(Minghui.org) “The march was a pleasant surprise, like a breath of beautiful fresh air,” said Elizabeth, who studies psychology, after watching the Falun Dafa march in Sydney. She was grateful for the information about cultivation.

Falun Dafa (also known as Falun Gong) practitioners held a march in the center of Sydney on October 25, 2024 to introduce the spiritual practice and raise awareness about the Chinese Communist Party’s (CCP) persecution of this peaceful group. The march, which stretched for hundreds of meters, passed through the bustling business district. Because it was lunchtime for office workers, many people stopped and watched.

A media person said that he was deeply impressed by the Tian Guo Marching Band and that he supported practitioners in their efforts to protest the persecution. Two medical staff from Queensland were grateful for the information the march conveyed, and said the march brought people from the community together and allowed more people to learn about the issue. A government worker from New Zealand said he was happy to see the march held in Sydney’s central business district, and that the CCP’s persecution was obviously wrong.

Falun Gong practitioners practiced the exercises in the Martin Place in Sydney on the morning of October 25, 2024.

Peaceful Group Is Impressive

Elizabeth, a psychology student in a university, was impressed by the size of the march and how quiet and peaceful the practitioners were. When she found out about the CCP’s forced organ harvesting happening to Falun Dafa practitioners in China, she said, “I don’t doubt it, sadly, but it’s hard to imagine. Not something that’s easy to imagine, living and growing up here in Australia.”

Lalita said, “The march is wonderful. I like the principles of Truthfulness, Compassion, and Forbearance, which can be applied to family, work and other locations,”

Lalita likes the values of Truthfulness, Compassion, and Forbearance she learned from the march.

Chloe, who works at the Queensland Ambulance Service, and Jeanette, a radiologist, watched the parade and were impressed by practitioners’ efforts to raise awareness of the persecution.

Chloe said, “The march is a beautiful display. It made everyone come together as well. Watching the community come together to rally for people to learn. Especially in Sydney, it’s a very busy place and a lot of people are stopping to look at this. I love that you are all part of a group, and you all stand for the same thing.”

Jeanette expressed similar feelings, “The parade is a stunning spectacle. It’s commendable that you’re drawing attention to such a critical issue, especially with the loss of so many lives. There’s so much we’re unaware of here, that’s occurring over there (China). So it’s enlightening to learn more. Thank you for today. It is great.”

Miles Abell, who works at a renowned law firm, was deeply drawn by the march that day. He said it was stunning and he never saw such a spectacular march.

The words of Truthfulness, Compassion, and Forbearance displayed on the banner made him feel a positive force, “These concepts are very important.”

Abell previously heard about the CCP’s persecution of Falun Gong, and said, “I believe that everyone should have the freedom of belief.” He also said that he felt immersed in peaceful energy while watching the march.

From Pessimistic to Optimistic

Huang Min'an, a high school student in Grade 10, traveled from Melbourne to participate in the parade that day as well as the annual cultivation experience-sharing conference and other activities that weekend. She said, “I came to know about Falun Gong in 2019 and about a year ago I officially started practicing.

“This conference, I believe, is a chance for fellow practitioners to come together to share and learn from each other. Participating in these gatherings has been very beneficial for me because I get to hear what others have learned in their cultivation and study of the teachings,” she said.

“The atmosphere here, I am finding, is very lively, with everyone showing great enthusiasm to raise awareness about the practice.”

After practicing for a year, she felt that her body and mind underwent tremendous changes, “Since starting this practice, I’ve felt improvements in my health and spirit. Prior to this I often felt unlucky and without a supportive family, despite both of my parents being around. Now, however, I think more positively and realize it might be due to fate or past family issues. I’ve come to see these challenges as tests of my character.”
