(Minghui.org) I started to practice Falun Gong in 1996. All my ailments were soon gone and my body changed completely.
Before I practiced Falun Gong, I had many health problems, including chronic encephalitis, duodenal ulcer, and severe arthritis. I had headaches all the time, no appetite, and couldn't walk by myself. I went to many hospitals and spent more than 10,000 yuan on different treatments, but nothing changed. I felt I had reached the end of my life—I didn't want to live anymore.
One day I thought that, since I had given all my money to my children, I had nothing to worry about. Let me just look at the sky and the earth one last time before I died.
My apartment was on the seventh floor. When I looked down from the building, I saw a group of people holding their arms up. I wondered what exercise they were doing. My instinct drove me to take a closer look. I couldn't walk, so I crawled down to the first floor. It took me more than two hours.
When I dragged myself to the spot, two people came over to help me up. I asked them, “Can these exercises cure me?”
One of them replied, “They do not cure disease, but Master helps us clean up our bodies.”
I didn't understand what that meant. Since the exercises didn't cure any disease, I said I didn't want to learn them.
He said, “But you can try.”
Two people helped me get to a house and taught me the four standing exercises. Right after that, I realize that I could stand by myself. I couldn't hold back the tears that came to my eyes. Then I could walk by using the wall for support. It only took me half an hour to get back to my apartment on the seventh floor.
I started to practice Falun Gong, and 14 days later, I could hold over ten pounds of flour in one hand and over ten pounds of oil in the other and climb up to the seventh floor. All my ailments were gone. I never imagined that my body could be so light.
Falun Dafa gave me a second life. I have been happy every day since. Twenty years have passed. With Master's help, doing the three things well, and verifying the Fa, many amazing things have happened. Here is one of them.
After the Chinese Communist Party launched the brutal persecution of Falun Gong in July 1999, like many other practitioners, I went to Beijing to appeal in December 2000. When I arrived at Tiananmen Square, I opened a banner that said “Falun Dafa is good.”
I shouted out loud from the bottom of my heart, “Falun Dafa is good! Truthfulness-Compassion-Forbearance is good!” Because of this, I was taken to a local police precinct and interrogated like a criminal. I stayed calm and told them my story—what Falun Gong was, how I started to practice it, and how my health improved.
I told them why Master taught people such a great Fa and that I hoped they could clearly tell right from wrong and good from evil. I also encouraged them not to follow the Party to do what was wrong so that they would not incur retribution in the future.
I talked to them for three hours. They got angry several times and acted as if they were going to beat me, but somehow they didn't. Gradually, their anger melted away. Finally, they all just sat in their chairs and couldn't move.
They looked like they felt very bad. The director told me that he tried to lift his eyebrow to signal to a prisoner beat me, but his eye hurt so much he couldn't move it. It was an unbelievable day. Not only could he not open his eyes, he couldn't even move. It was as though someone was pressing him against the table. How could it be? He couldn't understand it at all.
I told him that it was because Master saw that he still had some kindness in him. “Master was warning you not to commit crimes against Dafa practitioners. You don't want your life to end horribly.”
The director listened and became very nice. His fierce expression was gone. He even told the cafeteria to prepare some food for me.
Before the director released me, he gave me his phone number. He told me again and again, “Please come see me the next time you are in Beijing. At that time, we will be fellow practitioners.” We both were excited and had tears in our eyes.
