(Minghui.org) Today's news from China includes incidents of persecution that took place in 20 cities or counties in 11 provinces. According to this report, 5 Falun Gong practitioners were subjected to mistreatment during their detention, and at least 23 were illegally arrested.

Ms. Zhai was arrested on July 29, 2017, for talking to people about Falun Gong.

Ms. Yue Xiulan was arrested in Urumqi City in mid-July 2017. The police ransacked her home and confiscated her Falun Gong books.
3. [Anshan City, Liaoning Province] Ms. Xing Dan in Critical Condition
Ms. Xing Dan, a middle school teacher, has been held in the Liaoning Women's Prison. She went on a hunger strike, was force-fed, and is in critical condition. She is in the prison hospital, and two inmates monitor her around the clock.
4. [Shenyang City, Liaoning Province] Ms. Jiang Fengli Held in Solitary Confinement
Ms. Jiang Fengli had been held in the No. 1 Team, No. 5. Ward in Liaoning Women's Prison. She was found in possession of recent articles by Mr. Li Hongzhi, the founder of Falun Gong, and put in solitary confinement.
5. [Nantong City, Jiangsu Province] Ms. Yan Ling and Ms. Wang Jiping Sentenced to Prison
The Tongzhou District Procuratorate and court sentenced Ms. Yan Ling to two years in prison and Ms. Wang Jiping to two-and-a-half years in prison around mid-2017. Both practitioners appealed to the Nantong Intermediate Court. The intermediate court upheld the original verdicts without holding a hearing. The women are being held in Nantong Prison.

6. [Nantong City, Jiangsu Province] Mr. Ding Zhiji and Ms. Zhang Suzhen Arrested
Mr. Ding Zhiji and Ms. Zhang Suzhen were arrested and their homes ransacked by officers from the Tongzhou District 610 Office, the Domestic Security Division, and the Tongzhou District Police Station on the afternoon of July 27, 2017.

7. [Huludao City, Liaoning Province] Ms. Zhang Guihuan Detained
Ms. Zhang Guihuan from Jiumen Township, Xingcheng City, was arrested by officers from the Jiumen Township Police Station on July 28, 2017. She was taken to the Huludao Detention Center.
8. [Changzhou City, Jiangsu Province] Mr. Liu Chengzhi Detained
Mr. Liu Chengzhi was arrested at work by officers from the Xixinqiao Police Station on July 28, 2017. He is now in the Xinlin Detention Center.
His younger brother Mr. Liu Jun is being held in the same detention center.
9. [Suining City, Sichuan Province] Ms. Li Yuqiong Arrested
Ms. Li Yuqiong, 50, from Lanjiang Town was arrested at the Chengdu East Train Station on the morning of July 28, 2017.
10. [Tianjin] Ms. Cheng Jingxia Detained
Ms. Cheng Jingxia from Zhangbiaofa Village, Dongmaquan Town in the Wuqing District, was arrested by plainclothes officers on the morning of July 28, 2017, for talking to people about Falun Gong at the Chengguan farmers market. She was taken to the Tianjin Women's Detention Center.
11. [Changchun City, Jilin Province] Ms. Xia Shumei Arrested
Ms. Xia Shumei from Shuanghechuan Village, Huajia Township, Nong'an County, was arrested at home on July 28, 2017.
12. [Wuhan City, Hubei Province] Ms. Guo Arrested
Elderly Ms. Guo was arrested and taken to the local police station on the morning of July 27, 2017.
13. [Chaoyang City, Liaoning Province] Mr. Shi Xinli Arrested
Mr. Shi Xinli from Dongsanjia Village was arrested on July 7, 2017, for distributing Falun Gong materials.
14. [Chaoyang City, Liaoning Province] Mr. Yu Min Arrested
Mr. Yu Min, in his 60s, from Zhangjiying Township in Beipiao City was arrested and his home ransacked on July 12, 2017, for talking to people about Falun Gong in a farmers market.
15. [Chaoyang City, Liaoning Province] Ms. Li Jiechun Taken to Jinzhou Prison
Ms. Li Jiechun was given a five-year prison term by the Baipiao Court. She has been taken to Jinzhou Prison.
16. [Jinzhou City, Liaoning Province] Ms. Hou Hongyan Arrested
Ms. Hou Hongyan was arrested on the morning of July 29, 2017, for talking to people about Falun Gong.
17. [Jining City, Shandong Province] Ms. Zhang Yu Arrested
Ms. Zhang Yu was arrested and her home ransacked by officers from the Fuqiao Police Station on July 29, 2017.
18. [Harbin City, Heilongjiang Province] Ms. Ren Xiuying Detained
Ms. Ren Xiuying, 76, was arrested by officers from the Harbin Domestic Security Division at the end of July 2017. She is being held in the Yaziquan Detention Center.
19. [Shangshui County, Henan Province] Ms. Teng Yueyou Taken to Xinmi Prison
Ms. Teng Yueyou, in her 60s, from Huangzhai Town was arrested by officers from the Huangzhai Town Police Station on May 26, 2016. She was taken to Xinmi Prison.
20. [Zhangjiakou City, Hebei Province] Ms. Liu Jinye and Ms. Hou Dixia Detained
Ms. Liu Jinye and Ms. Hou Dixia from Zhuolu County were reported for talking to people about Falun Gong on the morning of July 29, 2017. They were arrested by the Zhuolu County Police Department, the Domestic Security Division, and the 610 Office. Ms. Liu was released, but Ms. Hou was taken to the Zhangjiakou Detention Center.

21. [Changchun City, Jilin Province] Ms. Zhang Guozhi Detained
Ms. Zhang Guozhi, 74, from the Luyuan District was arrested by Luyuan District Police Department officers on July 20, 2017. They ransacked her home and confiscated a printer, a computer, and Falun Gong books and materials. She is bneing held in the Changchun City No. 4 Detention Center.
22. [Yishui County, Shandong Province] Three Practitioners Detained
Ms. Liu Hongyun, Ms. Dong Yuangui, and Ms. Gao Yuying were arrested on July 19, 2017, for talking to people about Falun Gong. They are now in the Yishui County Detention Center.
23. [Benxi City, Liaoning Province] Ms. Wu Aiyun Arrested
Ms. Wu Aiyun from Qiaotou Town was reported for distributing Falun Gong materials on the afternoon of July 24, 2017. She was arrested by officers from the Qiaotou Police Station.
