(Minghui.org) Today's news from China includes incidents of persecution that took place in 19 cities or counties in 13 provinces, where at least 55 practitioners were recently persecuted for their belief.

1. [Nanjing City, Jiangsu Province] 32 Practitioners Arrested

Thirty-two practitioners were arrested on the afternoon of September 13, 2020, by officer Fan Chengzhong from the Comprehensive Management Office at Beixin District Police Department, officer Xue Zhiqiang from Xiejiadian Police Station, and other officers. Police also ransacked the practitioners’ homes. Ms. Li Ailing, Ms. Wang Guiding, Ms. Lin Xia, Ms. Hu Hengying, Ms. Huang Yumei, Ms. Li Zhuying, Ms. Shen Chuanfang, and Mr. Gao were among those arrested.

2. [Shenzhen City, Guangdong Province] Additional Information about Harassment of Mr. Chen Mingchuan

Mr. Chen Mingchuan was harassed for two and a half hours by community officer Li from Yuehai Police Station on September 18, 2020. Li came with an attorney. Li commanded Mr. Chen to resume the “chatting format” brainwashing hosted by Li. The attorney brought a copy of the Supreme People’s Court and Supreme People’s Procuratorate Interpretation of Article 300 of the Criminal Law, threatened to pressure Mr. Chen's wife and his work unit, and tried to coerce him into complying.

3. [Ziyang City, Sichuan Province] Additional Information about Arrest of Ms. Li Xiuying and Mr. Yang Zhiqiang

Ms. Li Xiuying and her husband, Mr. Yang Zhiqiang, were arrested at Ziyang City Government Service Center by officers from the High-Tech Industry Zone Police Department on the morning of July 10, 2020. Someone reported them distributing Falun Gong flyers there. The couple's home was ransacked.

The officers seized over 100 Falun Gong flyers. Mr. Yang was released on bail. Ms. Li was officially arrested. The officers deceived and coerced their daughter and family into falsely accusing other practitioners.

4. [Shenyang City, Liaoning Province] Ms. Zhang Jing Harassed

Ms. Zhang Jing was harassed at home by the village Communist Party secretary on September 11, 2020. The secretary tried to persuade her to sign a repentance statement. Ms. Zhang refused. The secretary said any practitioners who do not sign it will be taken to an “ideological education school” (brainwashing center for practitioners) and they will stay there until they sign it.

5. [Mudanjiang City, Heilongjiang Province] Ms. Qi Shuyun Harassed

Ms. Qi Shuyun received a harassing call on September 14, 2020. The caller asked if she still practiced Falun Gong, and asked her to sing a guarantee statement. Ms. Qi refused. Ten minutes later, the caller knocked at her door. Ms. Qi did not answer.

6. [Bazhou City, Hebei Province] Ms. Wu Hongchuan Harassed

Ms. Wu Hongchuan was harassed at home by two agents from Nanmeng Town Judiciary on the morning of September 18, 2020. They demanded that she sign a guarantee statement.

7. [Kangbao County, Hebei Province] Ms. Yue Jianli Harassed Twice

Ms. Yue Jianli was harassed at home in mid-May 2020. Dahengdian Village Communist Party secretary Li Zhishan, then mayor Wang Gong, and director of Judiciary Yu Zhigang forced Ms. Yue’s husband, Mr. Zhang Zhijun, to lead them home to harass Ms. Yue. They threatened to take Ms. Yue to a brainwashing center. Ms. Yue resisted. Li took pictures against her will.

Ms. Yue was harassed at home again on September 12, 2020, by Li Zhishan, mayor Ren Fa, and mayor Liang Wenjun. They again threatened to take Ms. Yue to a brainwashing center. Ms. Yue again resisted. Li again took pictures against her will.

8. [Jinhua City, Zhejiang Province] Mr. Cheng Feng Harassed

Mr. Cheng Feng was photographed and harassed by officers from Jiangnan Police Department's Domestic Security Division on the morning of August 25, 2020. Several days later, his work unit called him and threatened to reduce his pension, starting in September, and to withhold his pension if he was imprisoned.

9. [Changchun City, Jilin Province] Ms. Zhang Huiying and Ms. Liu Liying Harassed

Ms. Zhang Huiying’s daughter got harassing calls from Tuanjie Police Station and the neighborhood committee on September 14, 2020. The callers told her to have Ms. Zhang go to the neighborhood committee and sign a guarantee statement. Ms. Zhang did not comply.

Ms. Liu Liying’s brother received a call from Li Xiang at Gongnong Police Station on September 15, 2020. Li asked him to have Ms. Liu go to the police station and fill out a form, and claimed that she would be left alone after that. Ms. Liu did not comply.

10. [Qichun County, Hubei Province] Ms. Han Shanhe Arrested

Ms. Han Shanhe was arrested and taken to Wuxue City Detention Center by officers from Chidong Town Police Station on September 17, 2020. The officers tried to coerce Ms. Han into writing a guarantee statement. Ms. Han refused.

11. [Tangshan City, Hebei Province] Mr. Liu Zhaoshan and Ms. Huang Yuwen Harassed

Mr. Liu Zhaoshan received two harassing calls at work from Linying Road Police Station on September 14, 2020. The caller claimed to have “stopped monitoring” him and requested that he report to the police station, make a written statement, and sign a guarantee statement. Mr. Liu refused. Three officers went to his home that evening and harassed and photographed him.

Ms. Huang Yuwen was harassed at home by officers from Linying Road Police Station on September 18, 2020. An officer was videotaping with a law enforcement recorder and was stopped by Ms. Huang. The officers asked if she still practiced Falun Gong and requested that she make a written statement and sign a guarantee statement. Ms. Huang refused.

12. [Anshun City, Guizhou Province] Ms. Lin Lanfen Imprisoned

Ms. Lin Lanfen, 73, was sentenced to six years in prison. She was also deprived of her pension.

13. [Changsha City, Hunan Province] Ms. Deng Juan Detained

Ms. Deng Juan, 45, was arrested at home by several officers from Guihuaping Police Station on September 18, 2020. Her home was ransacked, and officers took Falun Gong books, a picture of Falun Gong's founder, copies of Minghui Weekly, and other Falun Gong materials. She was taken to Changsha City No. 4 Detention Center for criminal detention.

14. [Jing County, Hebei Province] Ms. Zhao Shuru Detained

Ms. Zhou Shuru is detained at Jing County Detention Center.

15. [Jinan City, Shandong Province] Ms. Zhang Peimei Harassed

Ms. Zhang Peimei was harassed by agent Liu from the Yanzhuang Town government and officer Wang from the police station at the end of August 2020. She was taken by force to the village committee. They scolded her, threatened her, forced her to sign papers, and photographed her.

16. [Beijing] Ms. Xu Wanxiang Detained

Ms. Xu Wanxiang, in her 50s, was arrested in mid-September 2020. She is detained at Changping Detention Center.

17. [Wuhu City, Anhui Province] Ms. Qi Cuixia Under House Arrest

Ms. Qu Cuixia, 78, was sentenced to three years in prison and fined 10,000 yuan by Yijiang District Court on August 12, 2020. She was taken to Wuhu City Detention Center, but the center refused to accept her. She is under house arrest.

18. [Tianjin] Ms. Han Xiuhua, Mr. Wang Fengyan, and Their Son Under Surveillance

Ms. Han Xiuhua, her husband, Mr. Wang Fengyan, and their son were arrested by officers from Baigutun Police Station, Tianjin and Wuqing District police force, led by village Communist Party secretary Guo Shijian, on September 17, 2020. They were held at Baigutun Police Station for interrogation until 7 p.m. They remain under surveillance by police.

19. [Cangzhou City, Hebei Province] Mr. Ma Zhiyan and Ms. Xing Huanxing Harassed

Mr. Ma Zhiyan’s father was harassed over the phone and on WeChat by their community Communist Party secretary. The secretary pressured the father to persuade Mr. Ma Zhiyan and his wife, Ms. Xing Huanxing, to write guarantee statements, saying their names would be removed from the network afterwards. Mr. Ma and Ms. Xing rejected the request.
