(Clearwisdom.net) Under the influence of the Chinese Communist Party (CCP) culture, I found that I would feel a little funny whenever the words mi xin (blind faith) were mentioned. A picture would immediately come into my mind: Ignorant farmers living in the far away mountains kneeling down and worshiping all the way to a temple filled with the curlin smoke of incense, and other things. Sometimes, when I saw the Buddha statues in temples or someone's home, I would feel a little funny too.
Rationally, I knew that worshiping Gods and Buddhas was the right way, but I still had a strange feeling about it. Although sometimes I knelt down in front of our esteemed Master's picture, my mind was mixed, and therefore my sacred righteous thoughts were hard to come by. Now I have realized that this was the result of the bad influence of atheism that the CCP has been instilling into my mind all my life. Under such influence, as soon as mi xin was mentioned, words such as "ignorant," "irrational," and "blindly" would immediately come to my mind. Deep in my heart, elements of not believing in Gods still existed, and I would subconsciously put myself into the category of "ignorant people" who follow things blindly and irrationally, or "psychological comfort seekers" who have gone through frustration and dejection and take to believing in gods as consolation. I had failed to realize the sacredness of practicing cultivation in an open and noble manner. Instead I had some kind of furtive feeling, a fear of not being understood by others. In fact, deep in my mind, I had accepted the evil's slander against Dafa, accepted the evil notion that Dafa is "mi xin" and shameful, and accepted the evil's wantonly distorted definition and meaning of mi xin. As a matter of fact, Master has published two articles about mi xin, and I had failed to realize that they were eliminating this evil notion and restoring the reputation of mi xin.
Think about it, when lost in the maze, can humans possibly understand the nature of things clearly before they decide to believe in Gods? Absolutely not. The state of humans that Gods have created is nothing but a maze, and humans absolutely cannot break through the illusions before deciding to believe in something. Otherwise this would not be a human society. Therefore, in the human society, mi xin is the normal state of human life and pattern of thinking, which is indisputable.
Among the boundless crowds wandering in the maze, one can only believe in Gods depending on one's understandings from limited words. In this situation, it is difficult to distinguish truth from falsehood or a right way from an evil way. For Dafa disciples to completely understand Master's Fa, from my understanding, is impossible to begin with. Then shall we become doubtful and question our belief in our esteemed Master and Dafa? For genuine disciples, this is something one cannot even consider. Therefore Dafa disciples should completely have mi xin in our esteemed Master and have mi xin for Dafa openly and nobly without change, forever and ever.
It is allowed to analyze, measure and compare the Fa, at the human level, especially when one just begins to cultivate. However, looking from a higher level, doing this is irrationally slandering the Fa and Buddha. How can humans possibly measure Buddhas, Taos, and Gods? How can human notions possibly measure the Buddha Fa? If one has practiced cultivation to this day and still measures things, then it is the reflection of his notions from the irrational thinking of "Not fearing anything" and "mankind can defeat Heaven" from the Party culture.
Having mi xin toward our esteemed Master and Dafa is a good thing, actually a great thing. Isn't it the most correct thing for a human to do to respect heaven, earth, Gods and Buddhas? It is the most sacred thing among humankind. How could it be left in a dark corner and rejected? In fact, one should absolutely have mi xin for Buddhas, Taos and Gods, and even more absolutely for Dafa. If some practitioners don't like this sentence then, in my opinion, it reveals their notion of not believing in Gods. When I wrote down this sentence, my notions were fighting and making me feel uncomfortable, but I knew it was the element of not believing in gods. Writing this article is disintegrating it and anything that hinders my fellow practitioners (and me) from assimilating to Dafa, as well as saving sentient beings.
Master told Dafa disciples to be rational, clear minded, and to know what we are doing. This rationality and clear mindedness are not obtained from repeatedly measuring our esteemed Master and Dafa with our human notions and human standards, which are irrationally slandering the Buddha and the Fa. How can a little child understand his parents' efforts in educating him? Where does the genuine mi xin come from? It comes from the origin of our life. It is the genuine belief in Dafa from our knowing side, and the natural display of our genuinely melting into the Fa. What hinders us from assimilating to Dafa and saving sentient beings is the distortion of the meaning of mi xin instilled by the evil. It is exactly this notion that is keeping our true nature from emerging. Think about it everyone, what is the ultimate goal of cultivation practice? Believing in our esteemed Master without reservation is the absolute mi xin and supreme mi xin. Let's truly eliminate the notions that have been forced upon us and let our true nature emerge naturally.
