(Clearwisdom.net) On the afternoon of December 5, 2007, student Mr. Feng Kun returned to Tianjin University of Commerce to speak with officials regarding his return to the school. But not long after he set foot on campus, school security personnel arrested and searched him. After they confiscated several truth clarification flyers from him, they took him to Jiarongli Police Station in the Beichen District.
Before this arrest, officers from the Shanggulin Police Station in the Dagang District arrested Mr. Feng, on October 27, 2007, and released him on November 2, 2007, after many people's rescue efforts.
As Feng Kun left class on the morning of November 23, 2007, more than ten people stopped him, including Zhao Shuai from Tianjin University of Commerce and Mr. Yang from the Student Affairs Office. They took him in a car to his home in Dagang. At the Sihuali Residential Center Office, they read him their "Decision to Revoke Student's Registration in Tianjin University of Commerce." The statement claimed that Feng Kun's registration had been disqualified. Feng Kun's grandmother and mother later on went to school officials to appeal for him, but they refused to listen.
Mr. Feng returned to the university on the afternoon of December 5 to negotiate, but was once again arrested.
Feng Kun was transferred to the Caozhuangzi No. 1 Detention Center in Xiqing District, Tianjin, on the morning of December 6, 2007.
