(Minghui.org) Since the Chinese Communist Party (CCP) took power in 1949, man-made tragedies have never ceased to exist in China. One example was the chaos caused by the recent month-long lockdown of Xi’an, a city of 13 million, starting from December 22, 2021. Below are just a few examples.
Because of an expired PCR result, an 8-month-pregnant woman was denied admission to a local hospital and she miscarried as a result. A father suffering a heart attack was initially denied admission by a hospital because he didn’t have a PCR test. After his family’s repeated requests, the hospital eventually admitted him, seven and half hours after he was brought to the hospital. The delayed care eventually claimed his life. When a tall residential building was on fire, firefighters had to scale the wall to get in since the building entrance had been tightly sealed with wire by neighborhood administrators. When starving people went out for food, they were either beaten by the epidemic prevention crew or forced by them to read public self-criticism statements.
Although the CCP has been boasting about zero COVID deaths since January 26, 2021, the above-mentioned cases have shocked the general public: What caused hospitals or people to be so cold-hearted and harm others recklessly?
Wang Xin (pseudonym), daughter of the man who died of a heart attack, was also confused. The hospital security said he was doing his job [to stop people who didn’t have PCR test results from entering the hospital), the nurse [who treated my father] said she was following procedure, and the doctors said they had received instructions on how to handle various situations,” she wrote, “From the epidemic prevention aspect, no one did anything wrong. So, whose fault is it then?”
By taking one step back and examining the situation as a whole, one would find the root cause is the CCP’s totalitarian regime, which only cares about maintaining its power without any regard for its citizens. In order to achieve the zero-Covid-case goal and show the “readiness” for the Winter Olympics, the CCP resorted to extreme measures. As a result, officials “rightfully” enforced harsh measures to achieve the political goal with little consideration for ordinary citizens.
Due to the massive censorship and tight information blockade, it is hard to estimate the real damage the draconian COVID measures have caused. “In the past 12 months, how many Chinese have died from the lockdown? How many have lost their lives at quarantine sites? How many lives have been taken since chronic illnesses could not be treated? How many have passed away due to heart attacks with no hospital admission? How many deaths have been caused by a lack of obstetric inspection? How many have died with no access to fever medicine? How many have died of flu?” One netizen wrote, “We have no answers to these questions. We only know that, as we were told, deaths caused by COVID remained zero.”
Such a protocol is common in the CCP’s playbook of brutality and lies. In the name of the Great Leap Forward in the late 1950s, the general public became fervent about exaggerating crop yields, which led to higher levies and wasted crops. In the end, about 45 million people died of starvation.
Although on a much smaller scale, the incidents in Xi’an did share some commonalities with the Great Chinese Famine between 1959 and 1961. From hospital security to nurses to doctors, everyone was instructed – and successfully followed – the CCP’s COVID policies. With no conscience or respect for basic human rights, however, everyone has become a screw in the CCP’s machine of lies and killing.
One remedy for this dire situation arrived in 1992 when Falun Gong was introduced to the public. Consistent with traditional values, the practice focuses on the principles of Truthfulness-Compassion-Forbearance. It not only improved practitioners’ health but also lifted their moral levels.
As practitioners apply these teachings in their daily life to become better citizens, they became more considerate of others at home, at the workplace, and in society. The impact is huge. Had Falun Gong not been persecuted, China would have been a much better place.
Since the CCPs’ core values of brutality and lies contradict traditional values, former CCP leader Jiang Zemin started a nationwide persecution of Falun Gong in July 1999. A large number of practitioners were arrested, detained, and tortured for their belief. The CCP also made up many lies to defame Falun Gong and mislead the public.
That is why practitioners have been working hard in the past 23 years to clarify the facts of Falun Gong and help people recognize the nature of the CCP.
Some people are indifferent to the persecution. They think the suppression has nothing to do with them since they do not practice Falun Gong. But when fundamental values are undermined and morality is compromised, everyone would become a victim in the chaos.
This ranges from corrupt officials to fake merchandise and lack of conscience. As time continues, the situation deteriorates and more tragedies like what we saw in Xi’an may happen.
From another angle, this is also an opportunity for us to become awakened. Instead of blindly following the CCP’s propaganda and persecution policy, we can listen to the facts, spread the words, and help people make the right decision. By working together and rejecting the CCP, we can avoid more tragedies like those in Xi’an.
