(Minghui.org) Today's news from China includes incidents of persecution that took place in 14 cities or counties in 8 provinces, where at least 23 practitioners were recently persecuted for their belief.
Ms. Bai E was arrested by four officers, including Li Xiangli from the Zhanhe District Domestic Security Division, on June 18, 2021. The officers confiscated Falun Gong books, a computer, a copy of Nine Commentaries on the Communist Party, and about 1,600 yuan in paper bills with Falun Gong facts printed on them. She was placed under administrative detention for ten days.
Ms. Wang Guixiang, 65, from the Zhanhe District, was arrested at home by officers, including Zhang Chao from the Zhanhe District Domestic Security Division, on the afternoon of May 31, 2021. The officers confiscated Falun Gong books and printed materials. Ms. Wang was detained for 13 days.
Officer Li Xiangli led people to block Mr. Liu Quanzhong and his wife in the hallway outside their home on the morning of July 13, 2021. Without showing a search warrant, they went in, ransacked the place, and confiscated a laptop computer, a printer, Falun Gong books, photos of the founder of Falun Gong, bank deposit certificates, pension withdrawal books, and personal loan slips. The elderly couple was taken to the Qinggong Road Police Station and given physical examinations. They were not released until after 9 p.m. On the morning of July 28, the officers again intercepted the couple at the gate of their residential community and forcibly took them away for another physical examination. That night, Mr. Liu’s wife was given a detention term of ten days for public order violations. Mr. Liu was blind and needed care. He was taken to a nursing home by community officials for ten days.
Ms. Ni Cuiping from the Xietu Sub-district was arrested at home on the afternoon of June 25, 2021. She was taken to the Wuliqiao Police Station. She was placed under criminal detention and taken to the Huangpu District Detention Center the following day.
Ms. Guo Shuying from Pingdu City was making dinner at home on July 13, 2021. Three village officials followed her husband into their home and wanted to photograph her. Ms. Guo refused to cooperate, and instead clarified the truth to them.
Ms. Chen Xiufan has been missing for nearly two months.
Ms. Gao Chunling from Shouguang City was reported to the police for posting Falun Gong materials on July 6, 2021. She and her husband were arrested at home by officers from the Hualong Town Police Station. The officers confiscated Falun Gong books and 4,000 yuan in cash. The couple were held at the police station for two days before being released.
Deputy Party secretary Zhang Fengcai, of the Experimental Middle School, talked with Ms. Yin Limei and asked teacher Zhang Tieren to take photos. Ms. Yin warned them that this was a violation of her rights and refused to participate in the conversation that violated freedom of belief and human rights.
On the same day, officials from the Shujiao Elementary School also found Ms. Yu Xiaojuan and wanted to photograph her.
Officers from the Chuangxin Police Station in Xintianzhai Town, residential committee personnel, and Domestic Security officers went to Ms. Huang Yifen’s home and ransacked the place on the afternoon of July 8, 2021. They confiscated a large quantity of personal belongings. They have been monitoring her and restricting her personal freedom.
Mr. Fu Xin was arrested at home by officers from the Fanjia Village Police Station in the Fengtai District on July 16, 2021. His daughter and son-in-law were also arrested at the same time and released 24 hours later. Mr. Fu’s current situation is not clear.
The Tianping Road Police Station and the Tianping Sub-district Administration Office in Xuhui District sent people to stake out and monitor Ms. He Lijuan and Mr. Zhou Chao around the clock.
The tension was especially high on July 1, when the Chinese Communist Party marked its centenary. Three or four young people were hanging around the doorsteps of the two practitioners’ homes. These young people kept checking their cell phones, where they received updates posted in the WeChat social media group by their superiors, while reporting developments they gathered at the scene in real time.
The cases against Ms. Yang Mingxiang and Ms. Sun Xuefen filed by the Changle County Domestic Security Division have been turned over to the Changle County Procuratorate.
Zeng Qingfei, village head in Shuangshi Town, Yongchuan District, led 610 Office personnel and Domestic Security officers to the homes of Mr. Zhao Yulou and Ms. Liu Zhengrong and harassed them on May 8, 2021.
These officers, carrying handguns, went to the homes of the two practitioners and ransacked the places on May 11. They confiscated two photos of Falun Gong’s founder (Master Li), one photo of Master giving hand gestures, one copy of the book Zhuan Falun, and a special issue. Both practitioners clarified the truth to these people.
A residential officer from the Xinhua Police Station, along with residential community personnel, kept calling and knocking on the door to harass Mr. Sun Chengxian and his family for three consecutive days starting on July 14, 2021. On the morning of July 16, the group of three went to Mr. Sun’s house again to coerce his wife to sign paperwork, press fingerprints, and slander Dafa. Ms. Sun’s wife was in poor health, and they left promptly after taking several photos.
Ms. Zhao Xiumei was arrested in July 2021 by officers from the Jinxue Police Station and the Domestic Security Division.
People from the Zhongzhou Community Management Office and the Jiaonan Police Station broke into 78-year-old Ms. Wang Peiling’s home and ransacked the place on the morning of July 8, 2021. They confiscated photos of Falun Gong’s founder, a full set of over 50 Falun Gong books, short writings by Master that were kept in a photo album, various materials, two audio players, five containers of sandalwood incense sticks, and about 100 yuan in paper bills with Falun Gong facts printed on them. They also attempted to extort 500 yuan in cash from her.
A group of people recently broke into the home of Ye Chuang (gender unknown) and ransacked the place without showing any identification. When they left, Ye’s home was a complete mess.
Biaozi, deputy director of the Hashuang Road Police Station, Hongqi Township, Nangang District, led a few people into Mr. Zhen Guangtian’s home in late April 2018 and forced him to claim that he had stopped practicing Falun Gong. Mr. Zhen did not cooperate and was arrested by these people.
