1. [Lianjiang City, Guangdong Province] Ms. Pang Yongfeng Sentenced
Ms. Pang Yongfeng of Lianjiang City visited her two daughters in Foshan City before the Mid-Autumn Festival in 2019. She was arrested when she distributed Falun Gong flyers, and has since been held in an unknown location. Her daughters are not allowed to visit her. It was learned recently that she was sentenced to two years in prison by the Foshan City Court. No other information about her is available.
2. [Harbin City, Heilongjiang Province] Practitioners Tried in Court
Ms. Yu Ping, Ms. Feng Shuhuan, Ms. Wu Guibo, Ms. Dai Shihua, and Ms. Dai Shiling (non-practitioner) were held in the Harbin City No. 2 Detention Center and tried online by the Daoli District Court on the afternoon of November 24, 2020. Three lawyers defended their clients in the courthouse. The trial lasted more than three hours and ended without sentencing.
The five women were arrested in April 2019, and have been detained since then.
3. [Shouguang City, Shandong Province] Sun Shengying Sentenced
Sun Shengying (gender unknown) was arrested by Shouguang Domestic Security Division officer Yang Yigui and officers from his local police station on December 7, 2019. Sun has since been held at the Weifang Detention Center. Sun was recently sentenced to three-and-a-half years in prison by the Qingzhou Court, and has appealed.
4. [Shizuishan City, Ningxia Hui Autonomous Region] Four Practitioners Face Trial
Ms. Chen Xiuping, Ms. Shi Meilan, Ms. Yu Dezhen, and Ms. Liu Cuimei were arrested by officers from the Huinong District Police Department. Their cases were submitted to the Dawukou District Procuratorate on October 13, 2020. They were charged around November 15, 2020. The Dawokou District Court was to hear the cases at 9 a.m. on December 8, 2020.
5. [Guangzhou City, Guangdong Province] Mr. Yang Qiuren Sentenced to Eight Years in Prison
Mr. Yang Qiuren, 42, was arrested by officers from the Changxing Police Station and the Tianhe District Domestic Security Division on May 12, 2017 when he mailed a letter to the police station asking them to stop the persecution of Falun Gong practitioners. He has been held in the Tianhe District Detention Center. The Tianhe District Court sentenced him to eight years in prison on September 25, 2018. He was taken to the Beijiang Prison on March 27, 2019. When his family visited him there in June, 2019, they found that he had been abused and was in terrible physical condition.
6. [Tianjin] Ms. Liang Langui in Police Custody
Ms. Liang Langui was arrested by officers who were waiting for her downstairs at her son’s home in mid-November, 2020. She is still in police custody.
7. [Jilin City, Jilin Province] Ms. Gong Hongqin Harassed
Ms. Gong Hongqin was harassed at home by community agent Ma Yunqiu in early November 2020. Ma demanded that Ms. Gong transform. Ms. Gong refused. Two community agents knocked on her door again on November 24.
8. [Dingxi City, Gansu Province] Mr. Bi Yujie Suspended from Work
Mr. Bi Yujie was suspended from his job because he practices Falun Gong. His work unit requested that he provide an approval issued by his local police station before he can resume working.
9. [Boye County, Hebei Province] Ms. Xiao Huandi and Hu Jinyan Detained
Ms. Xiao Huandi, in her 70s, and Hu Junyan (gender unknown) of Boye County were arrested and held at the Wenren Police Station on November 24, 2020, after someone reported them when they talked to people about the persecution of Falun Gong in Duanzhuang Village, Qingyuan County. Ms. Xiao became sick and was released that night. Hu is being held in the Qingyuan County Detention Center.
10. [Baoding City, Hebei Province] Ms. Wu Junping Faces Trial
Ms. Wu Junping, 70, was to be tried in the “Legal Education Base” located south of a detention center on the morning of December 1, 2020.
11. [Pingdingshan City, Henan province] Several Practitioners Arrested
Several practitioners in Baofeng County were arrested on July 13, 2020. Most of them were released. Ms. Li Huiqin, Ms. Li Junli, Ms. Li Jinyue, and Ms. Hong Xia are still detained.
12. [Beijing] Mr. Li Yiheng Tried in Court
Mr. Li Yiheng was tried in court on November 10, 2020. The trial was adjourned without sentencing.
13. [Shihezi City, Xijiang Hui Autonomous Region] Ms. Zhan Ying Held in Brainwashing Center
Ms. Zhan Ying was arrested and her home was ransacked. She has been held at a brainwashing center.
14. [Leshan City, Sichuan Province] Ms. Chen Baoqiong Arrested, Liu Zu Detained
Liu Zu (gender unknown) was arrested at home by Jianwei County 610 Office head Tang Lianjie and community agents on November 25, 2020. Liu is being held in the Leshan Detention Center.
Ms. Chen Baoqiong was arrested on November 25, 2020. She was taken to the Leshan Detention Center, but was rejected because of her high blood pressure.
15. [Dalian City, Liaoning Province] Feng Jimei Detained
Feng Jimei (gender unknown) was arrested by officers from the Zhongshan Police Department and Kunming Street Police Station on November 18, 2020. Feng’s home was ransacked. Falun Gong books and cell phones were confiscated. Feng is being held at the Yaojia Detention Center.
16. [Hefei City, Anhui Province] Ms. Kang Qihui Faces Trial
Ms. Kang Qihui was to be tried by the Shushan District Court on the afternoon of November 27, 2020.
17. [Lianjiang City, Guangdong Province] Ms. Wen Dongqing and Ms. Luo Ling Harassed
Ms. Wen Dongqing and Ms. Luo Ling were phoned by agents from community committees and officers from the Xinxing Police Station. They were told to sign a document to declare they gave up practicing Falun Gong. The callers claimed that the practitioners would be arrested if they did not comply.
18. [Nantong City, Jiangsu Province] Ms. Hu Ronghua Arrested, Ms. Huang Ruying Disappeared
Ms. Huang Ruying, in her 80s, disappeared over five months ago.
Ms. Hu Ronghua, in her 80s, was arrested at home by eight officers. Further details are unknown.
19. [Benxi City, Liaoning Province] Additional News on Five Practitioners’ Arrests
Ms. Cong Xiuying, in her 80s, Ms. Zhang Yaqin, in her 70s, and Ms. Li Li, in her 50s, were arrested on the morning of October 15, 2020. The officers ransacked their homes and confiscated a large amount of personal belongings. Ms. Zhang and Ms. Li were released that night.
Ms. Yang Guizhu, in her 70s, and Ms. Chu Xiaojuan, in her 50s, were arrested at Ms. Yang’s home by officers. The officers seized many items from Ms. Yang's home. Ms. Yang and Ms. Chu were released that night.
20. [Harbin City, Heilongjiang Province] Ms. Qu Guirong Harassed
Ms. Qu Guirong was harassed at home several times by two officers from the Pingfang District Police Department on November 25, 2020. The officers ordered her to sign some paperwork. She refused. The officers threatened to arrest her, but she still did not comply.
21. [Botou City, Hebei Province] Ms. Gao Suqing Harassed
Ms. Gao Suqing was repeatedly harassed at home by officers from the Wangwu Town Police Station and agents from the Wangwu Town government in early November, 2020. The harassers ordered her to declare that she'd given up Falun Gong. She refused. On the afternoon of November 14, the village CCP secretary, a village committee member (her uncle), and her oldest brother came to her home. They rebuked her and threatened her.
22. [Guangzhou City, Guangdong Province] Mr. Fang Weixiong and Mr. Weng Qingzhong Tried in Court
Mr. Fang Weixiong and Mr. Weng Qingzhong were arrested by officers from the Tianhe District Domestic Security Division and the Liede Police Station on September 12, 2020. They have been held at the Tianhe District Detention Center, and were tried by the Haizhu District Court on October 29, 2020.
23. [Changchun City, Jilin Province] Zhao Shanying Arrested
Zhao Shanying (gender unknown) was arrested at home on the afternoon of November 26, 2020 by officers from the Erdao District Domestic Security Division. The officers stalked Zhao and followed Zhao home. They ransacked the place and confiscated Falun Gong flyers. Zhao was taken to the Erdao District Police Department that night.
24. [Tianjin] Ms. Gao Fenglan and Her Family Harassed
Ms. Gao Fenglan was harassed at home twice by officers from the Yuexiu Road Police Station at the end of October 2020.
Ms. Gao’s daughter received a harassing call from a community officer in early November 2020. The officer said that her mother's not writing the guarantee statement would jeopardize her and her child’s future. The daughter was recently harassed again at home by agents from the community committee.
25. [Jieyang City, Guangdong Province] Lai Qingfeng Arrested
Lai Qingfeng (gender unknown) in Jiedong County was arrested by officers from the Fengtang Town Police Station, Chao’an County on November 25, 2020.
26. [Zibo City, Shandong Province] Mr. Qu Ke’an Detained
Mr. Qu Ke’an was arrested at home by officers from the Shantou Police Station on November 11, 2020. His home was ransacked. He is being held in the Boshan Detention Center.
27. [Zibo City, Shandong Province] Ms. Yao Jingli Sentenced
Ms. Yao Jingli, 68, was arrested by officers from the Shangcheng Police Station in 2018 after someone reported her when she talked to people about the persecution of Falun Gong. She was released on bail.
Ms. Yao’s case was submitted to the procuratorate by the Shangcheng Police Station in April 2020. She was charged by the Zhangdian District Procuratorate in July 2020. The Zhangdian District Court sentenced Ms. Yao to a year in prison and fined her 2,000 yuan on September 8, 2020. Her appeal was denied.
28. [Anyi County, Jiangxi Province] Three Practitioners Repeatedly Harassed
Mr. Chen Jingyong, Ms. Chen Xiaoju, and Ms. Yu Meilan have been repeatedly harassed by Wang Hui, head of the Anyi County Political and Legal Affairs Committee, and officers from the Domestic Security Division and police stations since August 2020. The harassers asked if they still practiced Falun Gong and threatened to send them to a brainwashing center in October.
The practitioners were harassed again in November. Wang Hui and other officers pressured practitioners to sign and press their fingerprints on documents that slander Falun Gong in front of a camcorder. They threatened to send them to a brainwashing center, and claimed that not complying would jeopardize their children’s jobs.
29. [Bayan County, Heilongjiang Province] Ms. Zhang Fengming Harassed
Ms. Zhang Fengming, a teacher at the Bayan No. 3 High School, was harassed at work by Ma Tengyou from the Bayan County Education Bureau. Ma pressured Ms. Zhang into signing a “guarantee statement” while Yang Zhengang, chancellor of the school, blocked the door and did not allow Ms. Zhang to leave the room.
30. [Changsha City, Hunan Province] Over Ten Practitioners Arrested
Mr. Li Zhigang and other practitioners were arrested at his home on October 27, 2020 while they were reading Zhuan Falun together. Mr. Li is being held at an unknown location. The arrest happened during a Changsha City-wide police raid. Over ten practitioners were arrested during the raid.
31. [Daqing City, Heilongjiang Province] Ms. Feng Yunjuan Harassed
Ms. Feng Yunjuan was harassed again by officers from the Dongguang Police Department on November 26, 2020. They ordered her to sign a repentance statement. She refused.
32. [Gong’an County, Hubei Province] Practitioners Harassed
Ms. Gao Yongli was harassed at home on September 10, 2020, by officers from the Gong’an County Police Department and the Douhuti Police Station, as well as agents from her community.
Ms. Wu Guizhi was photographed by officers from the Douhuti Police Station. Police ordered Ms. Yan Daoxia to write a “guarantee statement.”
The youngest son of over eighty-year-old Ms. Li Xuying was harassed by officers from the police department and the Douhuti Police Station.
Mr. Mao Yuankun, Zhao Shouzhen (gender unknown), and Mr. Mao Qiang were harassed by two officers from the Douhuti Police Station.
33. [Hegang City, Heilongjiang Province] Mr. Wang Liguo Detained Another 14 Days After 15 Days' Detention
Mr. Wang Liguo was arrested by officers from the Nanshan Police Department on October 19, 2020 for talking to people about the persecution of Falun Gong. He was transferred to the Tiexi Police Station. The police searched him, seized over 70 yuan in cash, and handcuffed him the entire night. Five officers from the Nanshan Police Department ransacked his home that night. Mr. Wang was taken to a detention center the next day for 15 days' detention.
Fifteen days later, on November 4, the detention center warden and officers ordered Mr. Wang to sign a document, and threatened him with continuing detention. He refused to sign. He was transferred to a detention house for another 14 days of detention.
34. [Changzhi Ciyt, Shanxi Province] Ms. Liu Huanlan Harassed
Ms. Liu Huanlan is a teacher at Changzhi Children Normal College. She was harassed at work by Wei, the Qin County Political and Legal Affairs Committee secretary, the Political and Security Sector chief of the Qin County Police Department, and two others on the morning of November 5, 2020. The harassers pressured her to write a “guarantee statement.”
35. [Zhongxiang City, Hubei Province] Ms. Fan Mei and Mr. Zhang Chuanhua Detained
Ms. Fan Mei and Mr. Zhang Chuanhua was arrested by officers from the Yingzhong Police Station on October 1, 2020 after someone reported them when they talked to people about the persecution of Falun Gong. Under orders of 610 Office head Gao Qing and Domestic Security Division leaders, the officers forcibly took blood samples from the practitioners and fingerprinted them. They grabbed their hair to videotape them, and then tied them to tiger benches.
Ms. Fan and Mr. Zhang were taken to a detention center for 15 days of detention the next day. When 15 days passed, their families went to pick them up on the morning of October 17. The guards did not let them in. Warden Guo Guoqing was waiting for the arrival of police and Party members from the practitioners’ residential locations and work units. After Jiuli Police Station instructor Shi Qinglin, Shuangqiao Stock Seed Farm CCP secretary Zhou Mingchun, and others came, the practitioners were released. Zhou Mingchun said, “They (Ms. Fan and Mr. Zhang) should be sentenced.”
36. [Chifeng City, Inner Mongolia Autonomous Region] Five Practitioners Harassed
Five practitioners from the Sothengshan District were harassed in early November 2020. They were Mr. Yin (first name unknown) and a male practitioner (name unknown) from Mojiaying Town, Mr. Tian Fengcheng of Beiwazi, Ms. Su Xiuzhen and Ms. Wang Fengru of the Five-Three Brigade. The harassers threatened that they would take the practitioners to a brainwashing center.
