(Minghui.org) Today's news from China includes incidents of persecution that took place in 16 cities or counties in 10 provinces where at least 37 practitioners were recently persecuted for their belief.

1. [Linyi City, Shandong Province] Ms. Wang Zengling and Ms. Liu Yexin Formally Arrested

Ms. Wang Zengling and Ms. Liu Yexin from Yishui County were arrested by officers from Cuijiayu Police Station on September 29, 2020. Their homes were ransacked. They were formally placed under arrest the next day and are being held in the Linyi Detention Center.

2. [Shijiazhuang City, Hebei Province] Three Female Practitioners Detained

Three female practitioners were arrested by officers from the Dongli Police Station on the morning of October 15, 2020, for talking to people about the persecution of Falun Gong. Their homes were ransacked. Their families received criminal detention notifications.

3. [Pingliang City, Gansu Province] Ms. Li Ya Facing Trial

Ms. Li Ya from Huating County was arrested by officers from the Jianlan Road Police Station on May 8, 2019, for talking to people about the persecution of Falun Gong. Her home was ransacked. She was taken to the Qilihe District Detention Center at 1:00 a.m and transferred to the Lanzhou City No. 1 Detention Center on May 19, 2019.

The Qilihe Court accepted her case and later passed it to the Chengguan District Court.

Ms. Li Ya is due to be tried in the Chengguan Court at 10:00 a.m. on October 15, 2020.

4. [Chengde City, Hebei Province] Mr. Wang Zhong’s Home Ransacked

Kuancheng County practitioner Mr. Wang Zhong’s home was ransacked by 610 Office agents, Domestic Security Division and police station officers, and people from the work unit that he retired from. They ransacked his home and confiscated his notebook computer, printer, and other personal belongings.

5. [Shijiazhuang City, Hebei Province] Ms. Yu Fengrong's Husband Harassed

Ms. Yu Fengrong’s husband received a call from a community agent on September 24, 2020, demanding that Ms. Yu go to the community office to fill a form. Ms. Yu refused to go.

6. [Benxi City, Liaoning Province] Three Practitioners Arrested

Mr. Wu Chengjun was arrested in the early hours of October 15, 2020.

Ms. Li Xiaoxia from Benxi County was arrested by Xiaoshi Police Station officers in the early hours of October 15. Her home was ransacked and her personal belongings were confiscated.

Ms. Zhang Guirong from Benxi was arrested by officers from Guanyinge Police Station in the early hours of October 15.

7. [Wuhan City, Hubei Province] Mr. Ouyang Haiwen's Pension Withheld

Mr. Ouyang Haiwen was incarcerated in Shayang Prison for four years for appealing in Beijing for the right to practice Falun Gong. He was released in 2015.

His sister paid his social security contributions for 15 years. He is entitled to receive a pension of 2,800 yuan each month. However, the Qiaokou District Social Security Bureau did not pay him any pension in September 2020 and extorted over 130,000 yuan from him.

8. [Qinhuangdao City, Hebei Province] Ms. Song Chunxiang and Ms. Ma Yuhua Arrested

Ms. Song Chunxiang and Ms. Ma Yuhua (one of them is 77) were arrested by officers from Baitaling Police Station on the morning of October 14, 2020.

9. [Mishan City, Heilongjiang Province] Four Practitioners Arrested, Three of Them Detained

Ms. Shuai Yujuan, Ms. Zhou Guangyan, Ms. Chen Lihua, and Ms. Sun Guiyu were monitored and tracked by Mishan 110 agents through the Sky Eyes Monitoring System. They were reported to the No. 3 Police Station and were arrested on October 11, 2020.

They were forced to undergo a physical exam later that day. Ms. Sun was released because she had high blood pressure. The other three were detained for 12 days.

10. [Tangshan City, Hebei Province] Three Practitioners Harassed

Ms. Wang Xiuyan and Ms. Li Ruiying were harassed at home by officer Ouyang Zhancun and two others from the Ciyutuo Town Police Station on the evening of October 15, 2020. The officers questioned if they still practiced Falun Gong and copied the contacts from their cell phones.

The officers later went to Mr. Song Zuoqiang’s home, but he wasn't there.

11. [Huairen City, Shanxi Province] Mr. Guo Jianhai and Mr. Ji Quanchun Held in Brainwashing Center

Two police cars arrived at Mr. Guo Jianhai's clinic on the morning of October 15, 2020, and took him away. Mr. Guo was later able to call his wife and tell her that he had been arrested and taken to the Shuozhou City Brainwashing Center. A neighborhood committee agent had already called his family.

Mr. Ji Quanchun was arrested on his way to work in the afternoon. Police took him back to his home and ransacked the place. They took him to the Shuozhou Brainwashing Center and said that he would be held there for 20 days.

12. [Yanshan County, Hebei Province] Ms. Li Fumin Detained, Her Husband Harassed

Ms. Li Fumin, 50, was arrested on August 22, 2020, for talking to people about the persecution of Falun Gong. She was detained for five days. On the date of her release, Qingyun Town government agents, Qingyun Police Station officers, and the Shijia Village Communist Party secretary admonished her and demanded that she sign a repentance statement. Ms. Li refused.

They went to her home on October 2 and October 10, harassed her, and took photos of her. They called her husband several times and harassed him. Under tremendous pressure, her husband asked for a divorce.

13. [Xianyang City, Shaanxi Province] Ms. Xu Lanxia Arrested

Ms. Xu Lanxia was arrested on October 15, 2020, after someone reported her for distributing Falun Gong fliers on October 14.

14. [Liaoyuan City, Jilin Province] Ms. Dong Yuqin’s Case Submitted to Court

Ms. Dong Yuqin was arrested by two people outside her apartment building on July 13, 2020. Her case has been submitted to the court.

15. [Jinan City, Shandong Province] Mr. Li Weizong Arrested

Mr. Li Weizong was arrested on the early morning of October 14, 2020, when he was working in a brick factory. His whereabouts are unknown.

16. [Jiamusi City, Heilongjiang Province] Nine Practitioners Arrested

Ms. Li Xiurong, Ms. Zhang Shuhua, Ms. Xiaoqin, Ms. Liu Lijie, Ms. Yu Xiulan, Ms. Shan Yuqin, Ms. Cai Rong, Ms. Cui Shengyun, and a 92-year old practitioner were arrested at the 92-year old's home on the afternoon of October 14, 2020, when they were studying Zhuan Falun (the main book of Falun Gong) together.

The Jiamusi Domestic Security Division and dozens of officers from the Xiangyang Police Department and various police stations raided the residence. Officers removed a lot of items and put them in the police cars. The officers then ransacked each practitioner’s home.

17. [Gulin County, Sichuan Province] Ms. Liu Daiqiong Harassed

Ms. Liu Daiqiong was harassed by Zhao Wei, Wu Chuan, and another officer from the Taiping Police Station on the evening of October 5, 2020. The officers searched her home and confiscated a picture of Falun Gong's founder, Falun Gong books, and other materials.

Ms. Liu was taken to the police station for interrogation. The officers questioned where she got the materials. Ms. Liu was later taken back home.
