(Minghui.org) A Pingdingshan City, Henan Province, woman was recently sentenced to five years for practicing Falun Gong, a spiritual discipline that has been persecuted by the Chinese communist regime since 1999.
Ms. Wang Dongxia, 57, a former coal company employee, used to suffer severe tracheitis and frequent colds. After she took up Falun Gong in October 1997, her ailments disappeared and she changed from a pessimistic to a cheerful person.
Ms. Wang was arrested on October 17, 2021. Her family recently learned that she has been sentenced to five years and fined 10,000 yuan. Other details about her case aren’t clear at the time of writing.
