(Minghui.org) Falun Dafa practitioners held activities in Montreal on September 2, 2024, to tell people about the Chinese Communist Party’s (CCP) persecution of this mind-body cultivation practice. Many locals voiced their support and stepped up to sign a petition calling for an end to the suppression in China.
Practitioners called for an end to the CCP’s persecution of Falun Dafa during an event on Sainte-Catherine Street in Montreal.

Practitioners held banners with the words, “Falun Dafa Is Good” and, “Stop Persecuting Falun Dafa” in front of Concordia University. They also displayed truth-clarification poster boards which exposed the CCP’s forced live organ harvesting of prisoners of conscience. The Tian Guo Marching Band performed music, alternating with practitioners demonstrating the five set of Falun Dafa exercises.
The activity drew the attention of many people, and many signed the petition calling to end the persecution.

Michael Grannum said he was shocked when he learned that Chinese people were jailed for practicing Falun Dafa. He said, after reading the display boards, “These people are being persecuted for their belief. The perpetrators are also lying to cover up what they did. They must be stopped.”
Arola and his parents from Saskatchewan Province signed the petition. He said, “People think that China is developing very well. However, they don’t know that things like this are happening in China—this is truly outrageous. Falun Dafa practitioners are justified in exposing the CCP’s crimes. Please keep doing this.” He thanked practitioners for their efforts to expose the persecution.
Rodrigue told practitioners, “My heart is with you.”
Local resident Rodrigue told practitioners, “I’m a Christian and many years ago the Christians also went through a great persecution. The CCP is using their methods to ruin practitioners and spread communism in the world. They will not win. My heart is with you. I support Falun Dafa practitioners.”
