Dafa Gave My Mother a Second Life

(Minghui.org) My mother began to have health problems in the spring of 2024. She lost her appetite in May and lost more than 40 pounds in a matter of three months. Then, she had severe diarrhea, as many as five or six times a day. She was diagnosed with advanced bile duct cancer in September. She was not told of the cancer for fear that she might not be able to bear it mentally. She also suffered from liver and stomach problems, as well as fluid accumulation in her abdomen. Her whole body was yellowish. She was unable to walk and had difficulty sitting up.

She had surgery in the hospital for a biliary drainage. Although the jaundice problem was gone, she still had a tumor. Due to her age and the tumor location, surgery was not recommended. So she was discharged.

My mother then went to a good traditional Chinese medicine hospital. The doctor there also said that the surgery could not be done, and refused to give her Chinese medicine because of her poor liver function.

Two days after the hospital visit, my mother started vomiting. On one occasion, she vomited a large amount of blood. We immediately took her to the emergency room, and she was hospitalized for three days. The doctor said that my mother only had two or three months left to live and no more treatments could help. The doctor thus discharged her and said we could feed her whatever she liked.

Three days later, my mother started to vomit everything she ate. So she took albumin injections and IV fluid injections at a clinic. The doctor said that my mother would have to be injected with three bottles of fluid everyday. Because of the injections, her blood vessels hardened.

My mother had no health insurance. We had to pay for her medical expenses. The medical cost was very high, putting us in a bad financial situation. We were about to run out of money and did not know what to do. My dad and I often cried.

My mother’s health got worse everyday. At a time when she lost hope, my aunt brought her a tape recording of the Falun Dafa lectures. At first my mother was unwilling to listen. After discussions about the health benefits of Falun Dafa, she agreed to give it a try.

Once my mother started to listen to the lecture, she did not want to stop. She even listened to it when she woke up in the middle of the night. She threw away all of her medicine, and a miracle happened. She felt better everyday and could eat and drink without vomiting.

In November, my mother went to the hospital to have one of the tubes removed. The doctor was surprised that her condition had improved instead of worsening.

Master and Dafa saved my mother’s life. My mother is grateful to Master from the bottom of her heart.
