(Minghui.org) Today's news from China includes incidents of persecution that took place in 22 cities or counties in 14 provinces, where at least 64 practitioners were recently persecuted for their belief.

1. [Nanchang City, Jiangxi Province] Ms. Zhang Li Sentenced to Prison

Ms. Zhang Li, 60, was arrested in July 2019 by officers from the Xihu District Police Department and the Donghu District Police Department. She was sentenced to seven years and six months in prison and fined 100,000 yuan by the Xihu District Court on October 22, 2020. She has appealed to the Nanchang Intermediate Court. She is currently detained in No.19 Cell, No.1 Detention Center of Nanchang City.

2. [Xiaogan City, Hubei Province] Three Family Members Sentenced to Prison

Mr. Xu Zhangqing, his wife Ms. Tu Ailian, and their son Mr. Xu Gaorui (non-practitioner) were arrested at their home in the Xiaonan District around 9 p.m., September 27, 2019.

After being detained for more than a year, they were tried in Anlu Court on November 17, 2020. The trial lasted more than seven hours. The judgments signed by Yang Yaolong from Anlu Court were delivered to defense lawyers on November 26, 2020. Mr. Xu Zhangqing was sentenced to seven years and nine months in prison; Ms. Tu Ailian to seven years in prison; Mr. Xu Gaorui to seven years and six months in prison. They were also fined 10,000 yuan respectively. The lawyers have appealed the case to the Xiaogan City Intermediate Court.

3. [Shenyang City, Liaoning Province] Ms. Yao Fengyun Tried in Court

Ms. Yao Fengyun was tried via live video in the Yuhong District Court on December 10, 2020. Ms. Yao remained in the No.1 Detention Center during the trial.

4. [Huainan City, Anhui Province] Ms. Xia Zehong Faces Trial

Ms. Xia Zehong will be tried in the Tianjia'an Court on December 14, 2020.

5. [Daqing City, Heilongjiang Province] Six Practitioners Face Trial

Six practitioners will be tried in the Ranghulu District Court on the morning of December 15, 2020. They are Mr. Lu Chaobo, Ms. Wang Yuhong, Ms. Dong Na, Mr. Zhang Wansheng, Ms. Xue Liwei, and Mr. Chen Weibo.

6. [Chifeng City, Inner Mongolia] 12 Practitioners Persecuted

Several practitioners from Yuanbaoshan District were sent to a brainwashing center on December 10, 2020. They are Ms. Wang Yanping, Ms. Wang Fenghua, Mr. Xue Xiangshan, Ms. Ning Yanmei, and Ms. Liu Yaru,

Ms. Bai Shengzhen and Ms. Bai Yuru were harassed at home by security guards in Shalawusu Village. They left home to avoid further persecution. Ms. Xiang Hua from Yuhuang Village also had to leave her home after being harassed. Ms. Hu Xiuli was also harassed.

Ms. Ren Suying's and Ms. Zhai Cuixia's pensions have been suspended.

Ms. Bai Baohua was arrested and detained on November 16, 2020.

7. [Bayan County, Heilongjiang Province] Four Practitioners Harassed

Ms. Liu Hongyan was harassed by officers from the Shiqiao Town Police Station and was ordered to sign a guarantee statement to renounce Falun Gong.

Mr. Xiao Dehai is over 80 years old. His son was phoned and told to come to the Shiqiao Town Police Station. He was ordered to sign the guarantee statement on behalf of his parents.

Several officers from the Songhuajiang Township Police Station came to Mr. Wan Guojun’s home recently. Mr. Wan was not home at that time. They got the cell phone number from his wife and made harassment calls to him. Mr. Wan refused to sign the guarantee statement.

8. [Shantou City, Guangdong Province] Ms. Cai Yuchan Arrested

Ms. Cai Yuchan lives in Lianzhong Village, Waisha Town of Longhu District. She was reported to the police when she was clarifying the truth and was arrested on the afternoon of December 12, 2020 by officers from the Waisha Town Police Station. Her home was then ransacked and some Dafa books were taken away. She is currently detained in the police station.

9. [Shenyang City, Liaoning Province] Ms. Meng Chenxia Arrested

Ms. Meng Chenxia from Shenbei New District, Shenyang City, Liaoning Province, was recently arrested in Yingtan City, Jiangxi Province for distributing information about Falun Gong and the persecution.

10. [Changchun City, Jilin Province] Mr. Li Xixian Repeatedly Harassed

Mr. Li Xixian's son received a harassment phone call on December 1, 2020 from Pengcheng Community staff and was told to sign a guarantee statement on behalf of his father. He refused. The next day, on December 2, 2020, more harassment calls were made to Mr. Li’s son and his daughter-in-law.

The director of the local community and a staff member came to Mr. Li Xixian’s home on December 9, 2020. Mr. Li did not open the door.

Mr. Li was harassed at home again on December 11, 2020. He was ordered to sign the three statements. Someone photographed him with their cell phone.

11. [Nanchang City, Jiangxi Province] Ms. Chen Dongmei and Ms. Shu Ming Harassed

Ms. Chen Dongmei was harassed via phone call and at home on December 10, 2020 by the local community personnel and officers from the Guangrunmen Police Station in the Xihu District. After she refused to sign the guarantee statement, they tried to harass her family members, who also refused to cooperate.

Ms. Shu Ming was harassed at home on December 10, 2020 by personnel from the Liangshanshu Community and officers from the Chaonong Police Station in the Xihu District. They threatened to send Ms. Shu to the brainwashing center if she refused to sign the guarantee statement. Ms. Shu managed to escape and leave home. Her current whereabouts are unknown.

12. [Shijiazhuang City, Hebei Province] Ms. Chen Xiuying Arrested and Detained

Ms. Chen Xiuying was arrested on the afternoon of December 9, 2020 by officers from the Shucheng Police Station in the Luquan District. She is currently detained in the No. 2 Detention Center of Shijiazhuang City.

13. [Qian’an City, Hebei Province] Ms. Zhou Xiuxia and Ms. Si Fengmin Harassed

Ms. Zhou Xiuxia was harassed at home in early December 2020 by an officer surnamed Li from the Chengguan Police Station. The family did not open the door when the police officer knocked on it.

Ms. Si Fengmin was harassed at home on December 7, 2020 by officers from the Chengguan Police Station. They knocked on the door and demanded to know whether she still practiced Falun Gong.

14. [Linqing City, Shandong Province] Mr. Li Qiwen Arrested and Detained

Mr. Li Qiwen was arrested around December 6, 2020 and is currently detained in the Linqing Detention Center.

15. [Cangzhou City, Hebei Province] Ms. Shen Yongmei Repeatedly Harassed

Ms. Shen Yongmei and her family members have been harassed at home or at their workplaces three times by local officers from the Xingji Town Police Station including Zhang Xucai, Zhao Pengfei, Li Zhi, and Li Dongze. They demanded that she and her family members sign the guarantee statement. Officer Zhang Xucai has often harassed local practitioners for more than ten years.

16. [Jiuquan City, Gansu Province] Three Practitioners Harassed

Ms. Wang Shuying was harassed at home on November 27, 2020 by village directors Zhang Dongping, Kang Shengjun, and Liu Yanrong. They came to her workplace to harass her on November 30, 2020. They returned to her home on December 2, 2020. They even went to her in-laws. On December 4, 2020 when they came to her home again, Ms. Wang’s son was there. They tried to trick her son into signing a guarantee statement, which he refused.

Ms. Zhang Ximei was harassed in November 2020. Her daughter and son were threatened and told to sign the three statements on behalf of their mother.

Ms. Yang Xuefang was harassed in November 2020.

17. [Tumen City, Jilin Province] Ms. Jiang Shuzhi Arrested and Detained

Ms. Jiang Shuzhi was arrested in early December 2020. She likely sustained leg injuries during the arrest. Currently she is detained in the Yanji Detention Center.

18. [Yanji City, Jilin Province] Ms. Yang Junyan Arrested and Detained

Ms. Yang Junyan from Chaoyangchuan Town was arrested on December 7, 2020 by the officers from the Yanji High-speed Railway Police Station. She is currently detained in the Yanji Detention Center.

19. [Gongyi City, Henan Province] Ms. Wu Qiaoxia Harassed

Ms. Wu Qiaoxia lives in Sigou Village, Zanjie Town of Gongyi City. She was harassed at home by town and village officials on November 6, 2020. Ms. Wu did not open the door for them. When her husband came back in the evening, village official Du Dawei told him that they planned to send Ms. Wu to the brainwashing center in Zhengzhou City for 20 days.

20. [Harbin City, Heilongjiang Province] Mr. Wang Yunqi and Mr. Li Changzhu Face Trial

Mr. Wang Yunqi and Mr. Li Changzhu from Xiangfang District will be tried on December 19, 2020.

21. [Sanhe City, Hebei Province] Ms. Yu Xuelan Harassed

Ms. Yu Xuelan was harassed at home on December 8, 2020 by officers from the Sunlu Police Station in Yanjiao Town.

22. [Jiamusi City, Heilongjiang Province] Ms. Luan Liping Arrested and Detained

As Ms. Luan Liping was taking care of her mother at home on December 11, 2020, the police came. They opened the door with a master key when she refused to open it for them. They arrested her and ransacked her home. They took away one computer, all of her Dafa books, several Minghui Weekly magazines, and two cell phones.

23. [Cangzhou City, Hebei Province] Ms. Ji Lanxiang Harassed

Ms. Ji Lanxiang was harassed at her workplace on December 11, 2020 by Su Bin, staff from the Xihuan Road Residential Office and officers from the Xihuan Road Police Station. They called Ms. Li’s supervisor and ordered him to remove Ms. Li from her current job.

Su Bin made a harassment call a week ago to Ms. Ji’s daughter, who is attending school in another city.

24. [Bazhong City, Sichuan Province] Six Practitioners Harassed and Their Homes Raided

Officers from the Jiangbei Police Station and the Xicheng Police Station harassed and conducted home raids in October 2020 against the following practitioners: Ms. Xiang Jiongwen, Ms. Li Guozhen, Mr. Liu Mingkun, Ms. Chen Yanjing, Ms. Yang Qinghua and Ms. Xie Aihua. Dafa books, photos of Falun Gong's founder, and media players for exercises were taken away.

Mr. Liu Mingkun was taken to the Jiangbei police station when he was found to have an amulet with him. He was interrogated for several hours before being released.

Ms. Yang Qinghua's home was raided on the morning of October 18, 2020. Four police officers came to her home with the excuse of conducting a census. They took away more than 40 Dafa books and one media player. She was harassed at home again around 9 p.m., October 29, 2020 by one police officer and an armed police officer. Several police officers came to her home again on the morning of October 30, 2020 and took Ms. Yang and her husband (non-practitioner) to Xicheng Police Station and interrogated them. They even called their daughter in Chengdu City to help pressure her parents. Ms. Yang and her husband were released at around 10 p.m. that evening.

25. [Chifeng City, Inner Mongolia] Ms. Zhang Lanqin Arrested and Detained

Ms. Zhang Lanqin from Balinzuoqi was arrested at home on November 4, 2020. Her home was ransacked. They took away all of her Dafa books, the photo of Falun Gong's founder, media players, truth-clarifying materials, and other items. Ms. Zhang was taken to the police station for interrogation. She refused to cooperate and was later sent to the Balinzuoqi Detention House. She was released after being detained for 15 days.

26. [Mudanjiang City, Heilongjiang Province] Four Practitioners Harassed or Arrested

Mr. Liu Chang’an from Dongcun was arrested on December 3, 2020 by officers from the Aimin Police Department. He was released later.

Mr. Zhao Jianguo was found at Ms. Li Cuilan’s home in November 2020 during a census visit by police. Mr. Zhao was arrested. Ms. Li’s son and the daughter-in-law were taken to the police station for interrogation and were released later.

Mr. Lu Zhenjiang was harassed at home on November 16, 2020 by officers from the Aimin Police Department. Mr. Lu did not open the door for them. They tried to break the lock and get in, but failed.

Mr. Zhao Zhongjiang and Ms. Liang were arrested on November 20, 2020 by officers from the Aimin Police Department. The police ransacked the homes of Mr. Zhao’s two sons, as well as his in-laws. His son’s home was also monitored by plainclothes police.
