(Minghui.org) I am a Falun Dafa practitioner from Poland who has had the privilege of working in the translation efforts for the Polish edition of the Minghui website.
When I first began translating for Minghui, it was not easy. I had little experience in translating, and no attestation, so I had to go through a long learning process. I have been continuously improving my translation skills. I worked diligently to understand the original text better in order to convey the author’s intent accurately, and over the past year my translation quality has improved significantly. I have also started editing my own translations and helping revise other translators’ work to ensure the highest possible quality.
My translation process became more structured after 2024. Instead of placing my Polish translation and the English original side by side in one file and translating line by line, I now translate the entire article into Polish first and then proofread it.
The earlier method was time-consuming and required a lot of effort to complete even a single article. Now, I only refer back to the relevant sections of the original text to ensure accuracy when facing uncertainty. This change has also improved my collaboration with others. I have realized that the quality of the final translation depends not only on teamwork, but also on my personal effort, dedication, and efficiency.
As I started to understand my responsibilities better, and no longer relied on other practitioners for guidance, the entire project worked more smoothly. Our translation expanded its reach and benefited more practitioners.
Last year, as a new team member, I gained a deeper understanding of the Minghui project. I initially treated my translation project as a task. I simply focused on completing translation tasks without fully grasping the deeper value behind the work.
I gradually understood its significance through exposure to different aspects of the project. I realized that the project not only helps fellow practitioners improve, but also documents numerous persecution cases and exposes the various methods of persecution used by the Chinese Communist Party (CCP).
Because of this, I felt the need to encourage other practitioners, and push myself to be more diligent in my cultivation. I understood that every article, in some way reflects my attachments, and indicates areas for improvement. The attitude and dedication I bring to this work ultimately determine the quality of the final translation.

“Falun Dafa is for cultivation practice—it is not a job. All of our volunteer workers must first be genuine cultivators with high-level xinxing, as they are role models for xinxing cultivation. We do not need the types of leaders like those among everyday people.” (“It is not a Job, but Cultivation Practice,” Essentials For Further Advancement)
As I translated more articles, I discovered my attachment to recognition and a sense of pride in my abilities. I have learned to be humble and patient, which has benefited my understanding of the Fa and my daily life. I realized that showing off the projects I participated in or the amount of work I completed showed not only a lack of humility but also an attachment to self. I changed my mindset and understood that as a cultivator I should not seek fame or recognition. When my contributions to the project are acknowledged, I should not take credit for myself, but instead appreciate the hard work of others.
Although I strive to encourage my fellow practitioners to be diligent in their cultivation and fulfill their responsibilities, I have also noticed my attachment to comfort. I also hoped others would help me improve in my own cultivation. There is still much for me to learn when it comes to this project, but I will continue improving myself.

Conclusion
Working for the Minghui project has not only given me the opportunity to continuously improve in my cultivation, but has also taught me how to collaborate with fellow practitioners and truly understand the essence of cultivation. Without other practitioners’ help, I would not have been able to make such progress. I am truly grateful to all practitioners I have worked with!
Articles in which cultivators share their understandings typically reflect an individual's perception at a point in time based on their cultivation state, and they are offered in the spirit of enabling mutual elevation.
