Turmoil Among Practitioners Exposes Our Notions

(Minghui.org) As soon as Master published “Critical Times Reveal One’s Spiritual State”, the turmoil among practitioners who tried to catch the secret agents hidden in media projects ceased. The question here is, why do practitioners need Master to speak up before they come back to their senses and stop disrupting our practice?

Master said,

“No one should be causing unrest within the Dafa community. It amounts to disrupting our practice! Whoever has done that had better make things right! There is little time left!” (“Critical Times Reveal One’s Spiritual State”)

For Master to speak up, the issues must be serious. I felt his tremendous compassion because whoever disrupted the Great Way would face terrible consequences without his protection. He shouldered the mistakes of the practitioners and gave them a chance to make things right.

A few days after Master published the article, the Minghui editorial board published “Notice” to expose the background of the man who played a role in stirring up turmoil in the media. The facts about Yu Ming disclosed by Minghui are far from being heroic as deemed by some practitioners outside of China. Both Yu and the practitioners involved need to wake up and look within. Master said,

“You are in effect doing the evil’s bidding when you allow any selfish motives or thoughts to seep into your mind while doing things at critical times.” (“Critical Times Reveal One’s Spiritual State”)

Please find out what selfish motives and thoughts you have.

I would like to share what I saw regarding the issues of disrupting the practice and my understandings, in the hope that together we practitioners can improve.

Cases of Practitioners in China Giving Speeches to Disrupt the Practice

For a while many practitioners in China were enthusiastic about attending public speeches given by those who said that they wanted to “do something big,” and “help practitioners to better form one body.” They were in fact disrupting the practice. The disrupters traveled from place to place and there were also practitioners who followed them, believing that listening to their speeches would help them quickly improve in cultivation practice.

In Minghui’s article “Notice,” it describes the disrupter as presenting himself among practitioners as a “hero” with a “glorious” image. “He promotes stories of his supposed achievements that came from righteous thoughts and righteous actions.” The disrupters desired to be worshiped, which was driven by their demonic interference from their own minds, and attachments to showing off and being different. Those who liked to listen to the disrupters were looking for shortcuts in cultivation and feeding their curiosity, while treating Dafa like an earthly discipline.

To stop the disrupters, the Minghui editorial board published “Giving Speeches Amounts to Disrupting the Fa” in 2013, and such activities had since disappeared. Unfortunately many practitioners who participated in the speeches didn’t think they disrupted the practice, but helped practitioners to improve and work together. Even more felt that Minghui misunderstood their good intentions, and that they were wronged. They refused to acknowledge the severity of their actions. These practitioners allowed demons to take shelter in their hearts. They are likely to become victims in the next episode of disrupting the practice.

Most of the practitioners who one way or another participated in these speeches did not believe what they did was as bad as Minghui claimed, and quickly forgot about it instead of searching within. The evil forces are not as forgiving, and would use the mistakes as an excuse to persecute them. Many of the speech-givers later suffered various tribulations.

Practitioners must learn these lessons and thoroughly eliminate the factors that caused them to participate in these speeches, and take actions to make things right.

Respecting and Valuing Minghui

Disruptive events often happen in areas where the local practitioners do not value and respect Minghui. Master has repeatedly stressed the importance of Minghui, however these practitioners had such strong opinions that prevented them from valuing the website. Some of these practitioners were highly educated practitioners outside of China who were arrogant and self-centered. They said that they don’t visit Minghui because most of the authors did not receive a good education and their cultivation levels were low. They also spent a lot of time browsing and reading articles online that they had no time to read Minghui articles.

There are also those who liked to share their opinions in various chat groups instead of Minghui because articles submitted to Minghui might not be published. The strict quality control of Minghui articles is Master protecting us. We don’t always see how our attachments and understandings were not in line with the Fa when we write articles to share our thoughts. Submitting articles to Minghui should aim to help other practitioners improve or save more people, not to validate our own viewpoints.

In retrospect, the articles I submitted to Minghui that were rejected often contained viewpoints that were incorrect, deviated from the Fa, too extreme, contained communist ideas, or praised another school of practice. I did not notice them until after Minghui turned down my articles. There is always a reason that Minghui does not publish our articles, and we just need to enlighten to it.

We have to look at Minghui from a cultivator’s perspective. Minghui is an extension of Master’s arm that pulls up toward the righteous path in our journey of cultivation. When there is a major issue in the practice or among the practitioners, we should see what Minghui has to say, not some “hero” in a chat group or media commentators. If we truly valued Minghui, there might not have been as many disruptive events. I suggest that we visit it everyday and cleanse ourselves.

The Evil Wants Division Among Practitioners

Master and Minghui never instructed us to catch the secret agents hidden among us. It is not feasible; some practitioner could act like an agent because of the influence of the CCP culture, while a well-trained agent could act like a diligent practitioner. Such a search for agents would create an in-fighting environment and cause loss to Dafa’s initiatives.

An agent can exist in a group of practitioners because the majority of them had hidden attachments that they were unaware of or refused to acknowledge for too long. This cultivation environment provides a safe place for the agent to stay. If we had strong righteous thoughts, our compassion and righteous energy would dissolve the evil factorss behind him, and he would either be too scared to stay, or become a practitioner.

Let us remember what Master said,

“We are at a significant historical moment in the end times, when the Way is renewing creation and redemption is being offered to humankind. So no matter what issues arise, all the more so should you approach things with a spiritual frame of mind; put Dafa before other things; and keep at the forefront of your mind, and make a singular focus of, safeguarding Dafa practitioners’ initiatives and ensuring that they achieve the success that they should in saving lives.” (“Critical Times Reveal One’s Spiritual State”)
