[Beijing] Exposing the Evil Jiang Zemin's undeniable historical responsibility to a detention center and an Office for Senior Officials

On a morning in mid-November, a loud speaker started to broadcast from the opposite building of one detention center in Beijing. The content of the broadcast was "The Undeniable Historical Responsibility of Jiang Zemin." There were lots of Dafa practitioners detained there. They were very excited to hear the broadcast.

In an afternoon in late November, a flyer was posted on the wall beside the Office for Senior Officials in Zhongnanhai, Beijing. This is another great undertaking recently carried out by Beijing practitioners to act following the cosmic change of Fa-rectifying the universe.

[Beijing] The truth of the Chinese government propaganda report "diseases caused by practicing Falun Dafa"

I am a Dafa practitioner from Beijing. In November 1999, one of my relatives (more than 80 years old) was admitted to Beijing Xiehe Hospital for treatment. Since he was very old and his condition was very serious, his family members had already started to make the funeral arrangements. Suddenly one day, a stranger walked to his sickbed and said: "If you could say that your disease worsens because you practiced Falun Gong and that Falun Gong has harmed you, we can reimburse all of your medical expenses." Then this person took out a piece of prepared material and asked the patient to make a statement by reading it. The upright old man was not moved by the the person's bad motives and calmly told the stranger: "I am so old and in such a bad condition. I know that I don't have many days left. I am not a Falun Gong practitioner. Why should I tell a lie and do such kind of mean things?" The stranger felt put off and slunk away. He went upstairs to another ward and found female patient over 40-years old with diabetes. She was from the countryside, very poor, and in serious condition. Hearing the deal offered by the stranger, she made a false statement against her own conscience and a false charge against Falun Dafa and its founder. This is just like Master Li said: "A single thought of a person determines his future."

[Beijing] A policeman mistreating Dafa practitioners died suddenly

A few days ago, over 20 Dafa practitioners from a county went to Beijing to verify Dafa. They were caught and sent to a detention center in Beijing. Because they did not tell their names and started a hunger strike, policemen tortured them brutally with electric batons and other barbarous instruments until after midnight. On the second day, one of wicked policeman died suddenly. This issue shocked others. The other policemen changed their attitude towards the Dafa practitioners suddenly and treated them extremely well. They were all released. Now these practitioners have joined in the great movement of assisting the Teacher for Fa-rectification.

[Manasi County, Xingjiang Province] A base and shameless policeman sells his relatives for rewards

A policeman in Manasi County, Xingjiang Province is very mean and willing to be Jiang Zemin's "talon". When his sister-in-law (a Dafa practitioner) and her son visited his parents, he seized a chance in her absence to search her bag. There stealthily he found two pieces of Dafa materials. In order to get a reward, he submitted these materials to the local police station immediately and reported to the police station in the area of her residency. Receiving the order to detain her for two days, he returned home right away with other policemen, and attempted to arrest his sister-in-law. Fortunately, this female practitioner left in time and his attempt failed. Her son is just two years old and her husband was already sentenced to forced labor camp because of practicing Dafa. Beyond her wildest expectation, her brother-in-law has proven to be without mercy or conscience.

[Wulumuqi City, Xingjiang Province] Dafa practitioner Lin Rengang is arrested and his home is ransacked by police

Dafa practitioner Lin Rengang from Wulumuqi City was arrested on December 5, 2000. His home was ransacked illegally by policemen from the Tianshan Police Station. His Dafa books, TV, tape recorder and other personal belongings were confiscated.

[Shenyang City, Liaoning Province] Dafa practitioner Li Xupeng is persecuted by police and forced to flee

Li Xupeng, male, 26 years old, worked in Shenyang Administrative College after he graduated from China People's University. He went to Beijing to appeal many times. The college fired him as a punishment for these peaceful appeals. He was arrested in December of 1999 and was not released until April of 2000. At the end of November 2000, police ransacked his home and his mother-in-law's home, and arrested both he and his wife. The police asked them to disclose the source of Dafa materials. On the second day, his wife was released because their 2-year old baby needed to be taken care of. He miraculously escaped from the watch of many police guards. Currently, he is on the list of those wanted by the police and cannot go home, but must flee. His wife has been fired as well because of her determination to practice Dafa.

[Jixi City, Heilongjiang Province] An evil policeman threatens to shoot a 12-year old Dafa practitioner to extort his confession

Dafa practitioner Wang Jianming, 12 years old, is from Jixi City, Heilongjiang Province. He and other practitioners went to the #8510 Farm to tell the true facts of Dafa to people there and distributed Dafa materials in early December 2000. They were arrested by the police station of the #8510 farm. After he was beaten, he was taken to the police station. An evil policeman put a bullet into his handgun and asked the young practitioner: "Do you know what is this?" The practitioner answered: "It is a gun." The policeman said: "If you do not answer my further questions, I will shoot you." The policeman threatened to shoot a 12-year old boy who follows Truthfulness, Benevolence, and Forbearance. It is a serious matter of dereliction of duty and a violation of the law. We hope more people step forward to snuff out evil.

[Harbin City, Heilongjiang Province] Vicious persecution of Dafa practitioners in Harbin City

1. Based on information from an insider, on November 17, 2000 (Friday), Luo Gan went to Harbin to push local officials to suppress Falun Gong further.

2. Wiring is being set up in some resident buildings to install video-monitoring facilities to prevent Dafa practitioners from posting Dafa materials in the corridors of the buildings.

3. Over 130 female Dafa practitioners are detained in Harbin Labor Camp (at WanJia town). The labor camp tortures practitioners mentally by playing cassettes and video tapes containing vicious verbal abuse of Dafa and Master Li, and arranges so-called "Transformed" persons to transform those practitioners who were determined to practice Dafa and who did not to write a pledge to break away from Dafa. Lots of practitioners who are determined to practice Dafa are detained and tortured individually in a small room, and are not released even when their sentence terms are due. Some so-called "Transformed" people think and behave abnormally. They cried before their transformations, and then wrote pledges to break away from Dafa. Later they became unusually excited: singing, dancing and telling stories. They failed to recall any Dafa scriptures. We call for help from all kind-hearted people from international community to stop these inhumane tortures.

4. During the recent large scale arresting and searching, police forcefully took away copiers and computers from some practitioners.

5. Four Dafa practitioners from Harbin Oil Refinery are determined to practice Dafa and refuse to write statement or pledge to break away from Dafa. Leaders of the plant were angry at their determination and sent them to police station by force. Another practitioner was deceived and sent to Harbin Mental Hospital for a forced examination and released only after doctors from the hospital verified that he was normal. Recently the practitioner went to Beijing to appeal again, and was arrested and sentenced to forced labor.

[Guangdong Province] Facts of Persecution of Practitioners in Guangzhou City

Dong Yuhua, female, (census register is Heilongjiang Province), lives in Baiyun District, Guangzhou City, and is about 25 years old. She went to Beijing to appeal on July 22, 1999 and was escorted back to Guangzhou City and sent by force to Fangcun mental hospital in Guangzhou City. She was treated as a psychiatric patient and suffered all kinds of inhuman tortures in the hospital such as forced injection, drugs and isolation. She was released from the Fangcun mental hospital on October 1, 1999.

Lin Qianyi, female, from Xichun Street, Liwan Disctrict, Guangzhou City, is 40 years old and has a heavy family burden. Her daughter is in middle school and one of her aged parents lies on the sickbed. Her husband's uncle is also bed-ridden and needs her help. In July 1999, she was dismissed from her work because of practicing Falun Dafa, which made her life even more difficult.

Zhang Shaoling, female, is from Liwan District, Guangzhou City. Her husband works in the Design and Planning Institute of Water and Electricity. Around July 10, 2000, after Zhang Shaoling gave Dafa materials clarifying the true facts to the people who monitor Falun Gong practitioners, the local police station forcefully detained her husband (a non-practitioner) and asked Zhang Shaoling to go to the police station in exchange for the release of her husband. Her home was ransacked and she was sent to forced labor in Chatou Labor Camp in Guangzhou City the next day.

Ge Jia, female, around 30 years old, is from Tianhe District, Guangzhou City, and an employee of Guangdong TV station. She went to fellow practitioner's home for a chat in October 2000, was arrested before she entered the door and was sent to forced labor in Chatou Labor Camp in Guangzhou City. Her husband Meng Fei was also detained because of this and is still in detention. It is said that the police are planning to prosecute Meng Fei with the charge of "having an ideological problem".

Zhou Mintong, male, about 30 years old, is from Haizhu District, Guangzhou City. In mid-July 2000, while he, his wife and his two aunts were chatting at home, the police broke into their home by force and detained all of them on the charge of "illegal gathering." Later, Zhou Mintong was sent to forced labor in Chini, Huadu District, Guangzhou City. His wife was illegally detained for 15 days. His two aunts were sent to forced labor in Chatou Labor Camp.

Chen Zhaobin, male, about 30 years old, driver, is from Guangdong Province. On October 30, he was arrested on the train when he was on the way to Beijing to appeal, and was sent to Shahe custodial station and detained for 52 days. Later, he was sent back to his hometown for further detention. In July 2000, he was detained for transporting the practitioners in Nanhai City, Guangdong Province and practicing Falun Gong at home. He was sent back to his hometown and detained for 30 days. When he was arrested for practicing Falun Gong at home, the owner of the house and several other practitioners who came for a chat were also arrested and sentenced to at least 1 year of forced labor respectively.

Li Miaolian, female, 29, is a singer in Guangzhou City. She went to Beijing to appeal in July 1999, was arrested and sent back to Guangzhou and was monitored by the police station and residential street committee. In June 2000, she went to Beijing and when her appeal was not accepted, she went to appeal on Tiananmen Square. After she came back, the police station deceived her into coming to the police station with the pretense of her writing letter to the head of the police station. They then detained and interrogated her for a whole day and night. Because she refused to write the "promise" to quit practicing Falun Gong, she was sent to Chatou Labor Camp for 3 years of forced labor. The whole process transpired without any formal legal procedure except for a telephone call to the family members. Someone disclosed that she insisted on studying the Fa and practicing the exercises in jail. She also put down the scriptures by memory, took them out and read them whenever she had time. In order to escape detection by the prison guards, she hid the scriptures in her hair. However the guards found it and they cut her long beautiful hair. She was punished with confinement for insisting on practicing Falun Gong. The police did not allow her relatives to visit her and it took a long time before she could get the clothes sent by her relatives. Li Miaolian's parents also practiced Falun Gong before, but quit under the pressure of the government. Their health had been getting better and better when they practiced Dafa but now their old illnesses have recurred. Also because Li Miaolian was sent to forced labor, they are in agony.

Lao Dalong (pseudonym), male, 26, is from Huadu District, Guangzhou City. He went to Beijing to appeal in July 1999, and was sent back to Guangzhou and detained in Huadu Police Station. Later, he was monitored at his residence and must report to the police if he leaves Guangzhou. On October 30 1999, on his way to Beijing to appeal, he was found to be a Falun Gong practitioner and sent back to Huadu Police Station. He was detained in Huadu Detention Center for 15 days. During the detention period, he suffered inhuman treatment. His two feet were heavily shackled; he was not allowed to take a shower for 15 days and was forced to smell the toilet. He went back to his hometown for the Spring Festival of the year 2000. On the second day of the new year, he was told to prepare clothes for detention, which caused his family suffer both mentally and physically. On July 21, 2000, his wife's home (Anshun City, Guizhou Province) was ransacked unexpectedly, and personal property and private letters were confiscated. Also, his wife's family members were warned and threatened by the police. He himself was also illegally detained for 5 days.

A practitioner with surname Cheng (the complete name is not known), 58 years old, retired, is from Anshun City. Cheng fully recovered from illnesses after practicing Falun Gong. In April 2000, Cheng went to Beijing to appeal and practiced meditation on Tiananmen Square along with other practitioners. Cheng was viciously beaten and detained in Anshun Detention Center in outskirts of Beijing. At that time he realized that he should go to Beijing again to assist the Fa-rectifying and reveal the truth of Falun Gong. He then jumped off from the second floor. His lumbar vertebrae were broken in half due to the fall and the halves were further broken into halves. After he was sent back to Anshun, he was diagnosed to be crippled and incurable. He requested to leave the hospital right away without taking any injection or drug. He continued to cultivate at home and quickly recovered. However after he recovered, the police of Anshun City held a "transformation class" (to transform the Falun Gong practitioners, holding practitioners in prison for 6 days, about 17 practitioners were detained) and detained him again. Most things sent by his family were withheld. He personally said that when he was jumping off the building, he saw a human shape formed by karma saluting him while leaving him.

Liu Mei (pseudonym), female, 24, singer, is from Guizhou Province. She went to Beijing to appeal in July and October 1999. Her appeal was rejected and she was sent back to her hometown. Her home was ransacked in July 2000 when she was about to give birth to her child. Her property and personal letters were confiscated which made her suffer both physically and mentally.
