(Minghui.org) Today’s news from China includes incidents of persecution that took place in 15 cities or counties in 9 provinces, where at least 21 practitioners were recently persecuted for their belief.

1. [Lianyungang City, Jiangsu Province] Case Against Ms. Wang Sumei Submitted to the Procuratorate

Ms. Wang Sumei, over 70, was arrested in 2024 for distributing information materials about Falun Gong and later released on bail. She was summoned to the procuratorate around March 20, 2025, and is now facing prosecution.

Her sister, Ms. Wang Suqin, is currently detained in a detention center, also for her faith in Falun Gong.

2. [Taiyuan ity, Shanxi Province] Ms. Liu Guihua’s Home Ransacked and Daughter Arrested

Ms. Liu Guihua’s home was ransacked on March 20, 2025, by officers from the Haozhuang Police Station and Yingze District Police Department. Her daughter was arrested.

3. [Wuhan City, Hubei Province] Mr. Wang Changzheng Arrested

Mr. Wang Changzhen, 46, from Dongxihu District, was arrested on March 31, 2025, by officers from the Jinyinhu Police Station. His home was ransacked. He was given a 15-day detention.

4. [Dalian City, Liaoning Province] Ms. Liu Shuyan and Ms. Wu Cuihua Arrested

Ms. Liu Shuyan from Pulandian District was recently arrested by officers from the Nanshan Police Station. She is detained in the Dalian City Detention Center. Another practitioner, Ms. Wu Cuihua, is also detained there.

5. [Macheng City, Hubei Province] Ms. Liang Xiaozhu Detained in a Brainwashing Center

Ms. Liang Xiaozhu, 74, was held in a brainwashing center from March 18, 2025, to April 3, 2025.

6. [Beijing] Ms. Fu Xiuqin Persecuted

Ms. Fu Xiuqin is a retired teacher from Shijingshan District. She finished serving a three-year term in March 2025, only to be told that her pension had been suspended. She has no other income and is in financial difficulty.

7. [Longkou City, Shandong Province] Practitioner Xiu Jinhuan Arrested

Xiu Jinhuan, gender unknown, from Fengyi Town, was arrested on March 14, 2025, for talking to people about Falun Gong. The police ransacked Xiu’s home and confiscated Falun Gong books and the photo of the Falun Gong founder. Xiu was released that night.

8. [Langfang City, Hebei Province] Ms. Li Cuixiang Detained

Ms. Li Cuixiang from Sanhe City was arrested in Beijing by several officers from the Yujiawu Police Station in Tongzhou District on February 27, 2025. Her home was ransacked. The police confiscated several amulets and a 10-yuan bill printed with a Falun Gong fact. Ms. Li was detained for 10 days in the Chaoyang District Lockup.

9. [Linyi City, Shandong Province] Ms. Yao Min Arrested

Ms. Yao Min, 55, from Junan County, was arrested at noon on April 3, 2025. She was released the next day.

10. [Harbin City, Heilongjiang Province] Ms. Mei Guangqin Arrested

Ms. Mei Guangqin was arrested at home by officers from the Mulan County Police Department and Harbin City Police Department on April 2, 2025. She is currently detained in Harbin City.

11. [Tonghua City, Jilin Province] Mr. Li Jiapeng and His Wife, Ms. Li Jieping, Arrested

Mr. Li Jiapeng and his wife, Ms. Li Jieping, live in Tiechang Town, Erdaojiang District. They were arrested by officers from the Guosong Town Police Station in Tonghua County on April 3, 2025, for posting information materials about Falun Gong. The couple is currently detained in the Tonghua County Detention Center.

12. [Shenyang City, Liaoning Province] Case Against Ms. Jin Jinglan Submitted to the Procuratorate

Ms. Jin Jinglan, 84, was arrested by officers from the Qianjin Police Station on April 18, 2024, after being reported for talking to people about Falun Gong. She was denied admission to the detention center. She was released on bail after paying a 1,000 yuan bond. She was ordered to go to the Dadong District Procuratorate in January 2025. She refused to go.

13. [Beijing] Three Family Members Sentenced

Ms. Yu Shikun, her daughter Ms. Liu Meili, and her son-in-law Mr. An Chaoxu have been convicted by the Mentougou District Court. Ms. Yu was sentenced to one and a half years in prison and fined 2,000; Ms. Liu was given two years with a 2,000-yuan fine; Mr. An received two years with three years of probation. Mr. An was released on April 3, 2025.

14. [Xianning City, Hubei Province] Ms. Chen Jinxiu Arrested

Ms. Chen Jinxiu was arrested at home on the morning of April 2, 2025. Officers from Jiayu County and Xinjie Town Police Station broke in with a master key and took her away.

15. [Baoji City, Shaanxi Province] Mr. Lin Xiaolong Sentenced to Four Years

Mr. Lin Xiaolong from Linjia Village of Changshou Township, Jintai District, was admitted to the 16th division of Weinan Prison on March 25, 2025, to serve a four-year term.

16. [Dongying City, Shandong Province] Ms. Wang Yanxia Detained

Ms. Wang Yanxia was arrested at home by officers from Binhai City Police Department on the evening of March 25, 2025. She was detained for 10 days.
