(Minghui.org) Practitioners from Brest, Vannes, Vendée, La Baule, and Nantes gathered at the Royal Square in the center of Nantes on Saturday, August 10, 2024, to introduce Falun Dafa and expose the persecution of practitioners by the Chinese Communist Party (CCP).

They set up a booth in front of the Royal Square in central Nantes. Residents and tourists saw the banners and posters and came to learn more. After learning about the persecution, many expressed their support for Falun Dafa and signed the petition to end the persecution.

“Please Continue Exposing the Persecution”

Isabelle, a retired nurse, was shocked to learn that some doctors in China were involved in killing practitioners to harvest their organs. She said, “I dedicated my life to caring for patients and alleviating their suffering, but these people are taking lives. These individuals are not worthy of being called doctors; they are criminals.”

Isabelle continued, “How could doctors engage in such acts? This cruelty is appalling, and what I’ve learned today is a horror of our times. These people are no longer human but are criminals who should be punished and imprisoned for their atrocities. The CCP must be held accountable for these abominable crimes.”

She signed the petition to “Stop Forced Organ Harvesting of Chinese Prisoners of Conscience” and added, “Thank you for your efforts; please continue exposing the persecution. The whole world should know about this.”

Eric, who received a pancreas transplant in Nantes fifteen years ago, initially misunderstood the display as promoting organ donation, which he thought was a good thing since he benefited from it. However, when he was told about the forced organ harvesting, he was horrified: “How could doctors commit such acts? Harvesting organs from Falun Dafa practitioners is an abominable crime. We must let everyone know and absolutely avoid undergoing organ transplant surgeries in China. Thank you for telling me this today; I want to sign this petition.”

A former diplomat talked with a practitioner for a long time. He said that he collaborated with several heads of state and was shocked by the issue of organ trafficking faced by Falun Dafa practitioners. He said he would continue monitoring and investigating the situation.

A young man from India, who had been in France for just three months, was very interested in learning about the practice and took several flyers. He said he would visit the website falundafa.org for more information.

A woman came directly to sign the petition and said, “I sign the petition every year.” She also asked about local practice sites near her home.

A man described organ harvesting as a severe breach of medical ethics, calling it “a war against humanity.” He praised Falun Dafa for improving and maintaining people’s health.

A young woman was shocked to find that people who adhere to the principles of Truthfulness-Compassion-Forbearance are being persecuted by the CCP. She signed the petition and took informational materials, and said she was interested in learning the practice.

Information Day at Place de Bastille Receives Public Support

Practitioners held an Information Day event at Place de Bastille, on August 11, where they introduced the practice to the public and collected signatures to end the persecution.

Place de Bastille, a major tourist attraction in Paris, was bustling with visitors on this day, which marks the closing of the 2024 Paris Olympics. Many tourists took photos as practitioners did the exercises and took the informational materials. People were shocked and outraged by the CCP’s brutal persecution, and some said they were interested in learning the practice.

Marie, a professional relaxation therapist, was drawn to Falun Dafa for its approach in connecting the mind and body to achieve inner harmony, and said, “The CCP’s ban on Falun Dafa in China is absolutely unacceptable. These practitioners are seeking a form of inner freedom, which is completely intolerable to an authoritarian regime.” She continued, “Such a ban is unreasonable and contradicts the fundamental principles of freedom.”

Thomas, a Spanish military officer involved in the Olympics, said, “The CCP, at its core, represents communism, which is the root of many global problems because communism denies individual freedom, one of humanity’s most important rights.”

Duhamel, a physical education teacher who was in Paris to participate in a race and had just run the Paris 10K the previous day, said that he didn’t know much about Falun Dafa. However, the French media reported the widespread persecution faced by those seeking a freedom in China.

He said, “What you are doing here takes great courage.” Duhamel continued, “Fortunately, in France, we have freedom of speech, and our country highly values this right. We understand people in China and all ‘dictatorial countries’ who cannot enjoy this right. In France, we will do our best to support them. We must support the freedom of all nations so that they can live freely, express their thoughts, and live according to their wishes.” He encouraged Falun Gong practitioners to persevere.
