Additional Persecution News from China – October 10, 2022 (10 Reports)

(Minghui.org) Today's news from China includes incidents of persecution that took place in 9 cities or counties in 6 provinces, where at least 13 practitioners were recently persecuted for their belief.

10. [Changchun City, Jilin Province] Ms. Xu Bin’s Case Submitted to Procuratorate

1. [Mudanjiang City, Heilongjiang Province] Mr. Dai Qihong and Ms. Wang Yihong Persecuted in Prison

Mr. Dai Qihong was arrested in 2019 and later sentenced to five years. He is incarcerated in Hulan Prison. When he did the Falun Gong exercises, he was beaten and his gallbladder was ruptured. He is in critical condition.

Ms. Wang Yihong, 47, from Harbin City’s Shuangcheng District was sentenced to 10 years in prison by the Daoli District Court in Harbin on August 3, 2022. She was taken to Heilongjiang Province Women’s Prison. She has been suffering from chest pains and has a herniated disc.

2. [Huizhou City, Guangdong Province] Three Practitioners Detained

Mr. Zhao Tianhua, Chen Hualiang, and Lian Riguang were tried in court in October 2021. They have been illegally detained for a year.

3. [Beijing] Ms. Wang Lei Arrested

Ms. Wang Lei, over 50, lives at No.47 Ande Road, the Dongcheng District. She was arrested at home by Beixinqiao Police Station officers on the afternoon of October 9, 2022.

4. [Shanghai] Ms. Zhou Meijuan Being Monitored

Ms. Zhou Meijuan, a teacher at Yuan’anting Elementary School, Anting Town, Jiading District, was monitored by someone from the Xinyuan Community Security Guard’s Office on National Day, October 1.

5. [Weifang City, Shandong Province] Ms. Liu Yufen Harassed

Ms. Liu Yufen, over 70, lives in Xujiamiao Village, Tangwu Town. Four officers from the Tangwu Police Station harassed her on the afternoon of May 13, 2022. They confiscated a Dafa book from her home and warned her not to go out.

Village official Wang Zhenjie took six police officers to harass Ms. Liu on September 3, 2022. They confiscated two Dafa books, a photo of Falun Gong’s founder, and three hearing aids.

6. [Tieling City, Liaoning Province] Mr. Wu Donghui Harassed

Mr. Wu Donghui went to visit Ms. Zhang Hui when a dozen of plainclothes officers were ransacking Ms. Zhang’s home around 10 a.m. on July 13, 2022. Mr. Wu was dragged in and interrogated. The police later went to his home and searched it but didn’t find anything incriminating.

The police went to harass Mr. Wu twice around October 1. His manager at work also talked to Mr. Wu and took photos of him just before October 1.

7. [Guangzhou City, Guangdong Province] Ms. Zhou Fengqun Arrested

Ms. Zhou Fengqun from the Haizhu District was arrested at home in late September 2022.

8. [Sanhe City, Hebei Province] Ms. Wang Yanhua Harassed

Officers from the Yanshun Police Station, Yanjiao Town went to harass Ms. Wang Yanhua at 10 p.m. on October 8, 2022. Ms. Wang, over 50, was taking care of her grandchildren at home. She didn’t open the door when the police knocked. The officers pulled the switch outside to cut off the power before they left.

9. [Weifang City, Shandong Province] Mr. Chu Qinghua Harassed

Officers from Taibaozhuang Street Police Station went to Mr. Chu Qinghua’s mother’s home on October 1, 2022. They wanted to arrest Mr. Chu but couldn’t find him.

10. [Changchun City, Jilin Province] Ms. Xu Bin’s Case Submitted to Procuratorate

The case against Ms. Xu Bin was submitted to the Chaoyang District Procuratorate on September 14, 2022.
