The Persecution That Follows “Transformation”

(Minghui.org) In the persecution of Falun Dafa, officials of the Chinese Communist Party (CCP) are going all out to force Falun Dafa practitioners to renounce their faith. The desired result of “transforming” practitioners is for them to sign prepared statements agreeing to give up their cultivation. Signing these statements not only signifies one’s complete betrayal of Dafa and Master but also inadvertently aids in the persecution.

Master said,

“What “repentance”? What “transformation”? “Transform” into what? They're all being good people, they're being the best people in the world--they're good people that surpass everyday people--so what are you trying to “transform” them into? What “transformation”? The evil has really done all sorts of revolting things.” (“Teaching the Fa at the 2002 Fa Conference in Philadelphia, U.S.A.,” Collected Fa Teachings, Vol. II)

Since last year, officials from the local police stations, communities and workplaces have been harassing practitioners, deceiving some into being “transformed” by promising them a normal life with no persecution.

Looking back, have those “transformed” practitioners been able to live a peaceful life? Not at all. Let’s look at some examples.

Zeng used to be an exercise site assistant. She gave up Dafa practice not long after the persecution started. However, she found out through an application of going abroad that she had been monitored by police. She not only was not allowed to go abroad but also had to constantly express her loyalty to the CCP.

Nie was forcibly "transformed" under torture in a forced labor camp. The perpetrators forced her to listen to songs praising the CCP even after she gave in.

Many people who had benefited from Dafa suffered tremendously after they were "transformed" under torture. One practitioner said after she was released from the prison, she felt ashamed that she had let Master and Dafa down.

Practitioner Ms. Wang Dan described her "transformation" experience in Heilongjiang Province Women’s prison. She signed a statement first; she was then forced to write her own statement; then she had to read her statement aloud; later, she was ordered to write it with no tears, and she had to read aloud her slander of Master and Dafa with a smile.

Master said,

“…a Dafa student who, out of attachments, during this period gives a written promise not to cultivate Dafa anymore has determined his own future. If it didn’t truly come from his heart and was the result of coercion, and if he rejoins the Fa-rectification, then there will be greater tribulations, as tests, for him to pass.” (“A Suggestion,” Essentials for Further Advancement II)

For those who were released early after signing a renunciation statement, some were ordered to report to their local police stations on a regular basis and still couldn’t live a peaceful life.

Some had to submit a “thought report” once every month to the local judicial and legal department. They were also ordered to report to the authorities by scanning their face on their cellphones every day. Once a practitioner’s cellphone ran out of battery and she forgot to scan her face for the day. The police called her husband and demanded that she scan her face.

A practitioner on probation was sentenced again because he refused to write thought reports or attend the brainwashing classes.

Presently, the techniques used by the authorities to "transform" the practitioners have become even more deceiving. They do not even show the content of the statement when forcing practitioners to sign it. They just point to a signature area on a piece of paper. They also accept signatures by family members. When practitioners fall into their traps, sometimes they are still arrested or sentenced.

Master said,

“As a Dafa disciple, everything of yours is formed by Dafa and is the most righteous, and it can only be that [you] rectify everything that is not righteous. How could you bow to the evil? How could you promise something to the evil? Even if it doesn’t truly come from your heart, it’s still giving in to the evil. This is bad conduct for humans, too, and Gods absolutely would not do such a thing. Even if a Dafa cultivator truly casts off his human skin during the persecution, what awaits him is still Consummation. At the same time, no attachment or fear could possibly enable you to reach Consummation. And any attachment of fear is itself a barrier that prevents you from reaching Consummation, and is also a factor in your being “reformed” toward the evil side and in your betrayal.” (“Dafa is Indestructible,” Essentials for Further Advancement II)

The evil tries everything to drag practitioners down. Dafa disciples should completely negate it and eliminate it with righteous thoughts.
