(Minghui.org) The Minghui website recently received additional information about the ongoing abuse of a Jiamusi City, Heilongjiang Province resident who is serving time for her faith in Falun Gong, a mind-body practice that has been persecuted by the Chinese Communist Party since July 1999.
Ms. Liu Jinping, 43, was arrested at home on May 14, 2021. She stood trial in the Xiangyang District Court on December 31, 2021, and was sentenced to 3.5 years and fined 15,000 yuan on January 6, 2022. The Jiamusi City Intermediate Court denied her appeal around mid-April 2022, and she was admitted to the Heilongjiang Province Women’s Prison (located in the capital city of Harbin, more than 200 miles from Jiamusi) in June 2022. Ms. Liu has since been held in the Strict Management Division, where Falun Gong practitioners are subjected to various forms of abuse to force them to renounce their faith.
The newly received information indicates that each practitioner in the prison is monitored by several inmates around the clock, even when they use the restroom. They are only allowed to urinate during the day and can only have bowel movements between 10 p.m. and 4 a.m. As a result, many practitioners have soiled their pants. They are also not allowed to get near each other, so there is no sharing of information among them, including the torture they have gone through.
Minghui.org previously reported that Ms. Liu was brutally tortured in Team Five of the Strict Management Division and not allowed to use the restroom. She became incontinent six months after she was admitted to prison.
The prison later moved Ms. Liu around to different teams. According to the latest information, she faced continued abuse while being held in Team Six of the Strict Management Division, where inmates Han Li and Chen Tianjing were tasked with monitoring and abusing her. They forced her to sit on a small stool motionless for long periods of time. As soon as she tilted her head or leaned forward, they showered her with fists and punches while verbally insulting her.
Ms. Liu went on a hunger strike in protest and Han forced her to hold a steamed bun in her hand while sitting on the small stool. On the fourth day of Ms. Liu’s hunger strike, Han kicked her to the ground and stomped on her head. After failing to force-feed her with rice congee, Han poured an entire bowl of congee onto her face.
Ms. Liu’s buttocks developed sores and bled after long-term sitting on the small stool. Once, Han kicked her off the stool again, causing her wounds to bleed. Despite her condition, Han still forced Ms. Liu to sit on the stool.
When Ms. Liu had to use the restroom, she struggled to pull down her underwear as it had stuck to the open sores on her buttocks. Han yelled at her to hurry up and threatened to yank off her underwear. Such threats were commonplace. There was another practitioner, also forced to sit on the small stool for long hours, who had the flesh ripped off her buttocks when another guard forcibly pulled down her underwear.
During the pandemic, Ms. Liu refused to get COVID-19 vaccines. Han pulled her by the collar to the prison hospital, with Chen kicking her from behind all the way there.
Ms. Liu was later moved back to Team Five, where she was again forced to sit on a small stool for long periods of time. The inmates monitoring her also did not allow her to sleep for several consecutive days and nights. She has become extremely weak and emaciated.
