(Minghui.org) Today's news from China includes incidents of persecution that took place in 11 cities or counties in 8 provinces. According to this report, 7 Falun Gong practitioners were subjected to mistreatment during their detention, and at least 28 were illegally arrested.

1. [Jilin City, Jilin Province] Three Practitioners Arrested
Ms. Duan Shuying, Ms. Wang Minzhi, and Ms. Zhao were arrested by officers including the director of the Huashan Police Station, Fengman District on December 3, 2016, for distributing calendars having information about the persecution of Falun Gong on them.
2. [Luzhou City, Sichuan Province] Ms. Zhao Zhaoquan Sentenced
Ms. Zhao Zhaoquan, in her 70s, was sentenced to a two-year-and-six-month prison term and fined 3,000 yuan. The verdict was delivered to her home on November 25, 2016.
3. [Yinchuan City, Ningxia] Eight Practitioners Arrested
Ms. Zhang Xiaochun was arrested by plainclothes officers on November 23, 2016.
The officers later arrested seven practitioners at Ms. Duan's home. Some of them were Ms. Duan, Ms. Tan Xiuxia and her mother, Ms. Wang Guixiang. Ms. Zhang, Ms. Tan and another practitioner are still detained, the five others were released.
4. [Linyi City, Shandong Province] Five Practitioners Arrested and Four Harassed
Mr. Li Yuzhang was arrested by officers, led by Huang Baohui, from the Zhuge Police Station on November 30, 2016. The police confiscated table calendars, Falun Gong books, and banners having information about the persecution of Falun Gong on them. The police later wanted to arrest Ms. Li Jinling, Mr. Li's daughter, but she was not at home. They ransacked her home instead.
Ms. Cai Yongshu was arrested on the same day and her home was ransacked later by the same officers, who confiscated table calendars, banners, Falun Gong books, and other personal belongings. Ms. Cai was taken to Linyi Detention Center that evening.
Ms. Pang Shimei was also arrested and had her home ransacked on the same day. The officers confiscated table calendars, Falun Gong books, and paper bills having information about the persecution of Falun Gong on them.
Mr. Wang Peizhi and Mr. Wang Yiming were also arrested. They also tried to arrest Ms. Liu jingyun but to no avail. Mr. Yang Jianguo and Ms. Pang Chuanzhi were harassed.
Mr. Wang Yinming is detained and Ms. Pang. and Mr. Li were released because they failed the required physical examination for detention.

5. [Yantai City, Shandong Province] Ms. Xin Xiumei Sentenced
Ms. Xin Xiumei, held at the Yantai Detention Center, was sentenced to a two-year prison term. The court officials, including the presiding judge Wang Keyong, delivered the verdict to the detention center on December 2, 2016.

6. [Shenzhen City, Guangdong Province] Ms. Xiong and Her Daughter Arrested
Ms. Xiong, in her 40s, and her non-practitioner daughter were arrested at home around October 25, 2016. Their whereabouts are unknown.
7. [Qinhuangdao City, Hebei Province] Ms. Wang Hua and Ms. Jiang Shuying Arrested
Ms. Wang Hua and Ms. Jiang Shuying, 70, were arrested by officers from the Hongqi Road Police Station on November 4, 2016, for talking to people about the persecution of Falun Gong. Ms. Jiang was later released and Ms. Wang was taken to the Qinhuangdao City Detention Center. Ms. Wang held a hunger strike to protest the illegal detention. She was taken to the Qinhuangdao Police Hospital. She was released on November 10.
8. [Yichang City, Hubei Province] Three Practitioners Arrested
Ms. Zhan Yanping and two other practitioners were arrested at Yiling District on November 30, 2016, for talking to people about the persecution of Falun Gong. One was released due to her old age. Ms. Zhan and the other practitioner are still detained.
9. [Wuhan City, Hubei Province] Ms. Yan Youlian Arrested
Ms. Yan Youlian was arrested by six officers from the Hujing Police Station on November 23, 2016. She was taken to the police station. Ms. Yan was released that afternoon. She was taken back to the police station several days later. This time she was photographed, her blood was drawn, and her fingerprints were taken.
10. [Chaoyang City, Liaoning Province] Ms. Tian Yulian Arrested
Ms. Tian Yulian was recently arrested.
11. [Chongqing] Mr. Liu Daoquan's Father Taken to Brainwashing Center
Mr. Liu Yingliang, Mr. Liu Daoquan's father, was arrested at home and taken to the Qianzhugou Brainwashing Center.
Mr. Liu Daoquan was in critical condition and was released on medical parole. Yongchuan Prison took him back to prison regardless of his situation. His father, through his lawyer, filed lawsuits with the Yongchuan Court and Yubei District Court against Chongqing Prison Administration Bureau for violating the regulations of medical parole. However, his lawyer was told by the Yongchuan Court and the Yubei District Court that the suits were rejected.
