(Minghui.org) Today's news from China includes incidents of persecution that took place in 13 cities or counties in 7 provinces, where at least 30 practitioners were recently persecuted for their belief.

1. [Li County, Hunan Province] Four Practitioners Sentenced to Prison

Four practitioners were tried in the Li County Court on September 24, 2021 and were sentenced to prison on October 9, 2021. Ms. Lu Wei, in her 30s, was sentenced to eight years in prison; Ms. Zeng Xialin in her 50s, to four years in prison; Mr. Zhao Changgen, 67, to five years in prison; and Ms. He Fuxiu, 70, to two years in prison.

2. [Beijing] Ms. Cheng Quanyun Sentenced to Two Years in Prison

Ms. Cheng Quanyun from the Tongzhou District was placed under official arrest in November 2020. She is now sentenced to two years in prison.

3. [Dazhou City, Sichuan Province] Mr. Wang Haiqian Hospitalized

Mr. Wang Haiqian and Mr. Tang Zhikai from Dazhou County were taken to the Jiazhou Prison in Leshan City on August 5, 2021. Mr. Wang was abused in prison and developed symptoms of liver disease. He was taken to the prison hospital. The guards did not allow his family to visit him, using the pandemic as an excuse.

4. [Beijing] Mr. Ke Xingguo Harassed Repeatedly

Mr. Ke Xingguo has been harassed at home multiple times since September 2021. The people from the Wanshou Road Neighborhood Committee, Wanshou Road Police Station, and local residential community, kept harassing him and pressured him to sign a guarantee statement. Afterwards his wife was so terrified that she was sick and unable to take care of herself.

Mr. Ke took his wife to the hospital on October 9, 2021. When they returned home around 10 p.m., those people came to harass him again. Mr. Ke tried to clarify the truth to them.

5. [Changchun City, Jilin Province] Ms. Xu Yazhen Harassed

Ms. Xu Yazhen was harassed at home by the security director of Lianhua Village around October 8, 2021. She was pressured to sign a guarantee statement, which she refused.

6. [Huanggang City, Hubei Province] Ms. Yuan Wangdi Charged

Ms. Yuan Wangdi lives in Datong Town, Qichun County. She was arrested on April 26, 2021 and is currently detained in the Huanggang City Detention Center. She is now charged by the Huangmei County Procuratorate.

7. [Liangshan County, Shandong Province] Five Practitioners Harassed

Ms. Wang Yuzhen was harassed at home by officers from the Shuibo Police Station including Ma Junwei on September 14, 2021. The officers turned on their body cameras and asked whether Ms. Wang still practiced Falun Gong. Ms. Wang did not directly answer their questions but tried to clarify the truth to them.

Four other practitioners were harassed at home by the collaborator Qian Xiuyun and people from the 610 Office in September 2021. The practitioners are Ms. Chen Xianglian, Ms. Shi Xiumei, Ms. Zheng Chunrong, and Ms. Xiaolan. They were pressured to sign the three statements.

8. [Arxan City, Inner Mongolia] Ms. Xiaowen Harassed

During the “zero-out” campaign, Ms. Xiaowen was harassed by local police and neighborhood committee staff members. She was pressured to sign a guarantee statement. She was not allowed to go home and was illegally held for six days. Her husband was also monitored.

9. [Jianli City, Hubei Province] Three Practitioners Harassed or Detained

Ms. Xu Jiang and Ms. Liu Liping were reported to police for talking to people about Falun Gong in Xiaoyuan Village of Zhemu Township on June 26, 2021. They were arrested by officers from the Zhemu Township Police Station and detained. Ms. Liu Liping is still detained in the Jianli City Detention Center. Ms. Xu Jiang was later released and placed under residential surveillance.

Ms. Xu Jiang and Ms. Xu Liangying were chased by some people just when they walked out of the residential community gate on August 28, 2021. The two practitioners managed to evade those people who intended to take them to a brainwashing center.

10. [Shijiazhuang City, Hubei Province] Three Practitioners Arrested

Three practitioners, Mr. Zhang Jianwu, Ms. Fan Qiuwen, and Ms. Huo Xiufen, were arrested by officers from the Yi’an Town Police Station in Luquan District for talking to people about Falun Gong in Xinzhai Village of the Yi’an Town on the afternoon of February 2021. Their homes were ransacked. They were detained overnight in a cold and unheated room in the police station. Mr. Zhang Jianwu was detained for 10 days in a detention house. Ms. Fan Qiuwen was denied admission due to her poor health.

11. [Suizhou City, Hubei Province] Three Practitioners Persecuted

Ms. Li Renying was arrested by officers from the Nanjiao Police Station on May 14, 2020. Her home was ransacked. Ms. Li was detained for six months in the No.1 Detention Center of Suizhou City. During her detention, the authorities forced her family to dismiss the lawyer they hired. Ms. Li was tried in court secretly and was sentenced to three years in prison with five years of probation. She was ordered to report to the Suizhou City Justice Department every month and to carry a tapped cell phone at all times.

Ms. Zhou Yongying, 78, was arrested by police officers in Suizhou City in August 2021. She was detained for two days. She had to wear a monitoring bracelet after she returned home.

Ms. He Xiuli was arrested by officers from the Nanjiao Police Station at the beginning of September 2021. Her home was ransacked. She is currently detained in the No.1 Detention Center of Suizhou City.

12. [Shenyang City, Liaoning Province] Ms. Guo Xuhong Arrested

Ms. Guo Xuhong from Faku County was arrested on her way to work around 4 a.m. on October 9, 2021. Officers from the Shenyang Police Department and from the Faku County Police Department arrested her and took her to Caili Business Hostel in Xinmin City.

Ms. Guo’s home was ransacked. The wall posters with the phases of “Truthfulness-Compassion-Forbearance is Good”, cell phones and other items related to Falun Gong were confiscated. Ms. Guo’s husband was taken to the police station and was questioned about what his wife’s activities.

13. [Suining City, Sichuan Province] Mr. Tang Kunqiang Harassed

Mr. Tang Kunqiang from Baosheng Town was harassed at the beginning of September 2021 and was taken to the Anti-drug Education Center. He was threatened and was forced to sign some documents.

14. [Dujiangyan City, Sichuan Province] Ms. Ma Chunrong Harassed

Ms. Ma Chunrong lives in Xujia Town. Her husband was harassed at his workplace multiple times recently. People from the Dujiangyan City 610 Office and the Tianma Town Government came and pressured him to sign a guarantee statement on behalf of his wife, which he firmly refused. Her daughter worked in a school. The officials at her school were pressured to talk to her daughter about her mother.

15. [Dujiangyan City, Sichuan Province] Ms. Yang Huijun Arrested and Detained

Ms. Yang Huijun from Shiyang Town was arrested by officers from the Shiyang Township Police Station for talking to people about Falun Gong and was taken to the Pi County Detention Center by the Dujiangyan 610 Office. She has been detained for over a month.
