The Netherlands: Falun Dafa Practitioners Celebrate World Falun Dafa Day

(Minghui.org) Falun Dafa practitioners in the Netherlands gathered at Amsterdam’s Dam Square to celebrate the 22nd World Falun Dafa Day and the 70^th birthday of the practice’s founder, Master Li Hongzhi, on May 13, 2021.

Ms. Wang Jia En, spokesperson for the Netherlands Falun Dafa Association, introduced Falun Dafa, gave an overview of the Chinese Communist Party’s persecution of the practice, and explained the meaning of World Falun Dafa Day in Dutch.

Practitioners dressed in yellow T-shirts demonstrated the five sets of Falun Dafa exercises. Many people stopped to watch and learn more. A little girl from Turkey became very interested in the exercises and began learning the fifth exercise, the meditation.

The waist drum team performed “Falun Dafa Is Good” and “Joyous Celebration.” The synchronized movements of the drummers, their vibrant costumes, and their resounding drumbeats created a jubilant atmosphere.

Locals show their support for ending the persecution by signing the petition.

Falun Dafa practitioners arranged a number of truth-clarification posters to raise awareness of CCP’s persecution. Many local people showed their support for practitioners’ efforts to end the persecution by signing the petition.

Bambang, an Internet reporter, believes that Falun Dafa’s principles of Truthfulness-Compassion-Forbearance are very important.

He pointed to three words on a banner and said, “I think Truthfulness-Compassion-Forbearance are very important, and it is also a constant reminder to myself to abide by these three principles. I need to be truthful and respect other people and be calm in mind. It will become a habit if I do this every day.”

He thinks that Falun Dafa is a culture and tradition. If one could wake up every morning and meditate peacefully, the day would go by more easily. He believes that the most important things in life are to maintain a calm mind toward others and oneself to find inner peace.

Ms. Raqual from the Philippines said, “People who cultivate Falun Dafa are very good and compassionate people.”

Ms. Raqual, from the Philippines, said she is very interested in Chinese medicine, meditation, and qigong.

“Falun Dafa is a cultivation tradition,” she said. “People who cultivate Falun Dafa are very good and compassionate people. They are dressed very nicely and their movements look very comfortable and peaceful. This can alleviate stress from our lives. My heart is already filled with Truthfulness-Compassion-Forbearance. This is a universal value. I like to meditate, and through meditation I can connect myself with the universe.”

“I heard about the crimes of forced labor camps and forced live organ harvesting. We are all very shocked and this is very frightening. The people here in the Netherlands do not know anything about this. I am very shocked to hear that the Chinese government is in on it. I wish I could help you. I believe by signing this petition, the government in the Netherlands will look at this issue seriously,” she said.

Jenny, from the Netherlands, works for an international company. She felt that Falun Dafa is good and said, “I think everyone should practice Falun Dafa. If we abide by the principles of Truthfulness-Compassion-Forbearance, we will have peace in this world. We will live a blissful life.”

Eva, a Polish businesswoman, and her mother think that everyone should know the truth about Falun Dafa.

Eva, a Polish businesswoman, lives in Amsterdam with her mother and son. After she saw how the CCP persecutes Falun Dafa practitioners she was in tears. “Everyone should know what is currently happening in China. This is very important for everyone to know,” she said.

Zakarya, a student from Oman, remarked, “The CCP has no morals at all when instigating this brutal persecution and the forced live organ harvesting. This is extremely evil. It needs to be stopped.”
