(Minghui.org) Today's news from China includes incidents of persecution that took place in 17 cities or counties in 12 provinces. According to this report, 5 Falun Gong practitioners were subjected to mistreatment during their detention, and at least 27 were illegally arrested.

1. [Changsha City, Hunan Province] Ms. Yang Tianliu Taken to Prison

Ms. Yang Tianliu was sentenced to a three-year prison term by the Changsha County Court on March 3, 2017. She appealed, but the second trial did not take place.

Ms. Yang was taken to the Changsha City Women's Prison on June 14.

2. [Fushun City, Liaoning Province] Mr. Li Fei Arrested

Mr. Li Fei was arrested on June 23, 2017, for talking to people about Falun Gong. He was interrogated.

3. [Yantai City, Shandong Province] Five Practitioners Arrested

Ms. Li Yujun, Ms. Ding Chongju, Ms. Wang Fuying, Ms. Han Xia, and Ms. Luan Yanping were arrested at Ms. Li's home when they were studying the Falun Gong teachings together on the afternoon of July 5, 2017.

The five practitioners were taken to Xinjia Police Station.

Ms. Ding and Ms. Wang were taken home by their families that night.

Ms. Han, Ms. Luan, and Ms. Li were taken to the Zhangjiagou Detention Center in Longkou City for ten days of detention. The detention center refused to accept Ms. Han after she failed the physical exam. She has returned home.

4. [Changchun City, Jilin Province] Ms. Yang Fengyuan Sentenced to a Three-Year Prison Term

Ms. Yang Fengyuan was sentenced to a three-year prison term by the Jiutai District Court.

5. [Panzhihua City, Sichuan Province] Ms. Chen Heqiong Arrested

Ms. Chen Heqiong, a former employee of the Silk Company in the Renhe District, was arrested on July 2, 2017, for distributing Falun Gong materials.

6. [Wenshui County, Shanxi Province] Mr. Cheng Hao Detained

Mr. Cheng Hao was arrested at his home by several Jiaocheng County police on the afternoon of July 2, 2017. He is being held in Jiaocheng.

7. [Changchun City, Jilin Province] Mr. Wang Minghui Taken Into Custody

Mr. Wang Minghui, from Housandaogou Village, Erdaogou Village, Halahai Town, Nong'an County, was arrested at his home by officers from the Halahai Town Police Department on July 6, 201. He is being held in the police department.

8. [Liaoyuan City, Jilin Province] Ms. Zhang Wanrong and Her Husband Mr. Zhou Gang Detained

Ms. Zhang Wanrong and her husband Mr. Zhou Gang from Cailan Village, Shiyi Township, Dongliao County, were arrested by Li Jing and other officers from the Dongliao County Police Department on June 29, 2017.

The two practitioners were taken to a detention center. Ms. Zhang was held for 15 days.

9. [Chaozhou City, Guangdong Province] Ms. Xu Ruifen Sentenced to a Two-Year-and-Six-Month Prison Term

Ms. Xu Ruifen was sentenced to a two-year-and-six-month prison term by the Chao'an District Court.

10. [Zhuhai City, Guangdong Province] Ms. Chi Jing Taken to Brainwashing Center

Ms. Chi Jing was arrested by officers from a police station in the Xiangzhou District on June 22, 2017. She was taken to the Sanshui Brainwashing Center.

11. [Changsha City, Hunan Province] Ms. Deng Juan and Ms. Liao Detained

Ms. Deng Juan, in her forties, and Ms. Liao were arrested on the afternoon of July 3, 2017, for talking to people about Falun Gong in Changsha County.

Both practitioners are being held in the Changsha County Detention Center for 15 days of detention.

12. [Binzhou City, Shandong Province] Mr. Wang Xinzhong Detained

Mr. Wang Xinzhong from Huimin County was arrested by officers from the Zaohuli Township on July 1, 2017, for talking to people about Falun Gong in Fanjiaji Farmers' Market, Zaohuli Township.

Mr. Wang is being held in the Huimin County Police Department's Detention Center.

13. [Fushun City, Liaoning Province] Ms. Chen Yanyu Sentenced to Prison

Ms. Chen Yanyu was sentenced to a two-year prison term by the Xinfu District Court. She hired a lawyer and appealed to the Intermediate Court, but the court upheld the original verdict.

14. [Laixi City, Shandong Province] Ms. Liu Zhonghua Taken Into Custody

Ms. Liu Zhonghua from Rizhuang Town was arrested by officers from the Rizhuang Town Police Station on July 5, 2017, for talking to the officers about Falun Gong in the police station. Her home was ransacked.

Ms. Liu's whereabouts are unknown.

15. [Nong'an County, Jilin Province] Ms. Pan Yanjun Detained

Ms. Pan Yangjun was arrested and handcuffed by officers from the Qingshan Township Police Station on July 5, 2017. She was taken to the Nong'an County Detention Center for ten days of detention.

16. [Langfang City, Hebei Province] Ms. Li Cuixiang Arrested

Ms. Li Cuixiang from Yanjiao Town, Sanhe City, was reported to the authorities for distributing Falun Gong materials on the morning of July 6, 2017. She was arrested by officers from the Beiwu Police Station in Beijing. The officers ransacked her home and confiscated her Falun Gong books.

17. [Zhenjiang City, Jiangsu Province] Ms. Zhang Alian Arrested

Ms. Zhang Alian from Jurong City was arrested by officers from the Huayang Police Station on July 4, 2017.

18. [Taiyuan City, Jiangsu Province] Ms. Zhao Yunxia and Ms. Liu Fengling Arrested

Ms. Zhao Yunxia and Ms. Liu Fengling were arrested for talking to people about Falun Gong on July 4, 2017.

19. [Changchun City, Jilin Province] Three Practitioners Arrested

Ms. Zhou Yanhua and Ms. Liu Shuyun from Nong'an County were arrested at home by officers from the Qiangang Police Station on July 4, 2017.

Mr. Ma Jianhua was arrested on July 5, for talking to people about Falun Gong in front of the Nong'an North Train Station.

20. [Xianning City, Hubei Province] Mr. Chen Haishui Arrested

Mr. Chen Haishui from Jilihu Village, Gaotie Town, Jiayu County, was arrested by officers from the Gaotie Police Station on July 4, 2017.

21. [Chongqing] Ms. Duan Arrested

Ms. Duan was arrested in Qinghai Province when she was sightseeing.

22. [Chongqing] Ms. Shi Ling Detained

Ms. Shi Ling was arrested on July 5, 2017, for distributing Falun Gong materials in the Mahuangliang area of the Jiangbei District. She is being held in the Jiangbei District Detention Center.

23. [Panzhihua City, Sichuan Province] Ms. Xie Tailian Detained

Ms. Xie Tailian from Molao Village, Binggu Town, Miyi County, was arrested at around midday on July 4, 2017. She is being held in the Miyi Detention Center.

24. [Fuzhou City, Fujian Province] Mr. He Pengfei Sentenced to a Five-Year Prison Term

Mr. He Pengfei from the Jinshan District was arrested in April 2015. It was learned recently that Mr. He was sentenced to five years in prison, and is being held in the Fuqing Prison.
