(Minghui.org) A teacher directed nearly 20 police officers to the residence of 47-year-old Ms. Peng Jizhen, who was arrested at 8 p.m. on May 5, 2022. It turned out the teacher found out Ms. Peng’s address by deceiving her son into believing she was planning a home visit.
Ms. Peng, a native of Mingshanxiang Town, Hubei Province, moved to Jinniu Town in Daye City in the same province in September 2020, because her son was attending high school there. For the past two years, the authorities in Daye had been trying to arrest her for practicing Falun Gong, a spiritual discipline that has been persecuted by the Chinese communist regime since 1999.
The police later found out that Ms. Peng’s son was attending the Jinniu No.2 High School and they ordered his teacher to get her address, which resulted in Ms. Peng’s latest arrest.
Ms. Peng is being held in a brainwashing center, but the authorities have denied family visits and refused to reveal the address of the facility. According to an insider, Ms. Peng has been on a hunger strike for weeks to protest the persecution. She became extremely weak and has been taken to the hospital.
Prior to her latest arrest, Ms. Peng served a forced labor camp term in 2002. On July 17, 2020, just two months before she moved to Jinniu Town, the authorities harassed her at home and tore up the couplets she put up on the door five years ago, which read, “Hearts are purified as this world needs Truthfulness-Compassion-Forbearance. The world is renewed as Falun Dafa brings harmony to heaven, earth, and mankind."
