(Minghui.org) Today's news from China includes incidents of persecution that took place in 7 cities or counties in 5 provinces, where at least 7 practitioners were recently persecuted for their belief.
Ms. Liu Lijie was sentenced to three and a half years in prison and fined 15,000 yuan by the Xiangyang District Court on November 17, 2021. She appealed to the Jiamusi Intermediate Court, which upheld the original verdict.
Ms. Liu Qingjie will be released from the Gongzhuling Prison in Jilin Province on March 13, 2022 after four and a half years of imprisonment.
Five officers from the Balinzuoqi Police Department including Xu Jianfeng, head of the Domestic Security Division, went to Ms. Ji Yunzhi’s home around 8 a.m. on February 1, 2022, which is Chinese New Year’s Day. They ransacked her home and confiscated more than 40 Falun Gong books and a photo of Falun Gong’s founder.
Ms. Ji Yunzhi and Ms. Sun Zhifang who was visiting Ms. Ji, were arrested. They are currently detained in the Balinzuoqi Detention Center.
Mr. Pan Hang was reported to police for talking about Falun Gong on the street and was arrested in December 2021. He was detained for 10 days in the Dongcheng District Detention House. Mr. Pan has been under 24-hour residential surveillance since January 24, 2022. The police officers take turns watching and following him all the time. There are always two police officers near the elevator downstairs in the building where he lives.
Mr. Zhang Duncheng, 50, works in the No.7 Construction Company of PetroChina. He was arrested by officers from the Sanlihe Police Station when he distributed truth-clarifying materials in Lucheng Community on October 17, 2021. He was placed under official arrest by the Jiaozhou Procuratorate 10 days later. Mr. Zhang was first detained in the Sanlihe Police Station and was later transferred to the Jiaozhou Detention Center. He has been detained there till now.
The Zhuanying District Court summoned the practitioners who were held in the Jilin Detention Center to the court room. The practitioners were pressured to sign a document to give up their right to appeal their cases.
Ms. Zheng Suhua was sentenced to prison by the Nanjin Court a few years ago with the term to be executed outside of prison.
Ms. Zheng was taken away by court staff in early January 2022. They claimed that she still had eight months of the prison term left. Her family does not know where she is detained.
