Daycare Owner Arrested and Sent to Brainwashing Center

(Minghui.org) Police officers from Hubei and Jiangxi Provinces went to New-Heaven-Earth Daycare and arrested owner Ms. Xie Jinping on the afternoon of April 10, 2014. Ms. Xie practices Falun Gong.

A police officer told the teacher that he wanted to enroll his child in the day care center. As soon as the teacher opened the door, the officers rushed in. They searched the place and confiscated a computer, a printer, Shen Yun Performing Arts DVDs, Falun Gong books, and bank cards before taking Ms. Xie away.

Participating in the arrest were eight officers from the Hubei Province Huangmei County Domestic Security Division, including Chen Chaoliang and Huang Wei. Several other officers from the Guanpaijia Police Station in Jiujiang City assisted.

The next day, April 11, when Ms. Xie’s family went to the Huangmei County Domestic Security Division to ask about her, they were told that she had been transferred to Mahucun Brainwashing Center in Banqiao, Wuhan City. The police refused to specify the reason for the arrest and refused to allow her family to visit Ms. Xie.

Ms. Xie, 50, began practicing Falun Gong in 1994. She established the New-Heaven-Earth Daycare in 1997. For many years, Ms. Xie has been a highly trusted caregiver.

Ms. Xie went to Beijing twice to appeal after July 20, 1999, when the Chinese Communist Party (CCP) began persecuting Falun Gong. She was arrested on both trips.

In the winter of 2002, following a visit by a fellow practitioner from Nanchang, several police officers from Nanchang went to her day care and arrested Ms. Xie. The police tortured her with electric batons when they interrogated her. After Ms. Xie protested by going on a hunger strike, the officers pinned her to the ground and fed her concentrated salt water. She was later taken to Majialong Forced Labor Camp, where she was tortured repeatedly.
