(Clearwisdom.net) During the holidays, I traveled with my family to Hong Kong, and I was very touched by the way practitioners from Hong Kong and Taiwan clarified the truth to tourists. I experienced what Master Li said at the "Fa Teaching at the 2007 New York Fa Conference":
"Master knows about your challenges. In the future, I will tell the Dafa disciples in mainland China about these challenges you have dealt with, and let them know about how you, under such trying circumstances, have validated the Fa and restrained the evil's persecution of them."
Thank you to practitioners from Hong Kong, Taiwan, and other parts of the world! I have two suggestions to share with you.
Eliminate the evil elements that control the tour guides
Please pay special attention to eliminating the evil elements controlling tour guides. Before and during our trip, I regularly sent forth righteous thoughts to eliminate any evil influencing the tourists and our tour guide. The tour guide did not mention anything about Falun Gong on the way to Hong Kong. When we arrived in Hong Kong, many of us received truth clarification materials from practitioners, and as soon as my fellow travelers boarded the bus again, they started reading. I was so happy for them. However, I neglected to send forth righteous thoughts for the tour guide. I did not think that a tour guide from Hong Kong would try to stop tourists from knowing the truth. My loophole was taken advantage of.
Our bus was the first to enter Hong Kong customs, but it was the last to leave. When the tour guide came on the bus, he appeared very angry. He said, "I was told that many people from this bus took copies of the Nine Commentaries on the Communist Party and Falun Gong materials. Hand them all over to me. Look at this pile of materials in the front of the bus. I collect a big pile every day. If you take these through customs, they will be confiscated." Some of the passengers retorted, "But this is a free society."
The tour guide then said, "The Chinese government has sent many spies to Hong Kong. If they see you, you will be in trouble when you return." Then, he grabbed the materials from a few passengers sitting in the front. I continued to send forth righteous thoughts to strengthen the tourists, helping them to keep the materials and their opportunities to know the truth. The passengers sitting in the back put their materials inside their bags. Some hid the Nine Commentaries and handed over the flyers.
With the righteous field becoming stronger, the tour guide stopped mentioning Falun Gong. He started talking about how good a free society is, and he condemned the corruption and fake or poisonous products being manufactured in China. I believe some spies may have monitored how many tourists took the materials and then pressured the tour guide.
On the second day, I met another tour guide at the pier. She seemed to know the truth about the persecution of Falun Gong, or perhaps she was a practitioner. She answered many questions about Falun Gong very wisely. When she walked us around, she took us on a route that allowed everyone to see a Falun Gong display and banners.
Based on my experience, I cannot agree more with suggestions from other practitioners posted on Clearwisdom that practitioners work as tour guide or recommend people who know the truth about Falun Gong to be tour guides. The role of a tour guide is very important. People from China have a lot of fear because the have lived under the tyranny of the Chinese Communist Party. The tourists all listened to the tour guides. If a tour guide scared them, no one dared to do anything. A righteous tour guide can have the opposite effect.
In addition, to those who clarify the truth at the tourist sites, please send forth righteous thoughts to eliminate the evil affecting tour guides. Every day, so many Chinese tourists go to or through Hong Kong. This is not accidental. Various arrangements have been made for sentient beings to learn the truth.
Display large banners
Please display large banners. The amount of time given on tours to spend at each tourist site is rather short. Tourists may not have much time to spend reading display boards. Some tourists are fearful, so they do not want to get too close to the displays.
The large banners are easy to see, even from a distance. Even if a tour guide steers people away from a truth-clarification site, they can still read the banners. Each banner will inspire people. In the bus depot at Huanggang Customs, there were many banners. Before we arrived, the passengers were chatting, eating, and joking. As soon as we arrived in Hong Kong and they saw the banners, they all become silent, including the children. Most of the passengers were shocked to see a sea of banners. Everyone was paying attention and seemed to be thinking. They did not seem to be paying attention to their surroundings until they saw the banners. Even after we returned home, my family members still talked about that moment.
I also would like to remind the practitioners to maintain the banners regularly and replace them when needed. Some of the banners are becoming worn after being outside for so long.
