(Minghui.org) Today’s news from China includes incidents of persecution that took place in 8 cities or counties in 5 provinces, where at least 19 practitioners were recently persecuted for their belief.

9. [Tianjin] Ms. Liu Shuling Admitted to Tianjin Women’s Prison
1. [Daqing City, Heilongjiang Province] Nine Practitioners Tortured in Prison
Ms. Li Dongju from Shaertu District was arrested on July 12, 2022, and on December 4, 2022 was sentenced to five and a half years in prison by the Development Zone Court. She was taken to the Heilongjiang Province Women’s Prison in April 2023, and detained in the eighth division. With only thin clothes on, she was forced to sit on a small stool with an uneven surface from 4 a.m. to midnight in a room where the window was open. The guards also forbade her from washing herself and did not provide her with toilet paper. The inmates assigned to monitor her beat and verbally abused her at will. A convicted murderer, Shao Xiuping, beat her so hard that her right ear was deafened.
Several other practitioners in the eighth division were also tortured. Ms. Wang Lihua was so terrified that she didn’t dare to raise her head or talk. Ms. Ma Shuhua and Ms. Sun Shuyun developed severe physical conditions and were released on medical parole. Ms. Xu Ying was also forced to sit on a small stool every day for over a month. Ms. Xu, Ms. Bao Guiqin, Ms. Zhang Xia, and Ms. Zhu Xiaoqing were often beaten by the inmates. Ms. Chang Ping was forced to take psychiatric drugs, even though she had no mental illness.
2. [Tangshan City, Hebei Province] Three Practitioners Detained
Ms. Zhang Mingfeng, in her 70s, and two other practitioners, a male and a female, were arrested at a community fair before the 2025 Chinese New Year, and each placed under 15-day detention. While the other two practitioners have been released, Ms. Zhang is still detained.
3. [Changchun City, Jilin Province] Ms. Mu Hua Sentenced to Four Years in Prison
Ms. Mu Hua was secretly sentenced to four years in prison. Her family were kept in the dark about her prosecution process.
4. [Huangmei County, Hubei Province] Fu Jiuliang Sentenced to Six Months in Prison
Fu Jiuliang, gender unknown, was sentenced to six months on February 7, 2025, and has been released.
5. [Tianjin] Ms. Feng Shuyuan Arrested
Ms. Feng Shuyuan from Binhai New District was arrested by officers from the Hujiayuan Street Police Station on the morning of June 10, 2024, after being reported to police for talking to people about Falun Gong. Her home was ransacked, and the police confiscated her Falun Gong books, computer, and printer. She was detained in the Tanggu Detention Center.
6. [Harbin City, Heilongjiang Province] Mr. Tong Mingyu Facing Trial
Mr. Tong Mingyu was arrested on November 20, 2024. He was transferred to the Shuangcheng District Detention Center on February 1, 2025, and was scheduled to stand trial in the Daoli District Court on February 13, 2025.
7. [Beijing] Ms. Zhu Ying Tried in Court
Ms. Zhu Ying was tried by the Chengde Court on the morning of February 10, 2025. The prosecutor suggested a sentence of two years in prison.
8. [Pengzhou City, Sichuan Province] Ms. Yang Dingyu’s Home Ransacked
Three officers from the Mengyang Town Police Station went to Ms. Yang Dingyu’s home in Baozhuo Village on the morning of February 5, 2025. They searched her home and confiscated Falun Gong books and a photo of Falun Gong’s founder. They also placed the photo of Falun Gong’s founder near her and took a photo of her.
9. [Tianjin] Ms. Liu Shuling Admitted to Tianjin Women’s Prison
Ms. Liu Shuling, 74, was sentenced to one year in prison on December 26, 2023. As she failed the required physical examination for prison admission, she was released on bail. The police arrested her at home on December 16, 2024, and took her to the detention center. The Minghui.org website recently confirmed that she had been admitted to the Tianjin Woman’s Prison to serve the one-year term.
