(Minghui.org) I have recently noticed that when we hold Falun Dafa activities some of our photographers like to take close-up pictures of Dafa practitioners.
Over the years, almost all of our local practitioners have had close-up photos taken of them by our photographers. These pictures are then posted on social media websites or the local email groups.
Some of our photographers also like to take close-ups of everyday people who support us, such as when they are listening to us talk to them about Falun Dafa or they are reading our posters. Some of these everyday people are Chinese.
Since the persecution of Falun Dafa is still going on, would this be providing information to Chinese Communist Party (CCP)? Isn't this what they have been wanting all these years?
When one practitioner's relative went back to China, the local police told him that special agents from China try to take clear photos of each participant in Falun Dafa parades that are held overseas.
The photos are then sent back to China, where people from the 610 Office in each province try to recognize practitioners from their province. They then find the practitioner's family members and relatives in China.
As cultivators we need to think about others first. We cannot inadvertently provide any form of assistance to the CCP for them to do bad things.
Some of the practitioners participating in Dafa activities are still new practitioners, some still have businesses and families in China, and some are just overseas temporarily.
By taking close-up photos, aren't we potentially putting them in harm's way, and even scaring away some practitioners from participating in Dafa activities?
For those everyday people who support us, we should be even more considerate in protecting their identities from the CCP.
The activities we hold are to validate the Fa. Using photos taken at a distance, or showing many people together in a group may be more appropriate, rather than posting close-ups of individual persons.
