According to CNN and some other news sources, in the morning of October 1st, hundreds of Falun Gong practitioners who appealed peacefully for Falun Gong have been kicked, beaten and arrested. Shocked by the news, on Sunday, October 1st, Falun Gong practitioners all over Canada will simultaneously appeal in their respective areas. Toronto practitioners have already been appealing in front of the Consulate General of China since last night. Ottawa practitioners have arrived at the Embassy of China; Montreal practitioners will go to Chinatown to spread appeal letters. We, Falun Gong practitioners in Canada, together with those all over the world, jointly appeal to the Chinese Government to immediately stop the actions of Jiang Zemin and his alike that bring calamity to the country and the people, stop their arrest and persecution of Falun Gong practitioners, reinstate the good reputation of the founder of Falun Gong, return the environment of freely and legally practicing cultivation to numerous peaceful and virtuous Falun Gong practitioners. We, Falun Gong practitioners in Canada will, as always, clarify the truth of Falun Gong to the Chinese Government and the people all over the world with our pure kindness, spare no effort in appealing to all levels of the Canadian Government and international organizations to stop Jiang Zemin from wantonly persecuting Falun Gong, and endeavor to seek a peaceful and just solution to the issue of Falun Gong.
