(Minghui.org) Ten residents of Dehui were sentenced to prison for their persistent efforts to resist the Chinese communist regime’s persecution of their spiritual faith–Falun Gong.
The local police had been monitoring the ten practitioners for months before arresting them within a 12-hour period on September 21 and September 22, 2016.
The practitioners were denied the right to hire their own lawyers. They appeared in court on March 24, 2017 and were convicted on July 18. Below are the lengths of their sentences:
Li Ruifeng: 7 yearsWang Chengshun: 5 yearsCui Tao: 4 yearsLi Shaozhen: 3.5 yearsHao Jie: 3.5 yearsYang Jinyu: 3 yearsMa Baofeng: 3 yearsZhang Fengqiu: 3 yearsHu Bo: 2 yearsYang Jinfeng: 1 year
Ms. Yang was also fined 5,000 yuan, while the other nine practitioners were each fined 10,000 yuan.
