

19. [Nanjing City, Jiangsu Province] Ms. Lin Xia Detained

Ms. Lin Xia has been detained at Shifosi Detention Center since September 6, 2017.

20. [Lanzhou City, Gansu Province] Mr. Wang Ruilin and Mr. Zhang Jianhua Detained

Mr. Zhang Jianhua was arrested at his relative's home in Qilihe District on July 28, 2017. He was released on bail on August 11, 2017.

Mr. Wang Ruilin of Xigu District, present at the same place, was also arrested. Mr. Wang is being held at the Lanzhou City No. 1 Detention Center.
