(Minghui.org) Banners and posters detailing the ongoing persecution of Falun Dafa in China were displayed on Mont-Royal Avenue in Montreal on August 14, 2021. As passersby gathered to read the information, practitioners explained how the Chinese Communist Party (CCP) has persecuted the spiritual practice for 22 years.
The CCP has made enormous profits by selling organs it harvests from incarcerated practitioners who refuse to renounce their faith, sometimes while they are still alive. Many people signed the petition calling for the persecution to end immediately.
Practitioners in Montreal display information about the ongoing persecution in China and ask passersby to sign a petition to end it.
After learning how the CCP persecutes Falun Dafa practitioners in China, Abdulrahman, a hospital worker, said that action must be taken to stop the persecution.
“People should understand that the Chinese government is a terrorist regime. It killed people by harvesting their organs while they were still alive and sold the organs as commercial goods,” he said. “Whether government officials or ordinary citizens—we should all do something to stop this persecution.”
Isabelle, who is from Montreal, gladly signed the petition. “Look, I am not the only person who has signed the petition. The more people that get this information and realize that there is a problem, the more power we have to end it,” she said. She believes that practitioners’ clarifying the truth is important and “As citizens, we have the responsibility to act.”
Marie-José said that the banners tell people what they need to know, “These banners tell us what is going on in China. They are a good way to spread information and I have learned a lot.”
She condemned the CCP, saying, “Everyone should have freedom of belief—it isn’t up to the government. Harvesting organs from living practitioners is a systematic crime. I don’t understand why the international society is not looking into this issue. It’s against international treaties.”
George, his wife, and son sign the petition.
The CCP’s crimes against humanity angered many who signed the petition. George, his wife, and son all signed the petition that day.
George said that the CCP leaders should be severely punished. From Stalin to Mao, he was aware that communists have caused tens of millions of deaths and said that people must stop it.
“This is unacceptable and the UN should step up to end it,” Lois Kopolie said after learning about organ harvesting from living practitioners incarcerated for their faith. “The Chinese regime is made of murderers and gangsters. It is a criminal organization and they should be locked up.”
Oberaj asked practitioners how signing a petition could stop the persecution and the organ harvesting. A practitioner explained, “Every signature is a loud voice to stop the wrongdoers. The more people who sign the petition, the more frightened the evildoers are, because when many voices speak at once, they are a superpower that can shock the evil.”
Oberaj quickly picked up a pen, signed the petition, and said, “I hope the CCP will be completely eliminated.”
