(Minghui.org) Today's news from China includes incidents of persecution that took place in 17 cities or counties in 10provinces, where at least 26 practitioners were recently persecuted for their belief.

1. [Jilin City, Jilin Province] Ms. Su Mingying Imprisoned
Ms. Su Mingying was sentenced to three years in prison in 2019, and taken to the Jilin Province Women’s Prison. A guard from the Jilin Detention Center called her family and told them that Ms. Su had been taken to the prison, and that they should deposit money for her. They were also said that no one was allowed to visit her for now.
2. [Hangzhou City, Zhejiang Province] Ms. Lou Qinnan Facing Trial
Ms. Lou Qinnan was reported to police before the 2020 Chinese New Year for talking to people about Falun Gong. Her home was ransacked. She was arrested, and has since been released on bail.
The Xiaoshan District Court contacted her in August, stating that she would be tried on the morning of September 18.
3. [Changzhou City, Jiangsu Province] Three Practitioners Tried
Mr. Tan Xiaodong, his mother Ms. Chen Xingzhen, and Ms. Yan Cailing were tried by the Wujin District Court on August 18, 2020.
Mr. Tan was tried via teleconference and sentenced to prison for seven to nine years.Ms. Chen was sentenced from three to five years. Ms. Yan was released on bail.
4. [Nanjing City, Jiangsu Province] Ms. Wang Huilan Indicted, Ms. Ji Jianxia Missing
Ms. Wang Huilan was reported to the authorities for talking to people about Falun Gong. Agents from the Xuanwu District Procuratorate went to her home on August 13, 2020, and demanded that she sign the indictment.
Ms. Ji Jianxia was harassed in early August. Someone called her son and demanded Ms. Ji report to the police station. Three unidentified people later knocked on her door. Ms. Ji’s whereabouts are unknown.
5. [Chengdu City, Sichuan Province] Ms. Yu Shaoping Facing Trial
Ms. Yu Shaoping, a former teacher of the Yuanbeijie Primary School in Dayi County, Chengdu City, has been held in the Pi County Detention Center for 15 months. She is due to be tried by the Dayi Court on September 11, 2020.
6. [Shanghai] Ms. Gao Suling and Ms. Zhou Guifang Harassed
Officers from the Puxing Police Station forcibly collected Ms. Gao Suling and Ms. Zhou Guifang blood samples, fingerprints, samples of their handwriting, and photographs in July 2020.
7. [Qitaihe City, Heilongjiang Province] Ms. Zhang Liping Arrested
Ms. Zhang Liping was arrested on August 19, 2020. Her home was ransacked.
8. [Jiamusi City, Heilongjiang Province] Ms. Li Xuejie Harassed
Ms. Li Xuejie was harassed at home by officers from the Songlin Police Station and Jiangnan Village head Hu Guangquan on August 29, 2020. They confiscated a copy of Zhuan Falun.
Ms. Li tried to take it back as the officers dragged her out of the building and threatened to arrest her. Ms. Li fell to the ground, and the officer threw the book back to her.
9. [Jinchang City, Gansu Province] Three Practitioners Harassed
Mr. Wang Chengtang was harassed at home by security guard Wu and others from Ningyuan Town on July 31, 2020. They asked if he was still practicing Falun Gong, and stayed in Mr. Wang’s home for over three hours.
Ms. Yang Chengmei was harassed at home by personnel from the Binhelu Street Comprehensive Management Committee. They demanded that she stop practicing Falun Gong and sign the guarantee statement. Ms. Yang refused.
The Jinchuan District No. 3 Community Party secretary and four officers from the police station went to Ms. Wang in August, and told her that they would help her apply for low income benefits, but only if she stopped practicing Falun Gong and wrote the three statements.
10. [Hengshui City, Hebei Province] Mr. Xue Junzhuang Harassed
Mr. Xue Junzhuang was harassed at home on August 21, 2020, by Kong Yingda and others from the Lubei Residential Office. They wanted to know if he was still practicing Falun Gong.
Kong and two officers from the Yuhua Road Police Station went to Mr. Xue’s home again on August 26, and demanded that he sign the three statements. Mr. Xue refused.
11. [Shenyang City, Liaoning Province] Ms. Xie Yuqiang Arrested and Released
Mr. Xie Yuqiang was searched by officers from the North Shenyang Railroad Station when he visited his hometown on August 22, 2020. They found Falun Gong materials in his bag, went to his home and ransacked the place.
Mr. Xie was arrested and taken to the North Railroad Station Police Station. He was later released.
12. [Yaan City, Sichuan Province] Ms. Wang Minghui’s Whereabouts Unknown
Ms. Wang Minghui was arrested by a plainclothes officer from the Mingshan Domestic Security Division at about 10 p.m. on August 29, 2020, for distributing Falun Gong informational materials. Several people broke into her home, and confiscated Falun Gong books, a picture of Falun Gong's founder, a cellphone, and other personal belongings.
Ms. Wang’s whereabouts are unknown.
13. [Laizhou City, Shandong Province] Ms. Cui Shue and Deng Arrested and Released the Same Day
Ms. Cui Shue, in her 70s, met practitioner Deng while she was grocery shopping in Fangbeiji on July 30, 2020. They were arrested by several officers and taken to the Chengguo Police Station. The officers searched their bags, took their home keys, and ransacked their residences. Ms. Cui’s Falun Gong books, a picture of Falun Gong's founder, audio players, and other personal belongings were confiscated. They were released several hours later.
14. [Hanchuan City, Hubei Province] Ms. Zhang Dongjiao Harassed
Deng Junjun, from the Liuhe Community; Lin Sanhong, deputy director of the Chengbei Police Station; and other officers went to Ms. Zhang Dongjiao’s home on the afternoon of August 27, 2020, with the intention of forcing her to stop practicing Falun Gong. However, Ms. Zhang was not there.
15. [Yangquan City, Shanxi Province] Three Practitioners Arrested
Ms. Zhang Qiaorun and Ms. Zhu Ruiying from Pingding County were taken to the Yangquan Detention Center by officers from the Pingding Police Department on August 5, 2020, after they were seen on surveillance cameras talking to people about Falun Gong. Ms. Zhu was released on August 20, while Ms. Zhang was transferred to the Yu County Detention Center.
Ms. Zhai Yinxiang was arrested by officers from the Pingding Police Department in February 2020 for posting Falun Gong flyers in the streets. He has been held in the Yangquan City Psychiatric Hospital since then.
16. [Zhuozhou City, Hebei Province] Ms. Xue Harassed
Ms. Xue was harassed at home by officers from the Zhuozhou City Domestic Security Division on August 26, 2020. The officers searched his home for Falun Gong books, took pictures, and confiscated several copies of Minghui Weekly.
17. [Chongqing] Ms. Li Xuehua Harassed
Ms. Li Xuehua was harassed at home by four agents from the Shengxilu Community on August 17, 2020. They questioned if she had Falun Gong books and pushed her to sign documents. She refused.
Agents from Shengxilu Community and community officers went to Ms. Li’s home again on August 20. They told her not to distribute Falun Gong materials and to stay at home.
