1. [Lianyungang City, Jiangsu Province] Mr. Xu Fangquan Imprisoned
Mr. Xu Fangquan, 56, is a resident of Jinan City, Shandong Province. He was arrested in Lianyungang, Jiangsu Province in January 2022 when he visited his daughter. The Haizhou District Court in Lianyungang sentenced him to two-and-a-half-years in prison on August 18, 2023. He appealed to the Lianyungang Intermediate Court. He is incarcerated in the Yancheng Prison in Jiangsu Province. The guards have deprived him of family visits or phone calls.
2. [Huanggang City, Hubei Province] Ms. Xiong Xiulian Faces Indictment
Ms. Xiong Xiulian of Huangzhou District was arrested on the street by officers from the Huangzhou District Domestic Security Division on December 14, 2023. She was held in a detention center for more than a month before she was released on bail. The police submitted her case to the Wuxue City Procuratorate.
3. [Anlu City, Hubei Province] Mr. Fan Jinhe Finished Prison Term
Mr. Fan Jinhe was released on March 25, 2024 after he was incarcerated for 14 months in the Fanjiatai Prison in Shayang County.
