1. [Tangshan City, Hebei Province] Mr. Sun Li Held in Detention Center
Mr. Sun Li is being held in the Tangshan City No. 1 Detention Center. The Lubei District Procuratorate tried to force him to sign the so-called “confession and penalty” document, but he refused.
2. [Ziyang City, Sichuan Province] Ms. Dong Yuying Arrested
Ms. Dong Yuying was recorded on surveillance cameras distributing Falun Gong informational materials on September 29, 2020. She was arrested at home on the morning of October 12. Her home was ransacked.
3. [Weifang City, Shandong Province] Ms. Zhao Min Arrested
Ms. Zhao Min, about 30 years old, from Anqiu City was arrested by officers from the Weifang City Police Department and the 610 Office on October 12, 2020, for browsing overseas websites. Her home was ransacked, and a car, computer, cell phone, and tens of thousands of yuan in her cell phone’s mobile app were confiscated. Her whereabouts are unknown.
4. [Mudanjiang City, Heilongjiang Province] Mr. Wang Xinmin Arrested
Mr. Wang Xinmin, 71, was arrested by officers from the Qixing Police Station on October 13, 2020. The police took him home and ransacked the place.
5. [Liangshan County, Shandong Province] Ms. Sun Xiaoyan Harassed
Party secretary of the Hangang Group Ma Hongyi, deputy director of the Hangang Police Station Liu, and officials from Bao Village went to Ms. Sun Xiaoyan’s home and harassed her on October 10, 2020. They ordered her to go to the county brainwashing center, and said that she would be forced to “transform” if she refused to go there.
6. [Gongzhuling City, Jilin Province] Ms. Liu Guijie Harassed
Officer Zhang Zhanming from the Daling Town Police Station and staff from the town government broke into Ms. Liu Guijie’s home on October 12, 2020. They did not show any ID, and ordered Ms. Liu to sign a guarantee statement and a transformation statement to renounce Falun Gong. They threatened to return every week until she signed.
7. [Qinhuangdao City, Hebei Province] Ms. Li Yaping Held in Detention Center
Ms. Li Yaping from the Shanhaiguan District was intercepted and arrested at a train station on October 1, 2020. She was taken to the Xidajie Police Station. Her home was ransacked.
Ms. Li is being held in the Qinhuangdao Detention Center for 10 days.
8. [Xi’an City, Shaanxi Province] Ms. Jia Ruiling Detained by Court Beyond Legally Allowed Limit
Ms. Jia Ruiling was scheduled to be tried on October 14, 2020, but the Yanta Court announced the postponement of the hearing but gave no further details. The court has detained her beyond the time limit they are legally allowed.
9. [Beijing] Ms. Liu Zixuan and Ms. Ye Linlin Hearing Canceled
Ms. Liu Zixuan from Cangzhou City in Hebei Province and Ms. Ye Linlin from Jinan City in Shandong Province were notified by the Shanhou Court, Haidian District in Beijing that a hearing would be held at 10:00 a.m. on October 13, 2020. However, the court recently notified their lawyers that the hearing had been canceled, and provided no further details.
10. [Jiamusi City, Heilongjiang Province] Ms. Li Xianglian and Ms. Qin Xia Arrested and Released on Bail
Ms. Li Xianglian and Ms. Qin Xia were arrested by officers from the Anqing Police Station when heading out for grocery shopping on October 11, 2020. Their homes were ransacked, and Falun Dafa books, photos of Falun Gong's founder, computers and printers were confiscated.
They were taken to a detention center, but were not admitted. They were forced to pay a deposit of 10,000 yuan before being released on bail of one year on October 12.
11. [Jiaozuo City, Henan Province] Ms. Niu Shurong Detained, Her Daughter Harassed
Ms. Niu Shurong was reported to the police for distributing Falun Gong informational materials. Officers from the Jiaozuo City Police Department went to her home and ordered her to go to the police station, but she refused.
Officers called her daughter to the police station the next day. They threatened her and forced her to sign paperwork.
Ms. Niu was given a five-day administrative detention to be served at home. She was told that she was not allowed to go out to distribute Falun Gong informational materials for three years.
12. [Tianjin] Ms. Li Yajuan’s Family Harassed
Ms. Li Yajuan’s family member received a phone call from the Jixian Police Station on October 12, 2020. The police told the person that Ms. Li had to sign a guarantee statement to renounce Falun Gong.
13. [Baoding City, Hebei Province] Ms. Wu Xiucha and Her Son Harassed
Huayuanli Residential Community personnel and Yimian Police Station officers went to Ms. Wu Xiucha’s home and harassed her on October 1, 2020.
Without Ms. Wu’s knowledge, the police called her eldest son to the police station and told him to write a guarantee statement on her behalf. The police threatened that if he did not write it, his mother would be taken to a brainwashing center and his younger brother, who works for a public institution, would not be allowed to go to work. Her eldest son had no choice but to write the guarantee statement.
14. [Hengshan County, Hunan Province] Ms. Bian Xuemei Held in Detention Center
Ms. Bian Xuemei from Kaiyun Town was arrested at home by several police officers on September 23, 2020. She is being held in the Hengyang City No. 1 Detention Center.
15. [Leiyang City, Hunan Province] Ms. Li Huimin and Ms. Xie Zhaoya Detained
Ms. Li Huimin and Ms. Xie Zhaoya were arrested by officers from the Longtang Town Police Station on October 12, 2020, for talking to people about Falun Gong.
Ms. Li’s husband Mr. Zhang Xinwu drove to the police station to seek their release. Police station director Li knew that Ms. Li and Ms. Xie were good people, but refused to release them on the grounds that they were “anti-party and anti-society,” and detained them in the police station.
16. [Beijing] Three Practitioners Held in Detention
Ms. Wang Lei from the Dongcheng District was arrested by officers from the Dewai Police Station in the Xicheng District on May 9, 2020. She was taken to the Xicheng Detention Center.
Ms. Zheng Cuilan and Ms. Ren Shuhua from the Yanqing District were arrested by officers from the Zhangshanying Police Station on September 28. Their homes were ransacked, and Falun Dafa books and materials were confiscated. Both practitioners were placed under criminal detention.
17. [Tianjin] Ms. Ci Shumei and Ms. Li Hongyu Harassed
Ms. Ci Shumei and Ms. Li Hongy were harassed at home by two government officials from Meichang Town, and Wang Ruifu from the Judicial Office in the Wuqing District in late September 2020. Ms. Ci and Ms. Li were told to sign guarantee statements renouncing Falun Gong, but they refused.
Several people from the village committee went to Ms. Ci’s home on October 11, but she wasn't there.
18. [Wuhan City, Hubei Province] Practitioner Zhou Released on Bail
Officers from the Wujiashan Police Station in the Dongxihu District harassed practitioner Zhou (gender unknown) on July 15, 2020. They ransacked Zhou's home, and confiscated several computers, printers, and paper bills with Falun Gong information written on them.
Zhou was released on bail for one year.
19. [Kuancheng County, Hebei Province] Four Practitioners Harassed
Ms. Kong Yuqin from Dashizhuzi Township in Kuancheng County was taken to the village office by Dongliyuan Village Party secretary Shi Quanyu on June 12, 2020. She was told to sign a guarantee statement renouncing Falun Gong.
Party secretary of the Dashizhuzi Political and Legal Affairs Committee Wang Shuai and Shi Quanyu went to elderly Ms. Zhao Guirong’s home and harassed her on June 12.
Wang Shuai took Ms. Kong and others to the county office to verify their situation and sign paperwork on July 22.
Wang Shuai harassed Ms. Zhao and Ms. Kong again on September 21.
Wang Shuai and Xiliyuan Village Party secretary Guo Ying went to the homes of Ms. Shi Fengping and Mr. Shi Shouzhu on the morning of September 28, and asked if they were still practicing Falun Gong. The two practitioners were told to write and sign guarantee statements, but they refused.
20. [Shangqiu City, Henan Province] Ms. Chen Xia Officially Arrested
Ms. Chen Xia from Yongcheng City was arrested for distributing Falun Gong informational materials. She was officially placed under arrest. Her case has been turned over to the procuratorate.
21. [Changchun City, Jilin Province] Thirty Two Practitioners Harassed
32 practitioners were harassed. They are Ms. Zhang Huiying, Ms. Liu Liying, Ms. Sun Yajun, Ms. Wei Caiyan, Ms. Liu Yaqing, Mr. Lu Xianjie, Ms. Lu Guixia, Ms. Li Guixiang, Mr. Liu Ming, Ms. Shi Zhipei, Ms. Cheng Yuqin, Ms. Jiang Xiuyu, Ms. Yang Hongyan, Ms. Wang Xiubo, Ms. Wang Lanxiang, Ms. Wang Shuqin, Ms. Wang Guofen, Mr. Lang Baiming, Mr. Hu Yunpeng, Mr. Wei Hongjiu, Ms. Li Yanhua, Ms. Wang Shaoyu, Ms. Li Xiuqin, Ms. Zhang, Mr. Tian Rukai, Ms. Dai Yaoqi, Ms. Yu Meihua, Ms. Tang Guizhen, Ms. Zhang Guiyun, Mr. Wang Dianhua, Ms. Hu Yawen, and Ms. Gong Xiaoli.
