Ms. Shen Yanru from Xinji was arrested on the afternoon of November 21, 2023 and was taken to the Qinhuangdao City Detention Center.
Ms. Liu Chunxia may face a six-year prison term. The items confiscated from her home include 400 paper bills imprinted with Falun Gong facts, over 1,000 stickers (with information about Falun Gong), several booklets and one book.
Ms. Jin Hong was sentenced to four years in prison and has been detained in the No. 2 Woman’s Prison of Liaoning Province since March 18, 2021. She will be released on December 3, 2023.
Ms. Hu Jing was arrested by officers from the Dengfeng Police Station on November 10, 2023 for distributing information about Falun Gong. Her home was ransacked. She was released on bail pending trial.
Mr. Meng Fanzeng was released on bail pending trial for eighteen months before he was tried in the Gaoxin District Court on November 13, 2023. The verdict has not yet been announced. He was arrested on November 20, 2023.
Ms. Qu Wenying, nearly 70, was arrested at home by several plainclothes officers from the South Street Police Station in Zhifu District on the afternoon of November 1, 2023. Her arms were handcuffed behind her back. The police ransacked her home and confiscated all her Falun Gong books. Ms. Qu is currently held in the Fushan Detention Center and her family is not allowed to visit her.
