1. [Ganzhou City, Jiangxi Province] Three Practitioners Arrested
The Zhanggong District Domestic Security Division sent members of the Urban Management Division, on May 14, 2020, to follow and monitor Ms. Gu Xiufang at her residence in 24-hour shifts. They were stationed there until July 2, 2020.
Officers including Zhong Hang from the Ganzhou City Domestic Security Division went to Ms. Gu’s home and ransacked the place on July 8. They confiscated Falun Dafa books and audio players. Zhong and Liu Wei, a local police officer, took Ms. Gu to the Nanwai Police Station for interrogation on August 11. Her pension has now been suspended for four months.
Ms. Wen Xiaohua, 64, was arrested at home by Zhong and other officers on June 9, 2020. Her home was ransacked, and photos of the founder of Falun Gong were confiscated. She was taken to the Shuinan Police Station, where she was interrogated. The officers also took samples of her blood. She was released four hours later. The police threatened her family and told them that they had to keep her under strict control.
Ms. Zhu Fengying, 84, was arrested at home by Zhong and other officers on the afternoon of August 11, 2020. Her home was ransacked, and photos of the founder of Falun Gong, Zhuan Falun, and audio players were confiscated. Ms. Zhu was taken to the Dongwai Police Station. She was released around 8 p.m. that evening.
2. [Jilin City, Jilin Province] Eighteen Practitioners Held in Jilin Province Women’s Prison
Practitioners currently held in the Jilin Province Women’s Prison include: Ms. Lei Xiuxiang, Ms. Li Junwei, Ms. Li Yuhua, Ms. Zhang Fengmei, Ms. Wu Jianying, Ms. Liu Suzhen, Ms. Zhang Yazhen, Ms. Li Liwen, Ms. Wang Guisuo, Ms. Cao Yanfen, Ms. Dang Yanhua, Ms. Sun Yingjun, Ms. Che Pingping, Ms. Zhou Xiaoli, Ms. Lian Jinhua, Ms. Yang Hongyan, Ms. Zhou Fengxia, and Ms. Wang Yuping.
3. [Chuxiong City, Yunnan Province] Ms. Ma Jinyu Sentenced; Ms. Yin Lingyu Tried
Ms. Ma Jinyu was arrested and her home was ransacked by officers from the Chuxiong City Domestic Security Division on November 8, 2019. She was held in the Chuxiong City Detention Center. She was tried over a video conference by the Dayao County Court in July 2020. She was given a one-year prison term on September 16.
Ms. Yin Lingyu was arrested by Chuxiong City police on March 16, 2020. She was held in the Chuxiong City Detention Center. She was tried over a video conference by the Dayao County Court on September 22.
4. [Pengzhou City, Sichuan Province] Ms. Zhou Shanhui Arrested
Ms. Zhou Shanhui was arrested by officers from the Tianpeng Town Police Station on September 8, 2020. No one has heard anything about her for 17 days.
5. [Chengdu City, Sichuan Province] Mr. Yang Congqing and Mr. Xie Caile Arrested
Mr. Yang Congqing and Mr. Xie Caile from the Xindu District were arrested by officers from the Xiangfu Town Police Station, Qingbaijiang District, on the morning of September 23, 2020. They were brought home by their families that afternoon. Mr. Xie’s home was ransacked.
6. [Daqing City, Heilongjiang Province] Ms. Jiao Rong Harassed
Lanyu and Liu, directors of the Longyuan Residential Community in Zhaoyuan County, and three officers from the Zhaoyuan County Police Department, went to Ms. Jiao Rong’s home and harassed her on September 20, 2020. They claimed to be conducting a household survey. They tried to force her to sign the three statements renouncing Falun Gong. They threatened her that she had to sign to avoid arrest. They also threatened to stop her salary if she did not sign. Ms. Jiao did not cooperate.
The officers ransacked her home and took photos. They confiscated 20 Falun Dafa books and photos of the founder of Falun Gong. The officers dragged Ms. Jiao from upstairs to downstairs. They pushed her into the police car, and took her to the police department, where they attempted to force her to sign and fingerprint paperwork. She did not cooperate. An officer grabbed her left hand, and director Liu pressed her right hand for fingerprinting. The officers took her home and dropped her downstairs at her apartment building at around 1 p.m.
7. [Xinyu City, Jiangxi Province] Ms. Gao Jufang Taken to Detention Center
Ms. Gao Jufang was reported to the police and arrested when she talked to people about Falun Gong on August 5, 2020. Her home was ransacked, and photos of the founder of Falun Gong and Dafa books were confiscated. She was taken to a detention center. Details of her situation there are not yet clear.
8. [Songyuan City, Jilin Province] Mr. Sun Zhanguo Sentenced to Prison
Mr. Sun Zhanguo from Changzi Village, Qian’an County, was reported to the police when he talked to people about Falun Gong and wrote, “Falun Dafa is Great” on telephone poles in a village in September 2019. He was arrested by officers from the Oil Production Plant Police Station. He has been held in the Qian’an County Prison for a year. He was recently given a five-year prison term.
9. [Linzhou City, Henan Province] Ms. Qiao Ying Detained
Ms. Qiao Ying from Dongyao Town was arrested by officers from the Linqi Police Station on September 7, 2020. Her home was ransacked that evening. She was detained for 12 days.
10. [Harbin City, Heilongjiang Province] Mr. Hao Zhendong Harassed
Mr. Hao Zhendong from Xinfa Town, Daoli District, was continuously harassed at home by officers from the Xinfa Police Station. They demanded he sign the three statements and tried to “transform” him.
11. [Dalian City, Liaoning Province] Three Practitioners Held in Detention Center
Ms. Zhang Baoling, Ms. Jiang Shubo, and another elderly practitioner from Fuzhoucheng Town, Wafangdian City, were arrested by officers from the Santai Township Police Station when they talked to people about Falun Gong in Santai Township on September 22, 2020. They are being held in the Wafangdian City Detention Center.
12. [Leshan City, Sichuan Province] Ms. Zheng Changhua’s Home Ransacked
Ms. Zheng Changhua’s home in Chezi Town, Shizhong District, was ransacked by officers from the Shizhong District Domestic Security Division on May 8, 2020. Copies of Minghui Weekly were confiscated. When the officers attempted to take her Falun Dafa books, Ms. Zheng said no. They left without taking them.
13. [Tianjin] Ms. Wang Changyu Officially Arrested
Ms. Wang Changyu, in her 50s, was arrested by officers from the Xinlicun Police Station when she talked to people about Falun Gong in July 2020. Her home was ransacked. She was officially arrested in August.
14. [Changchun City, Jilin Province] Ms. Li Weiqing Detained
Ms. Li Weiqing is a teacher at Jilin University, and lives in the Gongdajiayuan Residential Community, Changchun High-tech Zone.
When her husband opened the door to head out to work at 6 a.m. on September 24, 2020, some plainclothes officers from the Guilin Road Police Station who were staked out there rushed in and arrested her.
The officers confiscated photos of the founder of Falun Gong and six Dafa books. Ms. Li is being held in the Weizigou Detention Center for 10 days of detention.
15. [Huai’an City, Jiangsu Province] Ms. Wang Huafen and Ms. Li Guiying Face Trial
Ms. Wang Huafen and Ms. Li Guiying will be tried on September 28, 2020.
16. [Dandong City, Liaoning Province] Ms. Jiang Li and Ms. Ning Shuyan Arrested
Ms. Jiang Li in Beijingzi Town, Donggang City, was arrested at home by officers from the Beijingzi Town Police Station on August 26, 2020. She was taken to the Dandong Detention Center, which refused to admit her. She was then brought back to the police station. She was taken to the detention center again the following day. It was reported that her case was turned over to the Zhen’an District Procuratorate.
Ms. Ning Shuyan was arrested by officers from the Beijingzi Town Police Station when she talked to people about Falun Gong at the Beijingzi farmers market on September 11, 2020. Ms. Ning has been displaced for over 10 years and has little contact with her family. It is not clear where she is being held.
17. [Handan City, Hebei Province] Ms. Guo Xiaoqing’s Family Harassed Several Times
Wang Zhanxian, Party secretary of the Dongbao Village, Guantao County, phoned Ms. Guo Xiaoqing’s father on September 22, 2020, and told him to go to the village committee office. After he got there, Wang asked him for photos of Ms. Guo, which he refused to provide.
Wang called Ms. Guo’s father again on September 24, and wanted photos of her. This was the fourth time Ms. Guo’s father has been harassed recently.
18. [Hengshui City, Hebei Province] Ms. Hou Bianqin Harassed
Hou Yufeng, deputy village head of Houlin Village, Hezhuang Township, and other commune committee personnel went to Ms. Hou Bianqin’s home and harassed her in August 2020. They demanded she sign a statement renouncing Falun Gong. They threatened that if she did not sign, her granddaughter would not be allowed to join the People’s Liberation Army.
19. [Linjiang City, Jilin Province] Ms. Zhang Arrested; Ms. Cao Arrested
Elderly Ms. Zhang was arrested by officers from the Linjiang City Domestic Security Division on September 16, 2020. Her home was ransacked. She was forced to sign paperwork. She has returned home.
Officers from the Linjiang City Domestic Security Division went to Ms. Cao’s home and ransacked the place on September 24, 2020. They threatened to arrest her if they found any Falun Dafa books.
20. [Shijiazhuang City, Hebei Province] Mr. Qi Bucheng Harassed Several Times
Cai Erjun, an officer from the Wujiayao Police Station, Jingxing County, and officials at the town and township levels went to Mr. Qi Bucheng’s home for harassment on August 2, 2020. Mr. Qi was not at home; only his wife was there. They ransacked the place, and confiscated two fans with Falun Gong information painted on them and over 20 keepsakes.
Cai and other people located Mr. Qi and his wife when the couple was distributing Falun Gong materials at the Wujiayao farmers' market on August 31. They attempted to grab the couple’s bags. When the couple stopped them, they left.
After Mr. Qi returned home, Cai and the two officials, at the town and township levels, drove to his home in a police car. They demanded Mr. Qi sign paperwork. They also photographed him. They threatened Mr. Qi not to distribute Falun Gong materials anywhere, or they would take away all his items related to Dafa.
21. [Beijing] Ms. Li Ruiling Faces Trial
Ms. Li Ruiling in Chaoyang District will be tried by the Dongcheng District Court on September 30, 2020. Her family members applied to attend, and were refused.
22. [Wuhan City, Hubei Province] Ms. Zhou Hongjuan Harassed
Zhang Yan and other people from the Qintai Residential Community, Hanyang District, went to Ms. Zhou Hongjuan’s home on September 26, 2020. They told her to declare that she would stop practicing Falun Gong. Ms. Zhou refused. They threatened that her refusal would adversely impact her grandchild’s future.
Zhang called the head of the district 610 Office, who demanded Ms. Zhou slander Dafa. Ms. Zhou firmly refused.
