(Minghui.org) “Open the door, open the door!” shouted the police as they broke into Ms. Ning Dengxiu's home. After throwing her to the floor, they forcibly took a blood sample from the 70-year-old Falun Gong practitioner.
Ms. Ning was doing housework on December 16, 2014, when she suddenly heard loud knocking and shouting at her door around 3 p.m. She saw six police officers outside her door, and quickly locked it. The officers forced their way into her home and held her to the ground. Ms. Ning struggled and shouted, “Falun Dafa is good!” The police panicked and tightly covered her mouth, causing her lips to bleed. Ms. Ning could not move, and the officers drew blood from her left thumb.
When her neighbors heard Ms. Ning's cries, they rushed over and demanded to know why the police were attacking an innocent woman. The officers said that they were only doing their duty, then hurriedly left. The villagers were outraged that the police would break into an older woman's home and abuse her thus.
Ms. Ning is nearly 70 years old, but looks like she's in her fifties. Despite her age, she enjoys good health because she practices Falun Gong. Although she never went to school, she can read Zhuan Falun fluently.
Prior Arrest
Ms. Ning was arrested at the Qingtuo Town market on July 16, 2014, when she talked to people about the benefits of Falun Gong. She was taken to the Qingtuo Town Police Station and interrogated, where she refused to give her name in order to protect her family members. However, the police identified Ms. Ning from her tricycle’s license number. They forced her to undergo a health checkup and illegally detained her for nine days.
Ongoing Harassment
Officers from the Yinan County Police Department and the 610 Office continued to harass Ms. Ning. They came to her home at noon on December 4 and told her to go to the police station to sign some papers, assuring her that she could return home afterwards. Ms. Ning refused, stating, “I've committed no crime, and I'm not going.” When the police suddenly became very aggressive, Ms. Ning ran out of her home, shouting, “Thieves are in my home!” The police panicked and quickly left.
