(Minghui.org) In 2001, Master Li bestowed upon Dafa disciples two mantras for sending righteous thoughts granting his disciples the ability and permission to use and display their supernatural powers to eliminate evil and safeguard the Fa.

The mantras allow us to control our supernatural powers:

“The Fa (Fa) rectifies (zheng) the Cosmos (qian kun); the Evil (xie e) is completely (quan) eliminated (mie),”“The Fa (Fa) rectifies (zheng) Heaven (tian) and Earth (di); immediate (xian) retribution (bao) in this lifetime (xian shi).”(The Two Hand Positions for Sending Forth Righteous Thoughts)

I recently read an article on Minghui in which the author said he had never used the second mantra but he recently decided to use it.

Master has never said when to use each mantra or put any restrictions on using the two formulas, which means we can use them at will whenever necessary.

It is God’s mercy to let those who do evil to Master, Dafa, or Dafa disciples experience retribution in this life. It shows mercy to the evildoers and all sentient beings.

When an evildoer receives the retribution he deserves, he will realize that it is the result of his evil deeds. Whether he feels fear or repentance, it will prevent him from going further down an evil path, and make him commit fewer crimes and avoid being annihilated in the end.

When those who do evil do less evil or no evil at all, or even change from being evil to being good, there will be less persecution and interference for Dafa disciples and more chances for all sentient beings of being saved. Isn’t this God’s great compassion?

Of course, when we use a mantra, no matter which one, it is kind and peaceful, and is a display of the majesty and virtue of Dafa. No matter when we use it, it is a display of compassion. As for those who do it with strong resentment or for revenge, that is not righteous thinking and will not have any effect.

In addition, during a large group discussion of practitioners in North America, the consensus was that we should give those who participated in the recent evil attacks on Shen Yun a chance, and be kind on the surface.

Giving or not giving opportunities is up to Master Li, and there are Fa standards. This ordeal is occurring at the end of the end time, and is a critical test that determines whether a life is eliminated or preserved, and whether a cultivator succeeds or fails. When the evildoers decided to target Master, should they have the opportunity to be saved and have a future?

The moment the CCP decided to persecute Falun Dafa, the divine beings determined that it would be annihilated and lose its future; in the same way that when Judas agreed to betray Jesus and accept the silver coin, he had already chosen his fate. The greatest mercy we can show evildoers is to let the retribution be swift.

This is my understanding at my level. Please kindly point out anything that is not in line with the Fa.
