(Minghui.org) Because people can visit without a visa, Jeju Island is an especially popular destination for Chinese tourists. Falun Gong (also known as Falun Dafa) practitioners display signs and hold events at the places on the island Chinese tourists frequent, including duty-free shops and the airport, to tell them the facts about the persecution.
During the COVID pandemic, tourists stopped coming to Jeju Island, but as of 2024, the number of visitors has nearly returned to pre-pandemic figures. Every day, thousands of tourists come to the island by plane or on cruise ships. Most of them are from China.

Chinese Tourists Pay Attention to the Facts about the Persecution
Most tourists from China are shocked to read about the persecution of Falun Gong in China. Many people take photos of the banners and display boards.
Some have said they thought that, as the Chinese Communist Party (CCP)-controlled media reported, Falun Gong had long been eradicated. Now, when they realize that Falun Gong is popularly practiced in Korea and in over 100 countries worldwide, they are surprised and amazed.
Some tourists nodded in agreement after learning that the Tiananmen Square self-immolation incident was staged by the CCP to vilify Falun Gong. When they learned of the organ harvesting, many said they were shocked while others expressed anger at the heinous crime.
Tourists Thank Practitioners for Telling Them the Facts
When practitioners approach tourists from China who stop to read the display boards, most listen quietly or ask questions. Practitioners often remind them that these photos and information cannot be seen in China and they should take the opportunity to read and understand the truth before they return to China.
Those who listen to practitioners explain the facts and learn the truth usually give them a thumbs up to express their thanks and respect. Many tourists renounce their CCP memberships and thank practitioners.
Tourists Shocked to Learn the U.S. Passed a Falun Gong Protection Act
The U.S. House of Representatives unanimously passed H.R.4132, the Falun Gong Protection Act, on June 25, 2024. Many Chinese tourists were shocked to hear that those involved in the persecution of Falun Gong will not be allowed to enter the U.S., their assets will be frozen, and they will be sanctioned. This piece of news will spread in China through Chinese tourists and act as a warning to anyone involved in the persecution of Falun Gong.
As early as February 4, 2002, the U.K. Parliament debated the Human Tissue Act 2004. Through the efforts of Lord Philip Hunt of Kings Heath, a new law, the Health and Care Bill, came into effect in the U.K. at the end of April 2022. The law prohibits British citizens and nationals from engaging in organ tourism that “involves either forced organ harvesting or black market organ trafficking.”
In the United States, H.R.4132, the Falun Gong Protection Act, was introduced by Scott Perry in 2023. The bill is the first legislation in which the U.S Congress has made a binding commitment to take strong legal action against the persecution and live organ harvesting of Falun Gong practitioners, making them the focus of the legislation.
