(Minghui.org) Today's news from China includes incidents of persecution that took place in 17 cities or counties in 11 provinces, where at least 52 practitioners were recently persecuted for their belief.

1. [Shanghai] Ms. Yang Manye and Ms. Gu Jihong Sentenced

Ms. Yang Manye and Ms. Gu Jihong were sentenced by the Jing’an District Court on September 24, 2021. Ms. Yang was sentenced to two years in prison and fined 8,000 yuan. Ms. Gu was sentenced to 18 months in prison and fined 6,000 yuan.

2. [Xingtai City, Hebei Province] Six Practitioners Arrested

Mr. Wu (first name unknown) and his wife (name unknown), Ms. Sun (first name unknown), Xiang Fen (gender unknown), a lady (name unknown) living near a court, and a lady (name unknown) living in the Chengjie area were arrested by officers from the Qiaoxi Domestic Security Division on the afternoon of September 22 2021. Most the practitioners are in their 70s. They were released.

3. [Kuancheng County, Hebei Province] Over 20 Practitioners Harassed

Over 20 practitioners in Dashizhuzi Township have been harassed by officers from the Tangdaohe Police Station since September 8, 2021. The officers videotaped them and asked if they still practiced Falun Gong, what their cell phone numbers were, and what their children’s cell phone numbers were.

The harassed practitioners are Zhang Fengzhi, Wang Shumin, Guo Feng’e, Kong Lingjuan, Shi Fuyu, Jing Guixia, Kong Suge, Bai Xiucheng, Shi Hanlin, Sun Yushuang, Shi Fengping, Shi Shouzhu, Liu Shuge, Jin Shouchun, Shi Feng’e, Sun Yushuang, Shi Xiaomei, Bai Xiaohong, Zhu Fengyun, Zhao Jianhua, etc.

4. [Shiyan City, Hubei Province] Ms. Qiao Liangyu Arrested

Ms. Qiao Liangyu was arrested at home by Baoxia Town mayor Wang Qiquan, deputy mayor, Political and Legal Affairs Committee agent Yu Xiaohua, and director Liu Shengguo and officers from the Baoxia Town Police Station on the evening of September 26, 2021. The officers previously threatened her and said they would arrest her and hold her in a brainwashing center.

5. [Pengzhou City, Sichuan Province] Ms. Yang Xingye Detained

Ms. Yang Xingye was arrested by three officers and taken to the Pengzhou City Detention Center on July 27, 2021. She was admitted to the Pengzhou City People’s Hospital on August 14. She was discharged from the hospital eight days later and held again at the Pengzhou City Detention Center. Her bank card was frozen.

6. [Jiujiang City, Jiangxi Province] Ms. Li Shuiqing Incarcerated

Ms. Li Shuiqing was sentenced to three years and 10 months in prison in May 2021. She is being severely abused in prison.

7. [Changchun City, Jilin Province] Ms. Cui Yanling and Ms. Wang Ying Detained

Ms. Cui Yanling and Ms. Wang Ying are held in the Changchun No. 4 Detention Center.

8. [Yancheng City, Jiangsu Province] Kuang Zhengyu Under House Arrest

Kuang Zhengyu (gender unknown) was arrested and placed under house arrest.

9. [Guangzhou City, Guangdong Province] Ms. Wu Xiulian Arrested

Ms. Wu Xiulian was arrested on September 5, 2021, after someone reported her for talking to people about the persecution of Falun Gong in Ersha Island. She was detained in the Baiyun Police Station for two days. Officers from the police station ransacked her home the next day without showing any paperwork. They seized 11 copies of Falun Gong books, a small Falun Gong exercise music player, a memory card with Falun Gong lecture audio files, and a Huawei cell phone.

She was taken to the Yuexiu Detention Center on the evening of September 7 and was released with 1,000 yuan bail bond on the evening of September 18. She asked for the return of her Falun Gong books on September 19. She only got back her handbag, umbrella, and watch. Police said there would a trial and her case would be closed after she was sentenced.

10. [Qi County, Henan Province] Ms. Zhang Qiuye Detained

Ms. Zhang Qiuye was arrested at home by officers from the Qi County Domestic Security Division on September 23, 2021. She is being held in the Qi County Detention Center.

11. [Suining City, Sichuan Province] Ms. Lu Yanfei Detained

Ms. Lu Yanfei was arrested by officers from the Jiefu Road Police Station on September 3, 2021, when she was talking to people about the persecution of Falun Gong near the police station. The officers forcibly took her to three hospitals for examinations. She did not cooperate. She was admitted to the Yongxing Detention Center that night. She started a hunger strike to protest her arrest and refused to wear the inmate uniform. She was released three days later.

12. [Mudanjiang City, Heilongjiang Province] Mr. Zhang Zhejun Arrested

Mr. Zhang Zhejun (a practitioner’s family member) was arrested at home by officers from the Aimin Police Department at 7:00 p.m. on September 26, 2021. Details are unknown.

13. [Meishan City, Sichuan Province] Ms. Bai Herong Missing, Ms. Yu Ziqun Held in Brainwashing Center

Four plainclothes officers went to Ms. Bai Herong’s home on the morning of September 13, 2021. No one answered the door. The officers called Ms. Bai’s husband and daughter, and ordered them to return home and open the door. They refused. Ms. Bai’s whereabouts are unknown.

Ms. Yu Ziqun was taken from home to the Renshou Brainwashing Center by more than 10 CCP members on the afternoon of September 13, 2021.

14. [Chaoyang City, Liaoning Province] Ms. Liu Yonglan and Li Shuying Harassed

Ms. Liu Yonglan and Li Shuying (gender unknown) were harassed at home by six officers from the Chaoyang County Domestic Security Division and the Beisijiazi Township Police Station on August 9, 2021. The officers found a gourd containing a Falun Gong message and asked where Ms. Liu got it. She replied that it was a gift. The officers searched her home and found a Falun Gong book and two audio players.

15. [Hong’an County, Hubei Province] Three Practitioners Detained

Ms. Cheng Lianlian and Ms. Zhang Guiying were arrested by officers from the Baliwan Town Police Station around 10:00 p.m. on August 21, 2021 after someone reported them when they distributed Falun Gong flyers near the police station.

The next day, officers ransacked the practitioners’ homes. They seized Ms. Cheng’s Falun Gong books, printouts, printers, notebook computer, USB drives, printer paper, and other items from her home. They seized Ms. Zhang’s Falun Gong books, car decorations, copies of Minghui Weekly, and other items from her home.

Ms. Zhang was released after she was held for two nights in the police station. The police arrested her at home two days later, claiming it was for their records.

Police located Ms. Lu Hongfang’s residences in both Hong’an county town and Baliwan Town several days later by checking the surveillance system and the WeChat records in Ms. Zhang’s cell phone. Ms. Lu Hongfang was arrested and her home was ransacked.

The three practitioners are being held at the Tuanfeng Detention Center in Huanggang City. No one has heard from them for more than a month.

16. [Chaoyang City, Liaoning Province] Mr. Pan Yufeng Incarcerated

Mr. Pan Yufeng is incarcerated in the 21^th Ward, Jinzhou Prison. The address is 86 Nanshanli, Taihe District, Jinzhou City.

17. [Shenzhen City, Guangdong Province] Mr. Xie Wanmeng Transferred to Prison

Mr. Xie Wanmeng, a Go game teacher, is set to be incarcerated in the Sihui Prison in Sihui City. His family had received a refund notification from his account in Yantian Detention Center, Shenzhen City at the time of this report.

18. [Taiyuan City, Shanxi Province] Ms. Gao Caifeng Detained

Ms. Gao Caifeng, in her 40s, was arrested by officers from the Gulou Police Station on September 24, 2021, after someone reported her when she distributed Falun Gong flyers. She is being held in the Taiyuan City No. 3 Detention Center.

19. [Linyi City, Shandong Province] Practitioners Subjected to Brainwashing

Linyi City Political and Legal Affairs Committee and the 610 Office set up a brainwashing center in the Dadian Town Nursing Home, Junan County, in September 2021. Following their secret orders, the Junan County Political and Legal Affairs Committee, and CCP Work Committee ordered county Education and Sports Bureau, town governments, village committees, Domestic Security Division, and police stations to bring practitioners to the brainwashing center by any means necessary. Practitioners were harassed and threatened. Their families and work units were harassed and threatened. Some practitioners were taken by force to the brainwashing center.

Ms. Pang Lizhi of Dabunan Village, Shizhilu Town, was arrested by over ten people and taken to the brainwashing center on September 6, 2021. She was held there for three days. Wang Yongning, two people from Linyi City, and others pressured her to defame Falun Gong and its founder Master Li, and press her fingerprints.

Ms. Zhu Konglan of Honggou was brought to the brainwashing center by two agents from the Education and Sports Bureau on September 7, 2021. She was ordered to defame Falun Gong and its founder in front of a camera and a camcorder.

Ms. Yang Jifeng of Sanyi Community, Xianggou Town, was deceived and taken to the brainwashing center by the village CCP secretary and officers from the Xianggou Police Station on September 8, 2021. They threatened to arrest her husband if she did not sign documents renouncing Falun Gong. She was pressured to defame Falun Gong and its founder, and press her fingerprints on the documents. The village secretary was ordered to sign the documents for her.

Ms. Wei Ben’e of Shizhilu Town and her husband were forced to go to the brainwashing center, sign and press their fingerprints on documents renouncing Falun Gong on September 13, 2021. Her husband was threatened by director Ji Xingfeng of Comprehensive Management Office, CCP Work Committee. The couple was repeatedly harassed and threatened at their home by village committee members.

The husband of Ms. Sheng Jin was harassed by phone calls at the end of September 2021. Ms. Sheng is a physician. She and her husband work at the county hospital.
