Phone Calls to China to Stop the Persecution Reach the Hearts of Public Security Officials

(Minghui.org) Since the Chinese Communist Party (CCP) launched the persecution on July 20, 1999, Falun Dafa practitioners outside China have been clarifying the truth about the persecution to people in China. 

Ms. Zhou, a 77-year-old practitioner, has been making phone calls to officials in China’s public security departments for over two decades. In the past, her calls were often met with curse words or hung up on, but she says nowadays most officers or officials listen quietly as she explains the facts behind the persecution.

In some instances, a date had already been set for the trial of arrested practitioners, but after receiving such phone calls, the trial was canceled and practitioners were even released.

Party Secretary: Help Me Quit the Party with My Real Name

Ms. Zhou said, “At present, many officials who received our phone calls no longer curse at us or hang up the phone. They listen quietly. I focus on the development of Covid, why it happened and the true nature of the CCP. I ask them to treat Falun Dafa practitioners with kindness and tell them the risks of taking part in the persecution. I tell them if they protect practitioners, they will be blessed. By the end of our conversation many of them ask me to help them quit their Party membership.”

Recently Ms. Zhou called the office of a Party secretary responsible for maintaining law and order. He listened for more than an hour without interrupting.

He said, “I understand everything now. Help me renounce my membership.” Ms. Zhou asked him, “What alias do you want to use? You must be sincere in your wish to quit the CCP.” He answered, “Don’t you have my name on your phone list?”

Ms. Zhou forgot that she called him by his name when she made the call, she hastily replied, “Great, I will help you quit the CCP with your real name.” He said, “Thank you, take care.”

Domestic Security Division Team Leader Quits CCP Using Real Name

When he answered the phone a team leader of the Domestic Security Bureau in a city in Northeast China asked, “What is this about?” Ms. Zhou said, “We want to tell you how to keep safe amid the pandemic.” He replied, “You don’t have to tell me about this, we already understand the situation.”

Ms. Zhou said, “I read on the Internet that the persecution of Falun Dafa in your region is very severe. I’m calling you in hopes that you and your family can stay safe in this epidemic. You and your coworkers have participated in this suppression because you were deceived. Your situation is very dangerous as the CCP will use you as scapegoats.”

When he did not say anything Ms. Zhou continued, “Let me tell you about one thing the CCP did decades ago. When the Cultural Revolution was over, in Beijing 793 police officers and 17 officials at the military management level and police department were taken to Yunnan Province and secretly shot. You should know that currently the CCP is ‘cleaning up’ the Party and conducting investigations as far back as two decades. This covers the period when the persecution of Falun Dafa took place. Thus far, 12 charges were trumped up. They are the Party’s scapegoats.”

He said, “I might have heard of it.”

Ms. Zhou continued, “It is not easy for you to be a high-ranking official in the public security department. Those in the high levels should know better. Look at how moral values in society have gone down. Recently news in China reported that a man stabbed 9 children at one go. People’s morality has deteriorated to such an extent. You and your colleagues don’t care about these crimes instead you arrest those who follow Truthfulness, Compassion, Forbearance.”

When he indicated that he wanted to learn more Ms. Zhou suggested that he read three books: Nine Commentaries on the Communist Party, The Ultimate Goal of Communism, and How the Specter of Communism Is Ruling Our World. She also gave him the website address to download the books. Ms. Zhou then went on to tell him about past catastrophes such as the South East Asia Tsunami, the fall of the Roman Empire and stories of how people were blessed after reciting “Falun Dafa is good, Truthfulness-Compassion-Forbearance is good.” He listened attentively to everything she said.

When he thanked her, Ms. Zhou asked, “What alias would you like to use to quit the Party?” He replied, “Don’t you have my name? Just use my real name then.”

Court Official Gives Contact Numbers of Responsible Persons

Ms. Zhou called a court records department. A lady answered the phone. She listened quietly for a long time as Ms. Zhou explained things to her. She said in the end, “I’ve kept in mind what you told me. Let me give you two contact numbers for the supervisor in charge of the case, the court session will be held soon. You can call them directly and they will be able to assist you.”

Ms. Zhou later called the supervisor and clarified the truth to him. The officials canceled the trial, and the detained practitioners were released.

Public Security Official Moved to Tears

Since the persecution began, Ms. Li, a practitioner in Toronto, Canada, has been calling officials in the public security bureaus in China to ask for the release of detained practitioners. Persevering for over 20 years, she observed that there is an obvious change in the attitudes of those who picked up the overseas phone calls. Nowadays, many of them listen as practitioners clarify the truth. Some officials were even moved to tears and practitioners were released without a trial.

Ms. Li said, “Recently a police officer in Heilongjiang Province arrested an 80-year-old practitioner and planned to sentence her to prison. The case was already submitted to the procuratorate. Their procedure is to submit it to the procuratorate first, then to the court before a trial.”

The first time she called, the officer hung up. He took the call when she tried again. Ms. Li said, “I spoke to the leader of the domestic security division for over 30 minutes. I told him, ‘Release the practitioner, this is your chance to redress your wrong deeds. If you continue to take part in this persecution, there will be no hope.’ He kept listening at the other end and would sometimes say ‘hmmm’.”

Ms. Li also told him about the CCP removing organs from practitioners without consent and incidents where practitioners were brutally tortured. She said, “The tactics used by the CCP in making practitioners give up their belief are extremely cruel and inhumane. This is an evil that has never happened before on earth, taking practitioners’ organs and selling them for huge profits, how merciless this is. This suppression has brought about countless human tragedies, broken up so many families and turned children into orphans. How many elderly parents had to witness the deaths of their children?”

He listened without saying anything.

When Ms. Li said, “We tell you these things in hopes that when calamity falls, one more life can be saved, one more family is spared. If you don’t wake up, you will truly lose your chance.” The officer broke down and cried when she said these words.

Ms. Li said, “I believe you know what you should do now.” The case did not go to trial.
