(Minghui.org) Today's news from China includes incidents of persecution that took place in 8 cities or counties in 6 provinces, where at least 19 practitioners were recently persecuted for their belief.
1. [Anlu City, Hubei Province] Ms. Kong Jiuhong Holds Hunger Strike

5. [Shulan City, Jilin Province] Seven Practitioners Tried in Court or Face Trial
6. [Maoming City, Guangdong Province] The Case Against Ms. Liao Yuying Submitted to the Court
7. [Shanghai] Ms. Lin Qiupeng and Ms. Cai Yufang Placed Under Surveillance
8. [Mianyang City, Sichuan Province] Ms. Qu Rongshu Harassed
1. [Anlu City, Hubei Province] Ms. Kong Jiuhong Holds Hunger Strike
Ms. Kong Jiuhong was taken to the Anlu Brainwashing Center in Bofan Town on October 24, 2023 and has been detained there since. She went on a hunger strike and her life is in danger. Two other practitioners Ms. Shi Liying and Ms. Wu are also detained in the brainwashing center.
2. [Huaihua City, Hunan Province] Mr. Quan Jixiang Arrested
Mr. Quan Jixiang, 44, from Yuanling County, was arrested by officers in Yuanling County at the end of August 2023 or early September 2023. His whereabouts are unknown.
3. [Changchun City, Jilin Province] Ms. Ma Shurong Arrested
Ms. Ma Shurong’s home was ransacked by officers from the Wanshun Police Station around 6 p.m. on November 4, 2023. A set of Falun Gong books and the photo of Falun Gong’s founder were confiscated. Ms. Ma was at her relative’s home in Jilin City at that time. The officers pressured her son to take them to the relative’s home, and they arrested Ms. Ma. Her son and daughter-in-law were also taken to the police station. They were released at midnight. Ms. Ma is still detained.
4. [Kaiyuan City, Liaoning Province] Three Practitioners Persecuted
Several officers from the Kaiyuan City Police Department went to Xiafeidi Township on November 3, 2023. They took Ms. Su Changqin, Ms. Liu Li, Ms. Yang Yukun and Ms. Liu Li’s son Mr. Zhang Yiming (non-practitioner) to the Changtu County Procuratorate to go through the bail pending trial procedure. During the process, Ms. Su Changqin, 76, suffered from severe dizziness and vomiting; Ms. Liu Li suffered from convulsions and lost consciousness.
5. [Shulan City, Jilin Province] Seven Practitioners Tried in Court or Face Trial
Ms. Jiang Yanping and Ms. Zhao Changyan were tried in the Shulan City Court on October 26, 2023.
Five other practitioners, Ms. Cheng Shufang, Mr. Zhu Jifa, Ms. Wang Jie, Ms. Li Yajie and Ms. Liu Minjie, will soon be tried in court. Ms. Liu Minjie was under residential surveillance and the other four practitioners are currently held in the detention center.
6. [Maoming City, Guangdong Province] The Case Against Ms. Liao Yuying Submitted to the Court
It was learned on October 25, 2023 that the case against Ms. Liao Yuying from the Dianbai District was submitted to the Maonan District Court by the Maonan District Procuratorate. Ms. Liao has been placed under residential surveillance for six months since August 25, 2023.
7. [Shanghai] Ms. Lin Qiupeng and Ms. Cai Yufang Placed Under Surveillance
Ms. Lin Qiupeng and Ms. Cai Yufang were placed under 24-hour surveillance from October 31 to November 8, 2023. The Games for the Disabled at the Shanghai International Import Expo were held during this period.
8. [Mianyang City, Sichuan Province] Ms. Qu Rongshu Harassed
Ms. Qu Rongshu has been harassed by local community staff members since she was released from prison. Because she wrote a letter to the community office, four officers from the Gongqu Police Station in Fucheng District and one staff community member went to her home on October 17, 2023. They searched her home and took photographs everywhere. She was taken to the police station and was interrogated.
