(Minghui.org) My fellow practitioners and I are from the countryside where we have clarified the truth about Falun Dafa to over 200 households in three villages. The following stories illustrate a few key experiences.
“Falun Dafa Couplets Are My Favorite!”
Practitioners in my area have been hand-delivering truth-clarification calendars, couplets, and Shen Yun DVDs to every family in our village through recent years. Standing in front of countless doorways, we have talked to people about Falun Dafa and the persecution, and have helped them renounce their communist organization memberships.
During the Chinese New Year, many households posted Falun Dafa couplets on their front doors, including the village officials who had previously been involved with the persecution.
These couplets displayed, “Falun Dafa Is Great! Truthfulness-Compassion-Forbearance Is Great!” I especially remember that the Jin family brothers were eager and enthusiastic about receiving our annual couplets.
One of them has also signed a petition against the persecution. Furthermore, the villagers that used to dismiss Falun Dafa facts now publicly express their support and even take the initiative to quit the communist organizations.
A Village Official's Change
One of the village officials had divulged a Falun Dafa practitioner's truth-clarification activities to the police. This led the practitioner to be sent to a forced labor camp.
After the practitioner was released from the labor camp, the village official avoided confrontation with him. But, the practitioner always took the initiative to greet him and clarified facts of Falun Dafa to him just as before. He advised the village official to wisely stay away from the Chinese Communist Party (CCP) so that he wouldn't be held accountable for its crimes. The practitioner also gave him New Year couplets and a calendar decorated with Falun Dafa content.
The official was so deeply touched by the practitioner's kindness and big heart that he decided to take his advice to quit the CCP.
The village official told the practitioner about a car accident in his relative's village. Three out of the four people in the car were seriously injured. The last villager, however, remained unscathed. He was the only one who was wearing a Falun Dafa lucky charm which he knew protected him from calamity.
The village official has thus changed, now acknowledging Falun Dafa is great and that Dafa practitioners are innocent people. He consistently praises practitioners for blessing their village with safety. He also protected Dafa practitioners by blocking follow-up inquiries about practitioners from his higher-ups.
A Village Official Joined His Wife in Cultivation
Practitioner Li Xinxin's husband is a village official. Over time, he became an abusive husband through the influence of the CCP and developed a hatred toward Falun Dafa in general. On the contrary, Xinxin did not retaliate and steadfastly treated him with compassion.
Xinxin's husband succumbed to the intense pressure and began violently beating her in an attempt to have her sever her ties to Dafa. She thought, “I'm a Falun Dafa practitioner who shoulders the responsibility of saving sentient beings. If I continue to accept his violence, my husband and fellow villagers won't be able to see the benefit of practicing Falun Dafa and won't obtain salvation.”
She exclaimed, “Stop! I will not allow you to treat me like this any more! I have been treating you, our children, and everyone in your family respectfully since I started practicing Falun Dafa.
“I have taken such good care of your paralyzed father that he preferred me over his own children as a caretaker before he passed away. What have I done wrong to deserve this?
“If I obey you and give up my cultivation practice, I would revert back to my old self. To make it clear, everyone in our families, including the elderly and the young, would dread me like they did before. Do you want that person back?
“My change is because I follow Master's teachings. You know clearly Dafa is precious. But instead you aren't thankful and chose to follow the wicked. What would you like for your future?”
Xinxin's words put her husband into deep thought. He slowly lifted his head and said, “I see. I will never beat you again.” He has changed a lot since then. He started reading Falun Dafa truth-clarification materials and even share them with other officials. Whenever people mentioned Falun Dafa, he would say, “Falun Dafa is good. There is nothing wrong with Truthfulness-Compassion-Forbearance. My wife is a perfect example.”
To Xinxin's surprise, her husband started studying Dafa books, doing the exercises and distributing truth-clarification materials to others. Now, the village accepts and endorses Xinxin and her husband's home operation of printing and preparing informational materials for distribution. Some even actively seek them out to request calendars and couplets.
“I Completely Believe in Falun Dafa Now”
Another villager had serious insomnia and spent a lot of resources on ineffective medication. During this time, Falun Dafa practitioners tried to clarify the facts of Falun Dafa to him and instructed him to repeat “Falun Dafa is good”. His reaction was dismissive.
When a Falun Gong practitioner saw him again this year, he still looked very exhausted. The practitioner sincerely shared with him many stories of how people's health had benefitted from Falun Dafa. He consequently promised he would repeat “Falun Dafa is good”.
A few days later, he enthusiastically told the practitioner that repeating the words during bedtime helped him successfully fall asleep. When the practitioner went to deliver a Chinese New Year calendar to him, the young man looked like a different person.
He was energetic and happy. He told the practitioner, “I completely believe in Falun Dafa now. I repeat the words every day and sleep soundly every night. I feel rejuvenated.” He then smiled and asked, “How do I quit the Chinese communist organizations?”
Up to now, almost all residents of these three villages have quit communist organizations. In the most supportive village, visiting Falun Dafa practitioners don't need to worry about being spotted delivering materials. Villagers would provide them directions or escort them to the places they sought. Like a visiting practitioner said, “This place is truly the land of the free.”
