(Minghui.org) Greetings Master and fellow practitioners!
My name is Ellie, and my Chinese name is Shanyu Guo. I am eight years old and a third grade student at the Minghui School. Both my father and mother are Falun Dafa practitioners, and my younger sister and I have been practicing Dafa since we were little kids. I am very fortunate. Below, I would like to share my cultivation experiences from this year.
We have an hour of Fa study time at school every day. Every time during Fa study, I read diligently and discuss many questions with the teacher. Through Fa study, I have come to understand that in cultivation, we must have our own wish to cultivate, not doing it for our parents or teachers. Only then is it true cultivation.
Dafa teaches us how to do things well. If we can follow Dafa’s requirements, then we are truly in charge of ourselves, and that’s good. But, if you knew what should be done, but still didn’t, then it means attachments were in control. Fa study has helped me understand many things, I enjoy it even more than before. Now I would also listen to Master’s lectures at home.
I have a very strong competitive mentality, and this past year I have been trying hard to overcome it. At school, I have made significant progress and have become much friendlier with my classmates. However, at home, I still struggle. I constantly argue and fight with my younger sister, which drives my parents crazy given the noise. I am trying to eliminate this mentality. I aim to follow Master’s teaching that “...as a practitioner one should not fight back when being punched or insulted, ...” (Lecture Four, Zhuan Falun) This is very difficult for me, but I believe I can do it in the long run.
Every day, I notice my laziness and am trying hard to eliminate it. While I do my Dafa exercises at school, I don’t do them at home. There is homework every day, and sometimes when I can’t finish it at school, I am reluctant to do it at home. This is a sign of laziness. As a young practitioner, I should diligently complete my homework, as it reflects my character.
I also want to talk about my exercise practice. Every Friday at school, we meditate for one hour. Around 40 minutes into it, my body starts to ache. However, Master says, “When it’s difficult to endure, you can endure it. When it’s impossible to do, you can do it.” (Lecture Nine, Zhuan Falun). I also want to achieve this.
I will persist in meditating with my eyes closed. When my xinxing is good, I meditate very well. But when my xinxing is not good, I can’t meditate well.
That’s all of my sharing for today.
Thank you, Master!Thank you, everyone.
